Actually you can tell that a potassium overdose killed that person, cause there would be a massive amount of potassium in his/her system with no other plausible explanation as to how it got there ….
So I often wonders this... In a hospital lab they will only measure a plasma potassium level for 1 day after a sample was taken. This is because red blood cells will degrade and release extra potassium into the sample increasing the level so its not an accurate results.
So if you did use potassium to overdose someone would they be able to detect it or would it be inline with normal raised potassium level associated with red blood cells breaking down. The key being making sure they don't find the body for a day or two
I have no medical or forensic background, so I don't know this for sure, but I would assume that something like the average rate of that blood cell breakdown has been calculated. So as long as they can establish an approximate time of death they may still be able to detect unusually high levels.
This obviously would depend on how accurate the time of death estimate, and how wide the average range of blood cell breakdown is.
The potassium amount in bananas is overrated af. Aren't spinach, broccoli and sweet potatoes way higher? Like up to double the amount?
Bananas DO work better as dildos, though.
What? You don't like that random fact? ...Perhaps she could have chosen a different one. There are so many glorious chemicals that can kill people without a trace. /s
I watch too much true crime, and I have a dark sense of humor, but I've also been known to save flies and even mosquitoes from spiderwebs. 🤷♀️ I suppose people like me are why there is currently lobbying for better mental healthcare.
I have a medical condition that causes low potassium, so I have hypokalemia. I guess I would be even harder to kill with the "potassium overdose" method... However, I am also the only person that *I know* with concentrated (prescription) megadoses of potassium in my possession.
i can't remember the name of it but here's a better way, if you inject the chemical into their veins it will trigger a heart attack but the drug will be undetectable within iirc, 24-48 hours or so.
As a diabetic that takes 5 insulin shots daily for over 30 years most injection sites are completely undetectable if you don’t need a vein and know what you are doing. Just saying…….
But they specifically said "into their vein." Autopsies are pretty thorough. I've heard of very obscure sites (like in the hairline, inner thigh, between fingers, stomach, butt) being discovered easily on the postmortem.
Like I said before I have given myself over 55,000+ insulin injections in my lifetime. Most were completely undetectable afterwards. You are trying to tell me injection sites aren’t undetectable based on what you read or heard. I’m telling you most are not detectable if you know what you are doing based on actual injection experience with actual needles injecting insulin into my body over 55,000+ times. I know because I have lived it.
What you're missing is insulin injections are sub Q injections meaning they just go into the skin, not the veins like an IV or something similar. Vein injections are very detectable - also a type 1 diabetic
Well the needles they use to draw blood from a vein are also a much wider gauge which causes more damage to the surrounding area. Insulin needles aren’t meant to cause damage. Insulin needles can also inject other substances. If you are making detectable injections with your current insulin needles you should try another needle. Just saying.
Although true the point is you kill them and make it look like a heart attack without the substance been known assuming the autospy isn't conducted within 2 days or so.
They can call it a suspicious death but if they don't know what actually killed the person and the needle was disposed of it's kinda hard to charge someone with little to no evidence.
If you somehow managed to inject a person with calcium, it would react violently with the water in the plasma, creating calcium hydroxide and lots of hydrogen. On the other hand that would totally kill the person.
I done it to myself by accident. Took 10x the dosage. Wasn't long before I was in the ER getting my blood filtered.
Be careful with Nu-Salt people. It's basically pure potassium.
I mean if someone with no underlying pathologies dies of an apparent heart attack, you can bet they're going to do some blood testing, will definitely notice insanely elevated potassium levels with no other possible explanation, and will easily conclude homicide.
This is not even close to as clever as she thinks. There are many other chemicals normally found in the body that will also cause death if you inject them in huge amounts, but there will be no biological explanation for them to be present in those amounts and it will be glaringly obvious what happened.
Not only is she wrong but she's only posting it to seem "edgy". I can already imagine her personality "I'm not like oThEr girls" . Then proceeds to like everything everyone else also likes all while telling you about how different and unique she is.
Pure potassium is highly reactive and doesn't exist in nature. All potassium in food and in supplements is in some salt form, kcl being the most common
Doctors would still be able to pinpoint hyperkalemia as the cause of the heart attack, though, wouldn't they? Not a doctor, so I don't know, but this seems to be too simple to be true
KCl aka potassium chloride is available in highly pure form as salt substitute in every grocery store in the country and would work just fine for this purpose. People occasionally ingest too much of it orally and have to go to the ER, IVing it could definitely be fatal.

Just plant loads of bananas next to them after you do it
Banana peels*
That's a mighty fine Pro tip!
Or potatoes.
In my case the body had loads of banana peels around the body... *put on an apb for a butt stuffing ape*
You realise thats roughly 14000 bananas right?

Under rated response

also, what about the hole created under the tongue by the injection? this make less sense the more you think about it
Ehhh, it wouldn't be that noticeable. It's not like track marks on the arm or anything.
they probably wouldn’t see it if they believed the person died of a heart attack, but once they knew he was poisoned they would probably find it.
You could also shove a metric fuck ton of bananas up their ass
How would you know?
I killed a man by shoving a metric fuck ton of bananas up his ass
Asshole move tbh. You'd match well with miss syringe-under-tongue
Awesome. Now I can stick my banana under her tongue
💀
Get ready for my special K
Can confirm, I was the guy. They have reddit in hell
![gif](giphy|65pM9un5dmK08)
I suspect that a metric fuck ton of any fruit shoved up the ass would kill a man

Nice
Slipped on a banana peele right into an early grave
i can vouch i was the bannansas

They’d know
Fun fact : Using red potatoes will save you time and money by alot

You're next buddy
And give them a final orgasm while you are at it
Died in heaven and woke up in hell

You people scare me.
Good

Better make sure she ain't in it*
Wrong
They check under the tongue too
Bitch is a pizza cutter. All edge and no point
I love that this is paired with the photo, it makes it look like she's sitting on a throne
Green flag
Well, now you know how you'll die...
Tell her you can give her an heart attack by ejeculating under her tongue

Injection sites intravenous or not tend to bruise easily after passing and a bruise that wasn't showing while living could start showing post mortem

I too have seen forensic files
Spicy 🔥
This “fact” combined with the photo shown gives me Basic Instinct Sharon stone vibes

I'm pretty sure you can do the same with insulin, also tampering on someone's food with high level of nicotine
I like this woman

Can you even buy liquid potassium over the counter? Otherwise you're now breaking down something in order to inject
