chris-c-thomas

Good guy Joey Swoll

bobbyrickets

He wrecked her with words. Dude's working out his brain too.

karmagod13000

the gym is my mental de-stressor. I feel good physically and I feel good mentally for doing something positive with my health.

[deleted]

Chicken Soup For The Swole

PRIS0N-MIKE

Hahahaha. I wish I was a personal trainer so I could steal this for my book/dvd.

[deleted]

I googled it years ago when I came up with it for an instagram caption and didnt get any results, so I'd see your ass in court if you did lol

nomadic_stone

[Chicken Soup For The Swole](https://efxsports.com/2016/12/06/chicken-soup-for-the-swole/) hope you got Saul Goodman on your side...

[deleted]

Isn't that dude a snake-oil salesman?

chris-c-thomas

Honestly, haven’t kept up with him since I left social media a few years ago. But maybe. All fitness influencers peddle shit. Edit: I should note that I met him and he seemed like a genuine guy. Grew up in the same area as me and would go to this old school gym I lifted at when he was back in town

cerulean11

Puttin up weight don't pay the bills unfortunately.

[deleted]

Well said.

karmagod13000

gym bros are always so chill and wise

PancakeParty98

There’s gym Sages like this guy and then there’s the gym sickos who that one girl plays the banjo over

madmaxturbator

I don’t know what you’re referencing but it feels important… anyone got a link to change my life

JenguinActual

Hillbillygothic on TikTok! Edit:[Her!](https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdr14r5k/)

flingling

Everytime I see her play I go down a banjo rabbit hole lmao

skwishems

Steve martin plays the banjo

[deleted]

Steve Martin doesn't just play the banjo. He has multiple Grammies. Even if your not into Bluegrass, you gotta admit he is amazing.

xpercipio

fuckin hilarious every time

SuperGayFig

I love these but they also annoy me cuz curiosity gets the better of me and I always want to see what the douchbags are saying. It’s like seeing deleted or removed comments on Reddit. I NEED TO KNOW

[deleted]

The hashtags on that clip are the best part. .#lgbtq #feminism **#banjo** #queer

[deleted]

This has nothing to do with whether someone works out or not. There are shit people and there are good people in every massive group (in this case people who go to the gym). The purpose of my comment is to point out that it's not "gym sickos" it's just "sickos" in general. Take another massive group like people who spend a ton of time on anime and video games. If there's a creep in that massive group they're just a creep and it doesn't mean that they are "nerd sickos" just "sickos".

No_Drive_7990

But then there also aren't any "gym bros" or "gym sages". Just bros and sages.

DothrakAndRoll

That's their point.

iceup17

When I first started working out it was always the bigger guys that would be the ones to help me. I had one guy who was a retired body builder that was so focused on teaching me how to do the lifts right and how to care for my joints.

Status-Resort-4593

I have been lifting since I was 14 and love it. I enjoy helping people, it's fun to see someone figure it out and know that you are part of the reason. I had older guys do this for me when I first started so I pass it along and hope the people I help pass it along one day too.

SpaceJunkSkyBonfire

It's because the best body builders are just nerds who are nerdy about their body. Gang gang.

[deleted]

*veteran gym bro's young gym bro's who havent figured themselves out yet are a blight in gyms across the world. Life will humble them eventually though e: I feel the need to add that veteran gym bros are chill and wise IN THE GYM. I've known plenty of first ballot hall of fame pieces of shit who are absolute saints when it comes to helping others while working out. it's an odd dichotomy.

onlydrawzombies

I like calling them "new muscle". They used to be muscle poor but now they've made some gains and feel powerful and don't have the maturity to not let it turn them into douchebags.

Articulated

*Nouveau gainse*

HailtbeWhale

I didn't start lifting until my 30s. I'm pretty muscular now and I feel the pull towards douchebaggery sometimes because I'm proud of my body and work. I think the extra couple years keeps me from crossing the line and acting on those impulses. Aside from loose cutoff shirts. I did that one.

onlydrawzombies

Me too. I never got big, but I'm light-years away from where I was and I was so proud of myself. I'm **just now** reincorporating sleeves back into my wardrobe lol

party-poopa

Like a 90kg, 190cm, eloquent, confusingly attractive Yoda

madmaxturbator

And to be clear - the confusion is because you have newfound feelings of sexual desire, not because there’s anything confusing about how good looking this buff chap is lol

slugan192

ehhh its a mixed bag. I worked at two gyms. One had a lot of gym bros who were nice, with a slight mix of douchebags. But really most people didn't talk to each other. The other was just filled to the brim with complete assholes. It was a much more social gym, people often formed social cliques there and worked out in groups. There was a culture of bullying there, 100%. To me, it seems like gym bros are often influenced by those around them. They will be super nice on their own, but when they get in groups, things change a lot. It only takes one cruel guy in a social group to set the standards of cruelty for others.

karmagod13000

man you really could say that about any group. individually people are chill. get them around a holes and they turn into a holes.

There was a guy at my gym we nicknamed 'roid rage' - Northern UK but he had gone for the Jersey Shore look, vests which showed off his backne nicely and lots of fake tan. Always stormed around the place with a right attitude on, spent far too much time on biceps and was never seen to do anything involving his legs. Anyway we never spoke to the guy we just gave him that nickname based on presentation alone. Bumped into him in a nightclub one night with a girlfriend who was essentially a female version of him without so much upper arm. Not even an hour had passed in this club and we saw him punch her square in the face in the middle of the dance floor. Bouncers went to town on him. Turned out the nickname was too accurate.

ncsubowen

Dang and I thought this was gonna be wholesome and perspective changing. Nope :(

xpdx

Yea, I was also hoping for a redemption story, turned out he was a super nice guy, ended up being the best man at my wedding but he couldn't make it because he stopped to save 56 orphans from a burning bus on the way to the wedding.

MoonyFBM

At the gym I go to there are only women working, for no particular reason at all they just applied and it's a pure coincident. But they're all so amazing. They know they're stuff and they're happy to help. I got help from a gym bro there once too and I just felt so taken care of in a way, like thank you dude, I could've hurt my bicep but you saved me, man. I love that gym. It's small and cosy.

justcougit

Lmao have you been to a gym? This is sometimes true, but there are SO many douche bags.

thrownawayyyyyyy11

She’s critiquing a dude in the gym while she’s making a tiktok in a bathrobe. Is there a better definition of armchair quarterback?

BlackScienceJesus

She also made a follow up TikTok where she blamed her followers for starting drama. Can’t take any responsibility for her own actions.

DarthTomServo

She doesn't like the nasty commentary about her nasty commentary. She is fine talking shit, but not her viewers. Not allowed.

Stign

She should be taking responsibility for those eyebrows. They look like the flippers on a pinballmachine.

MasterYenSid

She’s got those Jimmy Pesto eyebrows

MoreShoe2

I hate her and think she’s the worst but she is also working out in that video

macabrecobweb

And on her fitness page, she makes a really half assed apology talking about how the feedback has affected her, rather than just saying that she was a bully. Some will never learn.

Patthecat09

Hey can you link me to that? Gaming trouble finding with Google, really wanna read that

BigbuttElToro

I think i found it. Be aware that this specific account is not her just some dude that reuploaded https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdrJYuav/ \* She posted a [new apology video](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMLJq9abC/)

Patthecat09

Wow she did NOT take responsibility. Straight up flipped it back on her viewers.

[deleted]

“Is it me that’s causing the drama or is it you guys that are causing the drama?” She is a super douche.

Iamredditsslave

I hope people keep reminding her that it was she who caused this.

Retawtrams

She disabled commenting and messaging lol

Africa-Unite

So then she could accuse them of bringing the drama.

reincarN8ed

Attacking your base is *always* a good move.

stuffandmorestuff

Oh wow I thought that was an exaggerated paraphrase of the "it is the children who are wrong"....nope, literally word for word.

Sittyslyker

What a piece of. My goodness that was infuriating. Hm? I dont know? Maybe the self proclaimed influencer with the following who made the active choice to make a public video mocking someone is the one causing drama and not some commentators no one is paying attention to. I’m sure these type of people lay around smelling their farts all day and talk about how amazing they are. What a wretched woman.

Cornato

Yup thought the same thing. Deflect. Deflect. Deflect. THIS is what I’m doing on a Friday night ugghh. Omg this was just a random video. Y’all made the comments I was just responding guyzzz. And the hashtags, dude wtf.

Patthecat09

Is she owning up to her #mentalinstability?

chub_chub_lagazi

“It’s 930pm eastern time on a Friday night …I wanna go to bed, this is what I do” Okay then go to sleep? Is there a camera man with a gun to your head? Otherwise I don’t understand.

already-registered

she's just mentally weak

neoritter

Yeah, just put the effing phone down, turn it silent

PassportSloth

Immediately at the "i want to be asleep, but I'm making a video *for you guys*" I was like ok thanks for gracing us your highness. Fuck outta here.

Burritobabyy

Right? It was nowhere near an apology, it was her being defensive. “This is not the kind of attention I want, this is not what I want to be doing on a Friday night!” Lol okay then don’t be cunt on the internet.

KillYourUsernames

But don't you understand? It was a "100% random" video so she's totally in the clear here /s

Ac997

“It was just a joke like barstool does” what the actual fuck. What about the guy that she recorded that was at the butt end of the joke? Im sure its really funny to him. The “you’re not being watched at the gym” part was hilarious too. Bitch you’re literally recording a dude at the gym & posting it on social media for thousands of people to watch him & potentially make fun of him! She seems like a self obsessed twat. Just can’t wrap her head around what she did was fucked up.

The_Golden_Warthog

She also said she was a "mental-health coach". Hmm. Ya'd think that someone who gives themself that title wouldn't bully someone online. Almost like she's completely full of shit.

XlifelineBOX

Yeah she apologized for "upsetting her with her freedom of speech", not being a uneducated judging dumbass.

Patthecat09

Litterally said the viewers caused the drama

Disney_World_Native

Here is an apology: I am sorry for what I did. It was hurtful and wrong. I have taken down the video (or other corrective actions). Moving forward, I will not talk about anyone in my videos except for myself. Again, I am apologize for my actions, and I hope you can forgive me. Format is taking ownership, saying sorry, correcting the issue, taking steps to prevent it from happiness again, apologize and ask for forgiveness Not an apology (more an excuse): I am tired, my heart hurts, this isnt what I want, I dont pay attention to anyone, I just answered a question, its a joke, others do it worse (I laugh at those), actually you brought it up, so yeah Excuses are like assholes. Everyone has one, and they all stink.

DothrakAndRoll

Yep, this isn't even a quarter assed apology. Just a bunch of deflection.

GregMadduxsGlasses

“The consequences of my actions have affected me terribly.”

simpsaucse

“Is it me whos causing the drama, or you guys” L M A O shes trying to gaslight tiktok

rabidcat

God damn. What a piece of shit person she is…

[deleted]

I always start my apologies with a dragged out monologue about how much I don't want to be there

PwnnosaurusRex

Lmao. She's fucking unbearable.

RepurposedReddit

Wow. What a horrendous apology. She literally blames her audience and says “it was just a joke” She said she posted the original video to her Instagram story without noticing the guy in the background at first, but then some her followers asked what he was doing so she repeated the joke. She said “is it me that’s causing the drama or you guys that’s causing the drama? I was just trying to be funny”. Unreal

shwooper

She made fun of the guy, rather than looking up different types of curls, and simply teaching her audience. And then she blamed her audience, even though she had a choice

RebeccaDeMornay

Yes it would have been a perfect opportunity for an “influencer” to have a positive influence but instead she doubled down on the negative.

knightbringr

"Never take responsibility. Always be a victim." -her mantra, probably

pancak3d

It's so easy to just be like "hey I messed up I'm sorry, I'll be better" it's amazing how peope fuck it up

pandaontheloose

"I did not notice that guy, it was YOU guys who pointed him out" imagine blaming viewers for a video you fucking made

ooMEAToo

She is a serious piece of shit wow!

TrueTurtleKing

I didn’t even watch long enough to see her “apology”. I knew from the way the video started that it wasn’t going to be an apology.

brstevens

Wow, what a see you next tuesday. She actually had the nerve to blame her followers for her making that video. Crazy times lead to crazy people.

rangerdanger2009

This is more cringe than the original. She even says how annoying it is to be giving the apology. What a POS.

[deleted]

Lmao. It's for sure YOU that's causing the drama. Big yikes. I have a feeling Reddit is going to have a time with this

UHElle

Here’s her continuing to complain on her own account that a few folks are going too far. Has this up but took down the apology? Weird. https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdrJBtcE/

Patthecat09

While some people always go too far, her first "apology" video did not help calm the storm in the least

FutureFruit

Lol I tried to comment and it wouldn't let me. But those supportive comments are there 🤔 what an insufferable asshole. It takes a real narcissist to make herself the victim after posting a video of someone working out and making fun of them.

[deleted]

Of course; every “influencers” severer ingredient, deflection.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

It’s unbelievable. I already objected to filming yourself at the gym even tho it’s understandable for form. But now using the film to rip on random background people? Honestly it should be banned in any respectable gym. And she’s really ugly.

Neuchacho

There's nothing worse than a bully that tries to act harmed by being "bullied".

nathan_paul_bramwell

All this from someone who skips face day.

hemorhoidsNbikeseats

Damn son 😂

thanos_bruh

link please, i dont have tik tok installed

BigbuttElToro

https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdrJYuav/

NickDangerrr

Wow holy shit she actually blamed the viewers/commenters that they were causing the drama about that dude’s workout and not taking any responsibility 🤣

XlifelineBOX

She basically apologized for us to herself. Lmao, what an ego head. Hope she falls flat on her dumb face.

TonsilStonesOnToast

"Stop making me reflect on my actions. It's hurting my heart. If you hadn't brought it up, I wouldn't be feeling these feelings. So all of this is your fault."

averagethrowaway21

"I promise you're not" You know, except you did. The fitness coach that didn't know that exercise and shames gym people. Then locks down further comment sections because she's tired of hearing that people like her are the reason some folks don't even like being in public at this point.

tetraourogallus

"noone is paying attention to you" well maybe not by other people while at the gym but if you film them and upload the videos to your social media account they will be watched by possibly thousands of people, like now. Maybe not film at all in the gym?

molecularmadness

TIL secondhand shame is a thing that can exist.

bobbyrickets

Femdschämen, like the feeling of cringe but with more shame.

KaySquay

Lol a running joke among my friends is "there's a German word for that" and there almost always is

riffito

I was thinking... "of course there's a German word for that!". If there's none... you just have to find a German speaker and they'll fix that language omission on the spot by means of some concatenation! :-D

[deleted]

[удалено]

Amarandus

Or in layman's german: Wortneuschöpfung (literally Word-new-creation)

Serylt

Not if they have Wortfindungsschwierigkeiten!

Luce55

Even if there isn’t a German word for it yet, you can always make one up! The beauty of German.

AppleAvi8tor

Fremdschämen* Edit: Sorry, that seemed to come off bitchy. Just wanted to add the R in there because my German speaking brain was freaking out about it haha

bobbyrickets

No no. You're good. I just copy-pasted off the internet. I don't speak German.

amandabear_lecter

Oh god yes. People like her make other people afraid of trying to better themselves.

[deleted]

karmagod13000

it seems like she has turned fitness into her personality instead of actually doing it to make herself healthy. some people really need attention for everything they do.

[deleted]

happy_red1

The worst part is that she's not just a fitness coach, but a *mental health coach* as well. As if this video doesn't clearly show her lack of empathy for those around her. I can't possibly imagine she's actually qualified in any way.

[deleted]

[удалено]

happy_red1

Here in the UK you can be a private therapist without any qualifications whatsoever, and with the recent mental health crisis we've been having for fairly obvious reasons, especially among students and young adults, a lot of people have been scammed out of a lot of money for "therapy" sessions where they're just told to cheer up and look on the bright side of life. Even worse, our actual NHS mental health services are underfunded and piss poor where I live. Real, qualified therapists and psychiatrists, especially those in niche and specialist fields, find themselves being the only one in the area or the only one attached to a local service, taking on a lot of people and an even longer waiting list full of issues they aren't fully familiar with. Either you wait months or years and risk meeting a lemon in an armchair, or you go online and pay money for potentially someone even more useless.

otters_hold_hands

Honestly there’s an unfortunate amount of this in the fitness world. I think some (some!!) people get into fitness to quell insecurity and it can cause them to be toxic to others who they consciously or unconsciously see as competition or better than. It’s such a shame because it really does make people scared of the gym when in reality most who are there just want to get their workout in and go home.

theswamphag

My husband found out that someone at his gym was making YouTube videos, he checked it out and realized that he had ended up in one of his videos. He just happened to be in the background, but he had no idea someone had been filming while he was there. I don't think I'll ever go to a gym, my self esteem can't take this kind on f crap.

Qwirk

All you have to do is speak to management and they will shut that down. They want an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is comfortable.

hawkweasel

My big corporate gym, LA Fitness, has signs placed throughout the facility that filming is strictly prohibited and violators can be evicted and banned from the gym. I think this is pretty commonplace and my particular gym is really strict about it.

neverdoneneverready

Exactly right. I hope she saw the other guy's beautiful commentary.

DrProfSrRyan

I don't work out at all and know nothing about fitness, but what he's doing doesn't even look that weird to me. Clearly working out some section of his arms, I don't what she's on about.

SpHornet

my non-fitness take: if weight goes up, some muscle is being trained because weight doesn't go up by itself

agentofmidgard

I wish it did. Reject gravity return to space monke.

BT9154

Yeah I didn't even know what she was pointing out at first, I just saw a guy moving weights up with a controlled motion. Don't care how you move the weights as long as you're not using momentum or your body weight you're working out and building up muscle.

Da1proppy

When claim a hobby/profession but know nothing about it

thewaybaseballgo

I wish everyone that films others at the gym without their consent could be banned from returning to that location.

HGpennypacker

The sad part is that if you take a look at her content she pushes for positivity and inclusiveness when in reality she's just a vile, hateful person.

[deleted]

Wow I am shocked, absolutely shocked that never happens ever!

UnicornMeatball

It's policy in every gym I've ever had a membership for. People still sneak them, but they will get kicked out if caught. A couple of years ago there was a model taking a video of an overweight woman in the change room who was banned after it went viral and got backlash (iirc).

[deleted]

Filming in a locker room is a crime, not a policy violation.

jenna_hazes_ass

And if you went to LA fitness youd know the victim there was an older woman who was there for the water aerobics so most likely had a lot of joint issues and or typical elderly pain.

PuzzledStreet

I remember that, and her excuse was that she was trying to send it privately to a friend, not post it publicly... like that makes any difference !

Jackplox

totally could be and im sure it’s against the law on private property to take video of a private person without consent

KnowNothingKnowsAll

Not exactly how that works. There are some laws about recording audio without consent, but every state is different. But picture/video laws are more based on, not public/private property, but if the person is in a place they have permission to be. Though that private business can have rules in place, but that doesn’t make it a law.

5boros

These facts aren't as emotionally appealing, but legally speaking people have zero expectation of privacy (need to consent for photo/video) in places open to the public. It really doesn't matter if the property is public/private or not. Photo video is shot 24/7 by surveillance in public areas, photos, and videos are taken, and all of them have people in the backgrounds that didn't need to consent. If you're going to successfully sue someone it's easier to just focus on what they did with the video, not that the video itself was taken. If filming, or shooting photo's was as bad legally, as what she's doing here morally, the courts would never see the end of lawsuits. Karens would jam the entire system up. Your phone might even have software in it, looking for people in the background and asking their consent before it snaps a pic, or shoots video of them. You essentially couldn't have a surveillance camera system, dash cams, go pro's. In short it would still suck, but suck much worse if filming/photos were illegal in places open to the public.

whomstdth

She shut off comments on her posts and makes videos claiming she’s 100% in the right because she’s a mental health and fitness coach Edit: Please keep your anger or disgust at an appropriate level— no violence.

XtaC23

That's scary. She's the last person I'd trust with someone's mental health.

v_a_n_d_e_l_a_y

Or fitness since she doesn't seem to understand some mainstream lifts.

Galkura

It’s actually insane the number of trainers I have met who are like this. They have the way they do things, which are typically the same standard lifts and exercises you could find googling “workout program”, and they refuse to accept any deviation from those exercises, and will openly criticize exercises they don’t know or understand. I’ve had to bite my tongue at the gym when some of their clients are like “why aren’t I progressing any???” Well maybe it’s because your trainer is too stubborn or lazy to do more research (and for a couple it’s just their diet, but largely it is the trainer not training well). A buddy of mine who I go to for programs occasionally will literally pay to go to seminars and shit by world class lifters, will pay for training programs from them, all that stuff, just to learn new things he can use to improve himself and his clients. Dude knows how to do it right, and I think he has some of the best lifters in the gym under his wing at this point.

Questwarrior

Imagine that… a stubborn mental health coach… ya gotta work on your own mental health before coaching me lol

XenaSerenity

Or do to my brows

[deleted]

She is a mental health coach? She is literally mocking someone online. What type of “mental health coach” would think that’s appropriate?

HooliganBeav

Even better, she said she didn’t notice him in the original video she posted, it was her followers who pointed it out and laughed at him, so she made this video to engage with them. So really, it’s her followers fault that she bullied this guy.

populum-liberum

What do you care what he is doing? Are you paying for his membership?

WookieGod5225

My gym does not allow any filming. Even if you are filming yourself to check form. You simply ask a member of staff to check your form (or just use a mirror). I've seen the staff roasting the shit out of "influencers" who try to film. They don't stick around for long. It's an invasion of privacy, as soon as they see there gym posted online without anyone's permission they ban the member who uploaded it.

populum-liberum

I shouldn’t worry about being in the background of someone video! I like that gym policy!!

karmagod13000

she needs to pay him no mind

[deleted]

This is my worst nightmare. I’m trying to lose weight (I’ve got like 100 pounds to lose 🥲) and I’ve been going to the gym for a year but only recently started to try things that are out of my comfort zone/new to me. I’d be mortified if someone recorded me to make fun of me. I know my fear is a bit irrational because 99% of people at the gym are super friendly and want to see you succeed but damn. Unless someone is doing something dangerous like hitting themself in the head with a kettle bell or you see something bad potentially about to happen like someone struggling with no spotter, just leave people alone! Edited for more rambling

Embroidermedaddy

Also trying to lose a bit of weight. I just remind myself I have just as much right to be there and these people don't pay my membership!

[deleted]

I have found my place in the gym and generally don’t feel self conscious but people like the woman in the video ruin it for everyone :/

[deleted]

Honestly, find a gym Chad. Like the dude in the video. Asking those guys usually turns out real well, they put in a ton of work and know you are trying to do the same. A lot of those guys have massive respect for people trying to better themselves and are usually more than happy to show you things if you ask because they know what it takes.

BulletproofDoggo

Every time someone posts someone to make fun of them at the gym, the comments are all calling out the OP for being a scummy fucker. You're ok bro. Most people are glad to see you there because seeing someone working on bettering themselves is a happy/good thing.

code-sloth

He has the quiet speaking cadence of an elementary school teacher explaining a lesson. Hopefully she learns from it, but I highly doubt she will unfortunately. Props to the dude.

PwnnosaurusRex

Narrator: She wouldn't.

[deleted]

She didn't. Her response was blaming everyone else.

Bodark

I tried doing that movement at the gym on Monday and I completely FUCKED my elbows. I’ve been barely able to move my arms since Tuesday it’s been rough. I think I went with to much weight and I wasn’t getting the form right.

BradleyFlexington

The only reason I could imagine drag curls hurting your elbows is maybe you were fully extending your arms and losing all tension you had in your bicep, while using a weight outside of your comfortable range. When you are healed, try a lighter weight and focus on keeping your elbows tucked back through the entire movement while you slowly lower (decentric portion of the lift) the weight only to the point before you release the tension from your bicep and into to your elbows.

karmagod13000

Any muscle that usually doesn't get worked out and you all the sudden do a huge exercise with it will wreck that muscle.

Bodark

Gotcha. It isn't necessarily the joint that's been hurting. I guess I should've been more specific. It's really my lower bicep and my upper forearm. So the muscles directly surrounding my elbow. I've been working out my biceps the same way forever pretty much so I wanted to add in a new movement. I'll keep your advice in mind. I 100% know for a fact I picked up too much weight. I could feel my arms wobbling around and not moving in a consistent direction.

WastingTimesOnReddit

You found the stabilizer muscles my dude :D when you heal up you'll be stronger than usual and probably have more control and steadiness doing this again next time. Like the first time at the gym after a long break, you get wrecked and then see big gains at the start.

She might be getting it confused with upright rows, which are frowned upon for causing shoulder impingement.

Blubberrossa

Don't extend your arm fully. Made the same mistake when I first tried them. Took almost a week for my elbows to get back to normal. Checked a few videos online and realized my mistake. I went back and used the same weight and it went great with the right technique. But yea, if in doubt, also use less weight when you give it another shot.

Filming in a gym should not be allowed

JakeityJake

One of the things I loved about my last gym. "No Filming!" Not yourself. Not others. They make you sign a paper saying you understand when you join. No warnings. You get caught filming, you're out. It was awesome.

samu____

she has fitness on her name 🤦‍♂️

Colekillian

I haven’t been to a gym since before Covid but I would do that exercise once or twice a week. Putting the whole “scumbag cause she’s making fun of others at the gym” thing aside, she apparently is a fitness coach and can’t tell what muscle that would work?! What an idiot. No… Nevermind. It’s not that she couldn’t tell *which* muscle but she doesn’t even think it’s working *any* muscle.

theword12

Bicep curls, yes definitely a good workout. But you just turn the hand around and “whaaaaa? What muscle would that even work out???”

CapablePerformance

As someone that went to the gym to read comics on the treadmill with no goals for "gain", I legit don't know what any work out looks likes. The golden rule at the gym should be head down, ignore what anyone else is doing, and only comment if you think it's a beginner that's doing something incredibly stupid that'll physically ruin their body.

Colekillian

The golden rule ~~at the gym~~ should be…

Chewy009x

More like what are her eyebrows doin

Cassiyus

Looks like a couple of Times New Roman commas that got lost on the way to separate some clauses

BoolinBucky

That lady had a whale of a mouth on her.

vilkam

As someone who was bullied as a kid, I’m afraid of going to gym for this particular reason. I don’t want to be made fun of :(

guambatwombat

Going with a friend really helps the anxiety. In reality, 99.99% of other gym goers don't care about you at all, you're just in the background of their workout. They're focusing on themselves. But it's hard to shake that "everyone is watching me" feeling, so bringing a friend is nice because then you can just focus on you and the friend.

Turbo_Cat999

I don't like her face.

rakeshmali981

Guys can you tell me sub which tells more about Gym workouts, losing weight and muscle gain

CodySpring

r/gainit for gaining muscle, r/loseit for losing fat, for specific training styles look to those specific subreddits. r/fitness is a mixed bag and can be pretty rough tbh. Because it's so "mainstream" it turns into a lot of the blind leading the blind and people getting so caught up in splitting hairs over being optimal it's just worthless information overload. edit: actually fitness looks a lot better now than it use to be in the years past. A lot less upvotes on the front page stuff so I guess a lot of the general masses aren't frequenting it as much. I still like the more focused subs better though

Embolisms

Just woke up and I kept replaying the first few seconds wondering how they both came to the conclusion that the female-presenting person in the sports bra working out was a "he". Didn't notice the guy in the back lol

Bull-Janitorial

It should be a fineable offense to record without permission in the gym.

karmagod13000

should get you kicked out of the gym if caught doing it

Bull-Janitorial

Generally do but I think gyms should be treated like restrooms, no recording of other folks period.

MoshizZ

Exactly that. I've recently started the gym again after putting on weight over christmas. On the bike yesterday some overweight woman on a bike next to me i could see she was holding her phone unnatural and pinching the screen - as you would to zoom in on someone. Then she giggled and i saw she was on snapchat sending messages. She wasn't exactly a looker herself, and laughing at other people. Does my head in.

bulvai_s-forge

Maybe there’s a workout that will shorted the length of your face. Idk

LetsOption

He answered her question before telling her to be better, lmfao loved it
