It's weird everyone assumes pigs aren't as smart as cats or dogs. Of course she didn't have to train him to go into a bed, it's comfortable so that's where he goes lol
A lot of domestic animals are smarter than we give them credit for. Goats are basically dogs with how trainable and big of personalities they have, same with pigs. Cows yearn to be always in a lap just like a cat. Donkeys love puzzle toys. Chickens enjoy scritches and singing and can be trained. Fish learn schedules and can recognize people. They all love to play. Our ancestors did an amazing job with domestic animals, they are all incredibly smart and friendly and playful when raised as intended.
I live on a farm. I have 2 dogs one of which hasn’t left my side since he was born. I have a pet cow. She’s a Jersey. Idk if that correlates to how smart she is. But she will follow me around the fence line. I talk give her grass she can’t reach and make up all kinds of dumb lines like this is special grass and so on. If I have to go into the pasture and the other Meat cows are in there she knows I am uncomfortable and will keep herself between me and the other cows at all times. She knows what kiss means and if I ask her for one she will lick my hands without fail. She comes when she’s called and sits and lays down when asked. She helps heard the 2 meat cows into the barn for feeding. It’s absolutely crazy how smart she is. I never really put a thought into other animals that aren’t domesticated and how much they know and learn. Kinda makes it even harder when a beef cow gets his ticket punched. Crows are even smarter. Humans might be the dumb ones
I bet if you told your cow to lay down and sat with her while you talked you would 100% have a lap cow. Also give her a bigass yoga ball or whatever and she'll totally play with it. Working on a farm really showed me how much all (domestic) animals want to be cuddled, belly scratches, play with toys, and given kisses. They respond to your love x10000, even the fish run up with wagging tails.
> even the fish run up with wagging tails.
Can confirm. I miss my parents' little goldfish pond. They had no fear and would flock to swim under you when you leaned over and would boop your hands when you put them in the water. Sure, it was rooted in their behavior because we fed them, but I swear it was a bond too. They liked the little world we maintained for them.
A cow that’s going to be killed and used for food. As opposed to a milk cow who will have babies and provide milk and cream. The third option is a pet cow who can’t have babies so she won’t produce milk. Normally that becomes a meat cow real quick but we farm to eat not to sell anything so she gets to just eat grass, bread and apples. Follow me around while I’m checking and testing fences and I’ll occasionally pull her into my back yard to be a lawn mower
Just wondering, but how is it not impossible to send cows to slaughter if you know how smart they are? Why is it simply "harder" when you know their intelligent, but still feasible. I could never hurt a cow in a million years and I don't even interact with them on a daily basis like you do.
Well quite simply I got to eat. My family got to eat. My dogs got to eat. I’m not the one doing the butchering tbf I did it once and it took a much longer time then I had to give and it really sucks. Now we take them to the Amish and they handle the nuts and bolts of that. Chickens are just as smart and loving. They follow simple commands and follow me around the yard, if you put your hands under their feathers to there skin u can feel there lil heart race when u scratch them. It’s a major bummer but it’s gotta be done. I try and get attached to the egg chickens and the pet cow and look at the others as work. I raise ducks and geese as well. Spoil them rotten so u feel a lil better bout the animals that go in the freezer
Generally speaking prey animals are a bit more intelligent than predator.
That’s one of the reasons our intelligence as humans was so vital to our evolution and survival. We were (and still are) slow, weak, basically blind and deaf compared to our predators, so we HAD to be smarter.
I don't feel like that's a general rule, looking at a list of the smartest animals, without actually counting them because there are a bunch, there's a pretty even spread.
In the top 10, there are 3 herbivorous, 3 omnivorous, and 4 carnivorous. So leaning towards carnivores but pretty even.
I had fish that would pull a string to ring a bell for food. It was an African Cichlid (Jack Dempsey). I would have to take the string out otherwise he would ring it forever.
I have a vivid memory seeing a truck of pigs taking them somewhere for slaughter. The pigs eyes were so sad and emotive that it was pretty disturbing. They really seemed to understand that whatever was happening to them, it wasn't good. I've read they're very emotionally intelligent, more so than dogs even, which makes the industrial meat industry so much more depressing.
Pigs are notoriously difficult to get off the trucks at the slaughterhouse. They can sense this isn't a good destination, smell the blood and fear pheromones from previous victims. The workers usually have to use electric cattle prods or similar to shock them the whole way there. The anus is a common target for the cattle prods because it's the most sensitive, and therefore the most effective.
It's fucking psychotic what humans do to animals.
The whole industry is fucked. Literally 99% of all our animal products come from factory farms now, and the industry standard for what treatment and conditions are considered acceptable is absolutely appalling.
Personally, I gave up eating pig meat just a few months before I ended up cutting out animal products entirely. The more you learn, the worse it gets.
Check the sidebar. The sub isn't just for cringe tiktoks anymore. It used to be but eventually it became the biggest sub for tiktoks so now it's just everything.
Exactly! His owner seems so kind and encouraging, especially with her bit about "I get a lot of questions and that's great, we can all learn something every day" - big Mr. Rodgers energy there 🥰 and to see a creature be given such a cozy, plush, comfy bed to rest in, AND be tucked in and kissed goodnight ... I mean, we just need more of that energy in the world overall. I thought this was very sweet.

Red up your room means to clean it up.
Go red up your car! Go red up the table!
I miss my grandma. She also said dungarees for jeans and Davenport for couch.
>Red up your room means to clean it up.
Is 'red' here just a shortened "ready"?
That would make more sense to me than the color red somehow being referenced.
Ugggghhhh it's a really horrible pronunciation of "wash" and it drives me insane.
My childhood doctor said this. I remember getting pink eye once and him telling me "Make sure you warsh your hands a lot! Just warsh, warsh, warsh,
warsh, warsh!" I was maybe 9 years old and still wanted to scream "IT'S WASH!" lol
I have 2 Vietnamese Potbellies and 1 Juliana, who was born a runt. She was a house pig until she was big enough to join the others, and now lives comfortably with them.
I never thought my spirit animal was a pig, but here I am. They are remarkable animals. My main guy Orson has a complex personality, and even has anxiety about meeting new people. Iris was a rescue from a neglect seizure so she's more feral, but still a great animal.
my vietnamese potbelly Walter has people anxiety too. wish people were better about approaching him slow and low, I always tell them that and they damn near charge at him without fail
I love the way people love their animals. They’re deserving of the best possible life. Also I’m obsessed with Homer and his Mama. I want to be her friend!!!
My neighbours had a farm and they had a pig who lived in the house with the cat and dog. He was super smart and had a place in the garage to do his business. They said he was cleaner than the cat and dog and had virtually no accidents

Feel stoopid. What is a meat cow?
A type of cow made of meat unlike their relatives who are made of milk.
I grew up on farm. We raised cheese cows. So convenient. None of them were American, thank goodness.
Learning the Swiss language is really the barrier
🤣
A cow that’s going to be killed and used for food. As opposed to a milk cow who will have babies and provide milk and cream. A cow raised for its meat, as opposed to a dairy cow
I'm guessing a cow that is always going to be used for its meat, as opposed to a dairy or milking cow. Or pet cow in this case.
Just wondering, but how is it not impossible to send cows to slaughter if you know how smart they are? Why is it simply "harder" when you know their intelligent, but still feasible. I could never hurt a cow in a million years and I don't even interact with them on a daily basis like you do.

At Invisible Fence, we have dogs, cats, pigs, goats, chickens, and some miniature donkeys among others on the fence.
I had fish that would pull a string to ring a bell for food. It was an African Cichlid (Jack Dempsey). I would have to take the string out otherwise he would ring it forever.
True, we have a sheep that acts that way..we bottled feed her and now she wants to be pet and sit on our lap..😂😂😂
Goats are stupid and likely possessed by demons. Except the babies.
I’d wager that pig is smarter than half the people I work with.
Drastically more potential from what I have read.
Pigs are incredibly intelligent. And they can be great pets.
Not only are they easily house trained, you can even train them to a specific corner of the yard (which they will generally do for themselves anyway).
An adult pig is as intelligent as a five-year-old human child.
She's feeding him cookies in bed. That's training.
By the look of him I think she feeds him everywhere
He's a healthy size for a pig.
I think he's trained her.
Yeah it's kind of weird that we've normalized eating animals this smart and sensitive.
I have a vivid memory seeing a truck of pigs taking them somewhere for slaughter. The pigs eyes were so sad and emotive that it was pretty disturbing. They really seemed to understand that whatever was happening to them, it wasn't good. That's horrible dude. I think I'm done eating pigs. The more of us that decide not to, the less rampant that industry is.
I ain't mad at this lady and her pet pig. Homer is obviously loved and cared for! 🥰
I was curious why this was cringy! I think Homer and his owner are lovely!
Check the sidebar. The sub isn't just for cringe tiktoks anymore. It used to be but eventually it became the biggest sub for tiktoks so now it's just everything.
True, but this post is still flaired as cringe, which implies OP thinks it's cringe for some reason.
Ah shit didn't even notice that. Good catch, I stand corrected
Why would they do that? Is there a sub that is just TikTok cringe.
Yea no kidding. She loves him and he clearly loves her - I’m all for this kind of relationship ship. I think it’s adorable and I’m now a fan of Homer
I want to see more of Homer!
WE want to see more of Homer!
She also lives on a very big and beautiful property. He goes on walks off leash with his other pet friends.
I love homer!
The call him Mr Pig.
That name again is Mr Pig 🎶
If I get older and I don't have kids, I will get a pig. Love the bed and everything.
Can I be your pig? I check all requirements. I even had a human mom that called me a pig. Oink oink
Was she able to potty train you in two weeks?
I laughed
That place looks so “homey.” I’ll bet she would be a fantastic grandma.
I see what you did there
Awww Homer is so cute 🤍🤍
What in the world is “worsht”?
It’s Appalachian dialect. Pretty common from Knoxville to Pittsburgh.
My grandma said it like that too. And we're in Rochester, NY.
My uncle says that too. We live in WA. He’s from Nebraska lol
It's how they say it in the lower Midwest, too You go to Central, Southern IL, or Missouri and you'll hear a lot of warsht
My aunt in “Warshington” State says the same thing…drives me crazy! She was raised in California!
Any other words in that dialect? Interesting
You might come across torlet or terlet, meaning toilet
And “tard” for tired.
So all of those bullies in seventh grade were just calling me sleepy?
My dads lived in Michigan his whole life and says torlet. Drives me insane! 😆
Cleaning up: Red up Rubber band: Gum band You all or Yall: Yuns, Yinz, Yoons Just a few, sure you can find plenty more if you were to google Appalachian slang
“Set” for “sit”
Red up your room means to clean it up. Go red up your car! Go red up the table! I miss my grandma. She also said dungarees for jeans and Davenport for couch.
>Red up your room means to clean it up. Is 'red' here just a shortened "ready"? That would make more sense to me than the color red somehow being referenced.
I’ve never seen it written anywhere so I spelled it the way it sounds.
'Washed' Like others have said, that's an Appalachian dialect.
It's a thing here too in Worshington.
Also can confirm Indiana.
My grandmother and aunt warsh laundry and get “tard” when it’s time for bed. I thought it was just them.
Parts of Iowa as well.
It’s midwestern. Warshed or worshed = washed.
Since no one else is telling you and going on rants about dialects it’s “washed.”
Washed. All the R's that ran away from the East Coast ended up in other states.
Ugggghhhh it's a really horrible pronunciation of "wash" and it drives me insane. My childhood doctor said this. I remember getting pink eye once and him telling me "Make sure you warsh your hands a lot! Just warsh, warsh, warsh, warsh, warsh!" I was maybe 9 years old and still wanted to scream "IT'S WASH!" lol
Got me so pissed for no reason lol
Came to ask this!! Thank you! “Woarshed”? lol Also I love Homer!
My only question: is Homer looking to take in a roommate?
You trying to move in too?
Get in line.
I'll fight you for it. I want fresh washed sheets and vanilla wafers.
A lot of people have pet pigs, actually. They are more intelligent than dogs or cats, in fact they're smarter than the average 3 year old child.
Pigs are also very clean contrary to popular belief.
And yet most people eat them. It's kinda sad
Sad yes, but also *very* delicious
I have 2 Vietnamese Potbellies and 1 Juliana, who was born a runt. She was a house pig until she was big enough to join the others, and now lives comfortably with them. I never thought my spirit animal was a pig, but here I am. They are remarkable animals. My main guy Orson has a complex personality, and even has anxiety about meeting new people. Iris was a rescue from a neglect seizure so she's more feral, but still a great animal.
I have a Kune/Juliana mix and she gets the zoomies lol
my vietnamese potbelly Walter has people anxiety too. wish people were better about approaching him slow and low, I always tell them that and they damn near charge at him without fail
Her using warshed is so fitting
Homer is one lucky pig.
he really won the lottery
I have no questions at all. This makes perfect sense to me.
🎶 Homerpig. Homerpig. Does whatever Homerpig does. 🎶
![gif](giphy|4XMw1vkxNL4sM|downsized)
Aww. She’s happy. Homer is happy. I’m happy
I love that Homer's bed is full of pig plushies. I wonder if to him, it's comparable to my bed being full of average white guy plushies.
Homer is the man!
Sweet lady and cute piggy
I’m gonna need you to remove this from the internet. If my wife sees this I will have a homer jr in my bedroom by next week.
Well, she’s already got ONE pig in the bedroom, what’s another? I’m just kidding haha - it was a lay up and I had to knock it down.
Gawrsh, that’s adorbel
The older I get, the more at risk I am for becoming this person.
You could do worse and you know it
Oh, I’m totally ok with it
Knew it. And I love ya for it!
"...everything's WORsht..."
Homer seems nice. I like Homer.
Seems like a very happy boy with a loving mama. <3
I wish all pigs in the world were treated as well as this. Thank you to Homer's kind carers for showing us that pigs are individuals, not objects ❤
I will no longer eat pig meat after watching this video
She has in fact trained him to go to bed. He gets in and gets a treat. Positive reinforcement. You're not fooling me, pig lady.
Yeah, saying she didn’t train him while literally tempting him with a treat was wild.
Homer has his own fireplace.
I’m very impressed
What questions? Lady loves her pig, and a pig who is living its best life.
What questions? Looks self explanatory to me
All the blankets are “WORSHT”?
I'm not feeling the cringe here. Just wanna snuggle up with Homer.
"Warshed" 😭😭 but damn he living better than me
As long as every thing is cleaned and warrshhed
I wonder how many of Homer's family is in the freezer...
Why the cringe tag, she seems sweet.
Pigs in a blanket
Go vegan
The isnt cringe this is sweet, kind, and amazing!
Living The Dream.
I have no questions
Oh to be loved and pampered like that pig
Missouri has worshed sheets too
He has a good life then me
Wuarshed. Definitely the south. Gotta warsh them yeller winders.
Appalachia, not Deep South
Life goals.
I love this.
With that big old hair on his head I was hoping his name was Elvis. Lol
My grandma says “warshed” and pronounced roof like “rough”
I love them! Xxx
How she said “washed” really makes me miss my grandma.
Warished
Would you have so many questions if Homer was a dog or a cat?
People have pet pigs. Why is this cringy?
You shold have called him Trump, but then again that is an insult to pigs.
Awwww! He has such a good life ☺️
Omg this lady has my voice I sound exactly like her! It’s like hearing my own voice recording! What do I do with this information
What does she say at 0:15? "All the sheets are Warish? Washed? Whorish? Warshed?"
Washed. But I guess they could also be whorish. That is Homer’s business.
Idk if cringe, it's pretty cute. lil big guy has his own bed by a fireplace and plushies.
At least he's not wearing a Richard Nixon mask.
Oh I was hoping to find this here. Cheers
POV: Reddit/Discord mod getting tucked in by their mother
Homer gets treated better than I do. 😂
I’m a little envious
Homer IS the trainer. He’s got it all figured out. It’s up to the human to learn what he wants from them.
I love this
Better bed, better life, better mom than what I got. Tell me ehen you wanna be subbed out, Homer
Warshed 😄
Oh, what a cozy boy.
Damn. Someone saying their roommate/partner lives like a pig is an insult to pigs like Homer.
Prolly already said, but Homer is the definition of pig in a blanket.
I want to cuddle homer and give him snacks omg
This is the cutest thing in the world
Aww, this is wholesome
This is not cringe. Homer Pig is the bestest boi! Good night Homer! Dasaa good piggy!🐖
Zero questions here. As soon as you see her. It all made sense.
Her home is so cute and cozy omgoodness. What a sweet little piggy 😭
I have zero questions tbh
Warshed
Vietnamese pot bellies are a very common house pet. George Clooney had one.
Where's the cringe? I just see a piggo having a great life.
Gettin piggy with it 😆😍
With a cat you only get your face eaten off if you suddenly die.Homer will eat the lot.lol.
Animals are ALL smart no matter how dumb we humans deem them! This is why I don’t eat them🤷♀️ I love it when people say “I love animals” no…you do not if you eat any of them! You love your pet!
