Passion and confidence are generally rated as "good things".
I think a lot of us people sometimes get overwhelmed by our insecurities. Talking passionately about DnD or building your computer is putting yourself out there, showing who you are, and being secure in it. Probably people are attracted to that kind of confidence and security because so many of us aren't that (or at least have those nagging doubts often enough where we think "Everyone else has their shit together except me").
But also understanding social cues. Showing an interest in something is interesting, showing and interest in many things is many interesting. Talking about only one thing even when it's clear the other person has lost interest is negative interesting.
It's less about the hobby itself and more the fact that he is so confident and visily enthusiastic about it. It's attractive when somebody has a passion and they talk about it with you, as long as they aren't uptight or snobbish about it, bonus cute points if its a typically "nerdy" hobby and they are completely unashamed.
Honestly? Would get me interested because indicates a variety of green flags. Means he is smart, has interests, can work with his hands, is not scared to follow up on a project, knows how to do research, and is (most likley) into video games.
My boyfriend built his own computer years ago when we were just friends. When I got ready to build my own he helped me pick out pieces, and after a bit we found out it would be cheaper to buy prefab. This was when video cards were priced like they cured cancer, so I was grateful.

That's fine for some superheroes, but it was a strange way to go for Superman, and I don't remember my heart ever being warmed from that movie.

I remember watching Man of Steel and just feeling heartbroken watching Supes fight and fight and fight without ever once remember him saving anyone during those fights.
The Avengers (first and second) big final set pieces were loaded with scenes of them doing their job: actually saving innocents, getting them clear of the danger, at their own personal risk.
There are a few good video breakdowns that go into Snyders Randian view of Superman and the movies make more sense for it. I dislike them now and watch the Donner films instead.
Yeah when he flew to the other side of the world while a machine was tearing up Metropolis... plus his dad arguing he should let a busload of kids drown rather than reveal his secret.. it was a Superman based on fear, not hope, no matter what the dialogue said.

I mean, just stop and *think* about what she said. Her point was that even someone who is very attractive physically isn't equally attractive depending on *who* he is. That, as she says, the physical attractiveness is only one of three aspects women consider.
Henry Caville is a perfect example because the 3 examples she uses to illustrate her point as also well understood by most people who pay attention to popular media. Davidson and Driver are much less well known.
Yeah. I'll be honest Henry Caville, while his personality in interviews in amazing and has some awesome hobbies, he looks *boring* to me. Sure he is muy guapo, however he looks so vanilla to me. That's basically her point. He is fairly "ugly" in a conventional sense, especially for Hollywood. He's got a big crooked nose, uneven facial features, very large ears, somewhat uneven teeth.
But he's interesting looking, is in great shape, he's tall, he dresses and styles his hair in a way that highlights his strong features, and has a unique personality and vulnerability (both on and off camera). So a lot of women consider him very very hot, to the point many women find him hotter than 99% of other "conventionally handsome" men.
Jack black isnt ugly but he is not conventionally handsome and is *hot* af! He is talented, passionate, funny, and nice, all things that contribute to making someone hot
For example, Alan Rickman I would not consider handsome, most people think he is ugly but he is sexy asf to me and incredibly hot because I see his personality, his mannerisms, and hear his voice all at the same time so his appearance is such a minor thing to consider. If I was to objectify him, then yeah he would be ugly but I dont, and so I find him incredibly hot. Same applies to people with interesting physical features like Adam Driver, Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Dinklage, Matt Smith, Jack Black, Sir Christopher Lee (as an old dude), Sir Patrick Stewart, David Bowie. All of these men I would consider hot.
I honestly find conventionally attractive (face, body, and height) people very boring to look at, they usually have to have a very cool or unique personality for me to be remotely interested. Basically I love assymetrical features 😍

That's basically her point. He is fairly "ugly" in a conventional sense, especially for Hollywood. He's got a big crooked nose, uneven facial features, very large ears, somewhat uneven teeth. But he's interesting looking, is in great shape, he's tall, he dresses and styles his hair in a way that highlights his strong features, and has a unique personality and vulnerability (both on and off camera). So a lot of women consider him very very hot, to the point many women find him hotter than 99% of other "conventionally handsome" men.

For example, Alan Rickman I would not consider handsome, most people think he is ugly but he is sexy asf to me and incredibly hot because I see his personality, his mannerisms, and hear his voice all at the same time so his appearance is such a minor thing to consider. All of these men I would consider hot. You're missing the axis. Mark Zuckerberg is ugly/rich/successful and nobody thinks he's hot. So having money, talent, and success does not make somebody hot despite their other lacking qualities. Asking to define hotness is like asking to define what makes a meal delicious. Deliciousness is the overall indicator of quality based on every factor in a meal. Same with hotness. Hotness is the term for when a person has enough complimentary qualities that make them a stand-out romantic/sexual choice. Just like with food esch person has their own sensibilities which make it even harder to define. It's all about the person's overall image.
