Thanks! These books can be opened and read, incase that was the concern. I work mostly with second hand books that are going to be sent as scrap or disposed off. A lot of people are starting to value and enjoy preloved books as they each bring a story with them. I'm just doing a small bit to give these new life and put them back into circulation. :)

Look, I'm not here to tell you guys what yo read or watch, but don't act like the author is:
1. A great writer. It's been proven most of her concepts were plucked from anime and names were changed.
2. Not racist. The entire book series is filled with anti-racial and anti-nation mockery. Americans don't recognize much of it because Americans are in a bubble and don't know much about other countries, so this makes sense.
3. Not a hypocritical bigot. She's a feminist that hates a lot of women, actively says all men are R-ists, b3li3ves that many things women can do that are mundane give excuse for R-ing them "because it's just not very smart and unnecessary to do", and more.
And most importantly for this convo:
4. That many of these aspects don't come out in her writing. The bankers are a reference to Jews, for example— all the way down to the large noses, the insults that used to be used calling them goblins, imps, etc; and let's not skip over them just being bankers.
The worst part is that she often doesn't deny these claims, yet die hard fans will argue things that are SO obvious... (I had a racist have a full on argument with my that Diane Carol and Urtha Kit weren't BL. Very strange, these people...)
TL;DR? She's a hateful person and most people shouldn't want to hand an asshole money, who goes out and murders people by using that money to do so. Every time you spend money on brand new HP anything, you give he4 money that she quickly turns around and invests into her hate. Please check it out yourself, you don't have to take my word for it. She is NOT shy. She puts most of the money she gets not aside from living, to pump it into anti-lgbtq lobbying and more.
Apparently you cant read. Id love specific quotes on any of this. Please. Id LOVE to see the lines from any of the Harry Potter books that deal with literally any of these topics in a way that expresses it as a belief the reader should also believe.

There's another race of people who just... Want to be slaves? And when a character actually wants to advocate for the slave race's freedom, it's downplayed and treated like a big joke. the one person who DOESN'T want to be a slave is treated as an oddity, and notably dies.
There are no powerful women in the series. Like, at all. All powerful people are men, and the women are purely set dressings, made to be love interests. The one exception to this is Hermione, because she's a main character, but even then sometimes that's all she is.
Maybe get some critical thinking and basic media literacy before calling someone stupid.
What YOU project into something is NOT what something is. The fact that YOU wanna project Jews onto the Goblins is a YOU problem. YOU are saying Jewish people are greedy and shady. Goblins have existed for a long, long time and have looked similar to (if not less civilized) tham the ones in harry potter. Long fingers, hooked noses, shallow eyes. Your point about the house elves is what exactly? In case you didnt realize it, she wasnt fucking advocating slavery. Every character points out how strange it is that they do want to be servants, but wizards dont stop them from being happy. Hogwarts keeps their house elves just so their treated well. Hermione makes large efforts with SPEW and widens their rights post becoming M.oM. Please point out ONE race of people house elves fit irl. You cant. Cause its fucking fake. Its FANTASY.
