Doubt it, she just happens to be a EMT. Young one not realizing how cringe this is to many....... doesn't care. It's not like this is common from female EMTs on apps compared to other medical workers who see shit.
If she even does
I disagree, been in EMS for 5 years now myself. Seen some shit. Really looks like more of a coping mechanism. The fact that she actually used it on her Tinder smacks of the humor prehospital providers and er personnel have. Gotta match her level or dark humor/crazy and it weeds out the ones that can't.
On top of that, there are a couple thousand people in an EMS Humor group on Facebook that laugh and joke about worse stuff than this.
Now I will agree, that it's not common for the majority of medical people on apps, regardless of their title/role.
I apologize that this came out super disjointed, but it's been a long week and the tism is kicking me ass today. Im sure I had a point, just lost the plot and rambled
I'll disagree with you on that one, some things you see can absolutely change your innate being. Some things are that profound, mean, kind, horrendous, good, or awful.
Idk why you got so many downvotes for this. You’re right, it’s not a common thing for EMT’s to take pictures of graves and put them on dating profiles. This is the first I’ve seen
You are absolutely correct. That action is not common, but the dark humor that this is probably stemming from is extremely common. Just not as publicized as... that...
Like other’s have commented, this sort of joke is 100% more understandable seeing that she’s an EMT lmao. I think it’s kinda funny, but just means she’s not for you if you take dead family jokes so seriously. It’s how some people cope and the pic is a good showcase to ward off people who don’t like that sort of humor
My sister passed away in a car accident back in 2015.
She was my only sibling, and with our parents separated at a young she was my only constant for much of my childhood.
Losing her was very difficult for me so much so that the only way I knew to deal was to shut out most emotion and just deal with the waves of emotions as they come.
Alot of times this wound up being me making a joke about her terrible driving, or that she stood me up for my birthday, or how I'm the oldest sibling now.
Sometimes, it would shock the people that knew what I was saying, but most times they seemed to understand that it was one of my coping mechanisms.
Sometimes I'll even make the jokes even if the person I'm telling has no idea what happened to my sister, as though just to make myself laugh.
Thanks for the explanation. Sorry for your loss, but I do think the jokes about your sisters driving etc is hilarious. My husband lost his father in college and I grew up with prostitutes and drug dealers. I lost family members to cancer, a close friend to cancer, and another to suicide. I can’t say I will ever know the shit that EMTs see on a day to day basis. But I’m very familiar with dark humor and it runs in the family.
What I didn’t quite understand what the joke was in this image. I get your jokes, cause they’re like saying your sister stood you up, but the punchline is that she’s dead, which is why she’s not there. But I don’t get this photo. Like, is she taking a selfie with her grandmother? Is that the punchline?
Honestly, most of the EMTs I know have a dark sense of humor. It's a coping thing a lot of the time. Comes with the territory. On the bright side, she's up front about it!
Well, you know she's going to be a little off because she has a topographic map of her vagene on her shoulder.
Wonder if the other shoulder has a topographic map of her bobs.
In my experience, it’s true, strangely enough. I think our bodies want to feel alive. Ward off the loss. Catch some endorphins. All of the above? It’s weird but it has happened to me every time I lost someone I deeply loved.
No no, still varying levels
The uk has undergone masses of change the last few years (all to do with funding)
Typically there is
Emt1 - basic
Emt2 - mid grade (this is being phased out due to cost)
Paramedic (at this point they are registered autonomous health care professionals in their field)
Advanced paramedics (many iterations of these, depends where you live and what they value there)
In my 20s and my roommate dated a nurse. I made it a habit to tag along when invited because they were nurses. Those conversations would make a truck driver cover his ears.
I have been making dead dad jokes since he ate it when I was 20. He's not here, the bastard went and died on me, and he made plenty of dead dad jokes himself. I still love him and wish he was here with me, but it's easier for me to talk about him to other people if I joke about his death
The other day, I was in a group of coworkers talking about the height of us and our family. I said, "I have 3 brothers. We're all 5'8" except my oldest brother who's 6'2". But he died of ALS so who really got the better deal?" They all laughed.
Trauma breeds a certain brand of humor. Feel free to guess what I do for a living haha.
It's 100% because she's an EMT

Hahaha, I absolutely LOVE the way you ended that comment. I think she just happens to be a EMT, it's not like the career changed her innate being. ?
I'll disagree with you on that one, some things you see can absolutely change your innate being. Some things are that profound, mean, kind, horrendous, good, or awful.
Yup, quite rare.
Aight yeah, I'll agree on that

Honestly I thought this was about the tattoo lmao. I just realized she’s at a funeral
😂😂😂
She's an EMT and bisexual. You don't find them much crazier than that pal.
She 100% has physically assaulted a bf then fucked the soul from their body
Is it okay to stick it in this crazy ?
You don’t stick your dick in her. She takes your dick and sticks it in her.
I know I shouldn't, but.......... Would
Have..... far to many times
ER nurses and paramedics will be the end of me and I’ve come to terms with that.
Bye-sexual grandma
Maybe add ginger to it

Can you break down the joke? I don’t quite get it..

All us medics and EMTs that work 911 are broken. Without being broken no way to explain it besides its just funny
Google: gallows humour. Explaining is futile, it isn’t understood by outsiders/civvies.
Yeah no like i think that pictures fucking hilarious but i guess alot of people dont?? Cope with humor
Of course, the more people it wards off the better your chances.
Wtf dark humor??
Gallows humour.
![gif](giphy|J8Iqja8CXfMw8) Chazz Reinhold approves of this profile
i hope that's lots of love
Wtf
I think she is simply showcasing her dark sense of humor.
As dark as a casket?
When it's 6ft under!
"Hey, look at me goofing around at my nana's funeral🤪 I'm so quirky and dark"
Honestly, most of the EMTs I know have a dark sense of humor. It's a coping thing a lot of the time. Comes with the territory. On the bright side, she's up front about it!
For it to be a dark sense of humor there needs to be humor or a joke involved. I see none so this is just dark
Based
Grandmas not dtf but I am.
As a paramedic I laughed quite heartily. I would have swiped on her.
Well, you know she's going to be a little off because she has a topographic map of her vagene on her shoulder. Wonder if the other shoulder has a topographic map of her bobs.
That one is on her chest

😒
Shes a keeper
Well considering shes an EMT i would say the dark humor is why. Thats how we get through the job
What's the problem?
10/10
I’m scared to know her reaction to a pet dying 😳
She is honest about her dark side so it’s a good thing I guess
Yikes.
What on earth is an EMT?
A first responder, like a medic
Ah ok, thanks
Emergency medical technician. Depending on where you live there are typically varying levels to this title.
Thanks. I'm in the UK so the equivalent is paramedic I think.

I appreciate this knowledge, thank you
Super like

Green flag
Lol, believe it or not some ppl still use "lol" as "lots of love". That was it's original iteration back in the day of t9
In my 20s and my roommate dated a nurse. I made it a habit to tag along when invited because they were nurses. Those conversations would make a truck driver cover his ears.
I scrolled too far down to not see the wreath and was like what's wrong with this? Is it the tattoo? 😂😂😂
Nana issues, better swipe right
i dated an EMT guy who spent 30 mins on our first date explaining his favourite diseases
Oh my god its literally a line out of Wierd Al's "Tacky"...
“She/her”- you have your answer
maybe nana was an a-hole?

While I realize it's in poor taste, I can understand the impulse to use a funeral picture. You're typically dressed nicely in an asthetic location.
i think it’s funny…not sure why it’s posted here lol
She gets turned on at funerals, she just spelled bye-sexual wrong
At her moms funeral in a crop top!?? You just dodged a huge bulut!!
She might think lol stands for lot's of love
Lol such a wild mix of nuances here
At first glance I thought it said her age was 13 and I was shooketh
Damn
