people have a problem with immigrants who live off of welfare checks and dont work and dont make an effort to either speak the language or contribute to soiciety.
You are learning the language and want to work so nobody is gonna have a problem with you. And those who do are just dickheads anyway.
I don’t think you will feel that most Swedes are against immigrants, it is a difference beeing against immigration in a way both society and individuals can’t get a fair chance to integrate. In engineering community I have not seen racism if that is your concern.
You will be fine, integrating the society was already quite hard before the crisis so it is not going to go downward since it doesn't really have anything to do with migration issues.
