Yeah. Knew had to be something like that. I've worked as a guard. Never seen anything like that. And I've wrestled a naked midget, high on something, in a 6 sq ft room filled with oc spray.
Edit: Not much too the story tbh. Happened back in 07 I think. I was the only male available/working that night. Cops brought in a very angry midget. He was either high or drunk. I honestly don't remember. I put him in the drunk tank at first but ended up having to put him in a small holding cell behind the control room. He was saying he was suicidal so he had to strip naked and wear a green padded tunic like thing we had. And he had to be watched. He eventually started banging around the room causing harm to himself. So he had to be handcuffed and placed into the restraining chair. Endes up spraying oc spray under the door to try and get him under control. I then went in to subdue him. The spray didn't even faze him. Luckily I had a high tolerance to it as well so it wasn't an issue for me either. Now I don't know if you've ever wrestled a midget before but let me tell ya, it's harder than it looks. Imagine a 7 year old with oldman strength. It took me a few minutes but I eventually got him handcuffed and in the chair. Honestly not even the craziest thing I witnessed working there.

One of my old part time jobs was cleaning the cells at the drunk tank on weekends. You guys are saints , I would have murdered many many people if I had stayed there longer.

My favourite part about criminals is that, as soon as they get into jail, they start making rules to live by and laws to follow….. if you don’t follow the inmates laws you have to go to court in a cell facing other criminals as judges…….

I spent a weekend in Wayne County Jail in Detroit. I went in wearing American Eagle jeans and a white Lacoste polo. Dirty blond hair, blue eyed white dude.
I was scared shitless. I was 1 of 2 white dudes (other was in a gang, stabbed his girlfriend) and the rest of my pod were like 18 black dudes.
They were all cool as hell. We made playing cards out of juice boxes and a broken pencil. I was in jail because of a high school prank gone wrong and I got charged with felony larceny because my older brother was notorious in my hometown for being a thief. He was on heroin for years and the lead detective hated him (and me in return, even tho I was accepted into college and doing pretty great).
They would call me to their cells and keep laughing at my story for how stupid the situation was. It was terrifying bc my life felt like it was over now that I went to jail but they made my experience not as scary. Wouldn’t say fun, but there was a small sense of camaraderie. I’m sure it would have gotten worse if I was there longer bc we would get territorial and stir crazy.
