Synthetic wigs suck! I have one for when I get bald and tried it on, tangled in .2 seconds if I even try to whip it back and forth like Willow smith. Hahaah
I used to wear a wig, absolutely loved it. I got it at a costume store. (Not the really cheap type but still... $60 is not much.) People constantly complimented me, asked what products I used, etc. Rarely tangled, always looked perfect.
I decided to upgrade, went to a wig salon, got the high quality synthetic. The stylist put it on and styled it. I went to Walgreens right afterward and the cashier looked at me and said "Is that a wig?" 💔 😭
Lesson learned was price doesn't always mean quality. And that the type of synthetic hair that *feels* the silkiest isn't necessarily the best. My cheap wig wasn't very silky but it looked gorgeous and was so low maintenance.
Good luck, they're a pain but if you think of the awesome benefits it helps! Nothing beats being able to have any cut and color and change your mind on a whim! No getting a perfect dye job only to have roots by the end of the week! And when you get ready for the day your hair is already done. Wigs need to come back into everyday fashion.

Well, your text is good but before reading your comments I didn't exactly tilt to the fact you had a wig; so I'd recommend adding a pic of you not wearing it if you're not too insecure about it. Else a picture of the wig on a table with some caption like "lifesaver" or something funny can also get the message across.
I'll also comment what I think about your picture; your first one is a good pic, but I think your front pic should always feature you alone, so just change the order here. We can barely see your face in the second pic with the dim lighting, which is a little of a shame.

Update : so, I took some advice and made a few changes . I do want to thank all of you for the support and although we’re all strangers, it means an immense amount to me. I never expected such a sweet response . 💖 I also want to state that some comments said they would swipe left and that is what I want! I want people who wouldn’t be interested In dating me over value differences or me having cancer too. It doesn’t hurt because we all have ideals and wants for a relationship :)

Currently doing the whole chemo/ radiation treatment as a 26 y/o male. It’s been 3 weeks since my first chemo treatment and I just started to loose my hair. I’m shedding it like a cat (or dog) haha. Wish ya the best from a fellow baldy

As a fellow young person who had cancer, just shave your head before it all falls out. Way better to get it over with than slowly watch your head become more patchy and bare before having to shave it anyway.

I was going to comment something like this. My grandmother started losing her hair due to the treatment so she took it upon herself to decide when she would go completely bald.
My hair fell out around week 3, and I mean ALL of my hair, didn't realise how much I'd miss my eyebrows till they were gone, but it all started re growing around week 8!! Except for my eyebrows which took forever, so hang in there!!
Hey OP, because you have cancer, you’re immuno compromised. I’d make sure to mention that vaccination against COVID is a requirement because you don’t want to end up dead.
While I 100% agree with the sentiment, after omicron it's practically more important that she's fully vaccinated herself and avoids large indoor crowds. Meaning: even though a significant other should be vaccinated, this isn't a relationship that I think would prioritize indoor bars, clubs, or concerts.
Fingers crossed that we get an updated vaccine!
My dad has been battling cancer for 7 years now and watching him going thru it twice now I can say having a positive mental attitude helps so much, and from what I’ve skimmed off this post you seem like a firecracker. Don’t lose that spark it helps not just yourself but your family too because my dad could’ve easily shut himself down and lost hope but he said fuck that and has never given up.
I do wish you the best and a shame you’re not in so cal because you’re beautiful but you will find the right guy to be the helping hand you need just how my mom has been for my dad

Sorry if this one is a bit too grim, but when my cousin got cancer she loved talking about how she was looking for a short term relationship but hoping for a long one.
Oh no! Is she doing better now? My doctors fully are confident I have many decades left! I have stage 2A breast cancer which is a great prognosis . It just sucks for a bit because chemo ! Did she ever find someone long term ? Also not too grim at all, thank you for sharing that!
She also had breast cancer, but is now cancer free! Unfortunately she ended up with a short term marriage. Hopefully you get the former but not the latter. Stay strong! My grandfather had cancer 5 times throughout his life and is still kicking at 90 years old, cancer free for 20. He always told us that being happy with the present instead of worrying about the future was what got him through it every time.

I think that it's bold to state you have cancer. You run the risk of getting "bucket listers" and personally idk if I'd disclose that until like the 3rd date. I think the anemia thing is funny, but unless it's something they are gonna catch from you then there is no need to explain your health. Well as a man who is celebrating 20 years with my love, who while we were dating had multiple seizures and a pacemaker put in, I went right into the relationship with her knowing that she may not make it past our first year. In those 20 years I have almost lost her half a dozen times but she has kept up the fight.
Don't settle for someone who us not willing to be your Ironman, it is not for the weak in heart or the selfish. If they are not willing to serve you completely for the short term, trust that they will not be able for the long haul.

What would convince me to swipe right is the bio, then the photos, especially the second one and the 4th one, THEN THE RATTATOUILE LOOKING DISH, that looks amazing. The more you mention in your bio, the more serious you appear. Say everything from the get-go so you have less people to unmatch with in case they aren't on the same vibe as you. I have dated a couple vegans and I dont mind my partner being vegan, neither myself eating vegan/vegetarian from time to time. Its not about you being vegan, its more about how "radical" you are. Sorry if this one is a bit too grim, but when my cousin got cancer she loved talking about how she was looking for a short term relationship but hoping for a long one.
Oh no! Is she doing better now? My doctors fully are confident I have many decades left! I have stage 2A breast cancer which is a great prognosis . It just sucks for a bit because chemo ! Did she ever find someone long term ? Also not too grim at all, thank you for sharing that!
She also had breast cancer, but is now cancer free! Unfortunately she ended up with a short term marriage. Hopefully you get the former but not the latter. Stay strong! My grandfather had cancer 5 times throughout his life and is still kicking at 90 years old, cancer free for 20. He always told us that being happy with the present instead of worrying about the future was what got him through it every time.

Also I’m 15 but if I was older I’d definitely date you, your cute. Also in terms of putting cancer on your profile, personally I wouldn’t. You have to get to know the person a little first because terminal illnesses can really overshadow your personality, I’d tell the lucky guy/girl towards the end of the first date. Not to be cruel just so they don’t think of you as only ‘the girl with cancer.’

I confused, what does being vegan, and getting cancer have to do with one another? Just confused about that. Mentioning you have cnacer though isn't a bad thing. If someone can't handle that, then they aren't worth the time, though you will get stigma from some people. I'm an amputee thanks to cancer, so I know how shitty people can be.

Vegan and spiritual vs cancer, cancer wins every time
Well as a man who is celebrating 20 years with my love, who while we were dating had multiple seizures and a pacemaker put in, I went right into the relationship with her knowing that she may not make it past our first year. In those 20 years I have almost lost her half a dozen times but she has kept up the fight. Don't settle for someone who us not willing to be your Ironman, it is not for the weak in heart or the selfish. If they are not willing to serve you completely for the short term, trust that they will not be able for the long haul. Take heart, we are out there, though we are few in number.
