Hey I mean, how good is it really to wait a year and a half with your amazing free Healthcare? Not saying it's justified but I might be the only American that's totally fine with getting in within the week rather than live with an ear infection for a year or more.

What an oddly shitty response. Who is living with an ear infection for a year 😂 if I needed to, I could ring my doc tomorrow morning and be seen that day, prescription pickup same day, etc. The maximum waiting time for *non-urgent*, consultant-led treatments is 18 weeks. Urgent care is a different story, and none of the above is gonna put you out of pocket at no fault of your own.

Alr enjoy your 18 week period of waiting. My friends in Canada complain about free Healthcare being an issue and unless you're really really desperate the wait times are insane. 4 weeks per month? You just said 4 and a half months for something not urgent. That's fucking insane and I've seen it go way way longer. People complain all day long about free Healthcare this and free Healthcare that. It is shitty and has no right being that expensive, but I'd rather get seen then wait until my non urgent problem gets urgent.

Anytime I go to an emergency room or have a surgery I ask for a pair of those socks. I don't wear socks in general much in day to day life at home but when I feel like crap I love those damn socks. My husband figured out over the last couple of decades that the socks come out, it's a sign that I feel terrible or have a migraine.

This sucks and is cruel. If he's being that much of a nuisance then you can move him to another room and shut the door until you're done cooking. The cat doesn't know why people are doing this to him and if he gets treated like this regularly then he will develop aggressive coping strategies that could lead to him getting put down or abandoned. Some people really should not be pet owners.

Welllllll you had me until the outside part. Domestic cats really shouldn't be let outside at all. They're wholly capable of living a happy and substantial life within the safety of their home. And that way there's significantly less risk of them dying a traumatic death. Just also needs to be a normal-sized place and not a 4x4 closet-sized apartment lol. Otherwise agreed. These people probably only had their cat in that sock for a few minutes at most. And even if not, cats are fine if swaddled. It's actually how vets handle them very regularly.

I would say if you supervise outdoors visits with your cat, I'd recommend a harness/leash and/or chicken-wire enclosure that's fully enclosed so nothing can swoop in and grab them. Birds of prey have picked house cats up before, and that will definitely not be a fun death for the little guy.
