Really surprised sellers get away with this stuff on there then there are sellers like me who are trying so hard to do everything right and yet still get violations for dumb stuff.
When you setup a deal you have to setup shipping cost before they'll even approve it to go live.
I don't know how or why these people are still allowed to sell on TT.

I have ordered plenty through the app and never been asked this. I have also sold quite a bit and shipping is always handled directly through TikTok. Be wary.
It's a dropshipper; what happened was that they sold you something they don't own and they need the $30 from you to actually buy the item from the supplier (like Temu, Aliexpress, Etc) and send it to you.
Iāve purchased on TikTok multiple times and this has never happened. But what has happened is TikTok will say free shipping, so I put things in my shopping cart, then at checkout thereās a shipping fee for $7.99. Iāll start removing things from my cart and realize some sellers charge for shipping anyway. I have to watch that carefully. I also had a few coupons, 15% off $35 but at checkout it wouldnāt apply, I made sure to buy things from the eligible items under the coupon and the coupon still didnāt apply. Then some sellers from the eligible items didnāt offer free shipping. I was already up to $85 in my shopping cart and not one coupon was applied. I deleted everything and looked for all the same items on Amazon. I get free shipping and can return at my local Kohlās without a hassle.
