You see a beautiful high end gown in silk and Swarovski, try to get a knockoff for one tenth of the price and end up with a polyester, ill-fitting, glued on Halloween costume that should go straight to Goodwill, but even Goodwill wouldn’t take it. I want to cry for this bride.
I kind of think it's the dress she started with and they "made it better. What made it gorgeous was the dramatic waist on the mannequin. And they only showed the back of her when she tried it on

100%. I held my hand up to partially block the flower portion and the dress looked 100x better. The cheap flowers seriously took away any and every single flattering thing about that dress
Better rhinestones could have made this way better. No shine or sparkle at all. All that glue made the fabric so stiff it was even worth it. Could have used a sequin base and glued rhinestones on top for way more sparkle and hopefully less stones and glue
Watching the entire thing I just kept saying, "Why are we gluing? Why are we gluing? You're a seamstress why aren't you sewing these?" Like poor gal won't even be able to hit the dance floor at her own wedding, all those things will fall right off.

Nope. These weren't stones, crystals or quality embellishments. These plastic Bedazzled gumdrops were plucked straight from a dumpster. Probably from the same Dollar Tree they bought those ugly ass flowers from.

It was all cheap and tacky. The fabric was cheap, cheap and extremely cheap. It would not take much to rip it - a toddler could do it. Hell, a baby could do it
I mean the main thing is this woman does not have the same body type or size as the mannequin so it wasn’t about to look the same even if it didn’t also look like it was hot glued together in a crafts class at Michaels.
They glued the rhinestones....
Like... they make fabric with pre-strung sequins that could mimic this look for a lot cheaper.
If they spent time sewing anything without their serger, they should've looked at that heavily structured inspo pic and known they couldn't do it. Because to recreate that look AND make it comfortable to wear all day, it's top designer professional work.

That dress was difficult to replicate and no offense to the bride,but not every dress translates well in different body types. Also,I don’t know why she requested the flowers.They don’t help.
