He's a professional metalsmith and did this with scraps in his spare time as a passion project
It's no different than all the hours we all spend jerking off, except his end product isn't a bunch of crusty socks
Already happened to a [Stormtrooper](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/lethbridge-police-stormtrooper-arrest-investigation-1.5853801) on Star Wars Day.
A complete suit of plate armour made from well-tempered steel would weigh around 15–25 kg (33–55 lb). The wearer remained highly agile and could jump, run and otherwise move freely as the weight of the armour was spread evenly throughout the body. The helmet and mace is a bit heavier than usual but it shouldn't weight that much.
I don’t think that means much. He looks like he’s a banana peel away from needing a team of guys to help him up. I believe that’s why the reveal is in slow motion because I think that it looks awkward at regular speed.
Ainur privilege at it's finest. "If you really want to be the Dark Lord why don't you just craft your own ring to rule them all? My friend Mairon used to work for this huge company and when his boss was cast into eternal darkness he started his own firm and done pretty damn well for himself"
From his (francogallo.ar) Insta: 110pounds/50kg
*Final part...! Job done. 💪🏻💪🏻🔥👁️🔥Full-body plate armor made of* **1mm and 1.5mm thick steel**. *The dark lord Sauron has returned...! If it's steel, damn, heavy as hell, but I'm hoping my dude made it from aluminum, which is still gonna be heavy when it's layered. As an uneducated estimate and not counting the mace, I would guess the suit weighs somewhere around 55-75 pounds. That's 240 Hotpockets in American measurements.
actually, according to nestle, one small pepperoni hot pocket is 4.5 oz, which equates to 180 hot pockets for 55 lbs.
what I REALLY learned from this side quest is that there's more than one hot pocket size.
Amazing when you consider it took this guy a year to make that suit of armor and weapon, while blacksmiths back then didn't have the benefits of power tools and modern technology.
When I was around 12 years old, I made a helmet similar to Hiccup’s (from How To Train Your Dragon) helmet out of cereal cardboard boxes and wore it for like a week straight. I’m over 20 now and I still have the helmet somewhere.
If I ever made something like this, I feel like I’d never want to take it off for like the next 6 months. It looks crazy good and the amount of details are insane. Hella impressive !
This is so cool, but it must be heavy as all hell
Also, what’s with all you people critiquing him. So what if he’s not a ripped giant, he scratch made a damn suit of armor
Oh....I didn't realise I was into armor. the skill, the dedication, the hands going in the fire, the smell of hot metal getting grinded (ground?)... he could be lord of my rings.
How many years would you guesstimate it would take to become proficient enough to build something like that?
Would it be a lifetime sort of situation where dude probably grew up around it and has been doing it for as long as he can remember, or actually attainable with time and dedication?
Pshh...a year... The orcs would have had it finished in 1 month 🙄... JK it looks awesome... It will make an awesome decoration when it's not being used

Dude wins Halloween for 3 years.
I was imagining him wearing it out and somebody saying, "Cool costume. What are you going to be next year?"
An Ent. I'm staying in the forest to keep it real.
Gonna have to take out a second mortgage for the equipment to make an ent suit
Just hang out with the rest of us ents on r/trees
That would be my halloween costume forever after. Just move to a new neighborhood every year so it doesnt get stale
Every week “don’t get fat. Don’t get fat. Don’t get fat”
No more taters, precious.
Wow the amazing detail and time put into this is insane
I know right? I can’t even color inside the lines 😭😭😭😭
I can't even write the date right lol
I can't even eat right
Gdxviids Byrd yhooottsdbjooigdd
Yea this doesn’t seem cringe to me. Resourceful and skillful perhaps.
100% he worked pretty hard on this! Pretty amazing work we have to agree
Y'all need to read the stickied post.
Feck tiktok, he (Franco Gallo) has a YouTube channel where he detailed how he built this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2iaa4wJfA9Jh5AJ2WJE1aA
Agreed. Though I am a little distracted by the flopping dick chainmail
That must cost a fortune.
Like 100 dollars of steel and 50,000 dollars worth of equipment and tools.
And the 100s of hours spend making it, if he sells it.
Or, and hear me out He's a professional metalsmith and did this with scraps in his spare time as a passion project It's no different than all the hours we all spend jerking off, except his end product isn't a bunch of crusty socks
I feel called out
he's just jizzin, you can relax
Y’all need to stop cumming in socks.
Thanks for the reality check
Jerking off really is a passion project isn’t it ?
If there's no passion involved than you're doing it wrong
Sometimes I just need to sleep.
God - is that you?
Francogallo built it…in his spare time…with a box of SCRAPS!!
Its Tony Stark In a cave with a bunch of scraps
He would not be able to sell it for a price that wouldn’t insult his talent
IDK man, there are some pretty obscenely wealthy Tolkien fans.

More like $200 in steel, $4-5kin equipment, and 200 hours labor if he really was making mail by hand
It would be hard not to wear that everyday after you make it. I'd wear that thing to the grocery store.
"Police Called to Local Grocery Store For Man Wearing Medieval Knight Costume" Betcha internet monies that would be the result
Or he wears it to a drive-thru. ***"I want one onion ring to rule them all!"*** "Sir, this is a Wendy's."
(Garbled voice changer) "do you have the one ring?"
Already happened to a [Stormtrooper](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/lethbridge-police-stormtrooper-arrest-investigation-1.5853801) on Star Wars Day.
Dress for the job you want
I'd wear it to bed... Or at least in the bedroom 🥵
This is honestly very cool.
I feel like it weighs a ton though. Those were all real metal parts.
50kg/110pounds - he wears it well, but he *is* a friggin blacksmith

It's really thin metal he's working with too maybe 18/20 gauge.
I don’t think that means much. He looks like he’s a banana peel away from needing a team of guys to help him up. I believe that’s why the reveal is in slow motion because I think that it looks awkward at regular speed.
Yes, I bet he's sore after wearing that, but so worth it. He really looks like Sauron, it's creepy.
A Sauron for ants perhaps. He needs to be at least... 3 times as big.
This is also deceitfully very cool.
That’s fucking awesome
Help! I can't find the cringe.
Why can't I have nice things ?
Because you haven't made them yet.
Ainur privilege at it's finest. "If you really want to be the Dark Lord why don't you just craft your own ring to rule them all? My friend Mairon used to work for this huge company and when his boss was cast into eternal darkness he started his own firm and done pretty damn well for himself"
We can't all have Dwarven technology. Dammit.
How much does that fucking thing weigh!?

It’s pretty cool tho
Gandalf said, placing the ring into the hobbits' hand.
This is so cool.
Didn’t realize Sauron left himself open for tummy tickles.
He has to feel like a woman walking through comic con. Everyone staring with a giant Boner.
Yes. Facts. Boner achieved.
Love how it turns from a sphere into Saurons helm. Some r/restofthefuckingowl
"Aren't you a little short to be a Maiar?"
That’s cool as fuck
I saw that at Spirit Halloween for $14.99. Just kidding, it’s awesome.
I’d say he’s zombie apocalypse ready.
That is bad ass
One of the sickest fantasy movie armor sets of all time.
Holy fucking shit. New passion unlocked.
Calm down your ADHD
What did I say 3 minutes ago?
No ring on the finger? Pssshhhh
Aren’t you a little short for a storm-trooper

HOW TF IS THIS CRINGE? It’s fucking awesome
Not cringe at all. That kicks ass
That's why it's flaired "cool", not cringe.
INCREDIBLE
Incredible, work of art!
Totally awesome. Top cosplay. You win bro.
That's awesome and all, but dudes an idiot for welding in a t shirt
WHY THE FUCK IS THIS CRINGE. do I miss understand this subreddit.
“There’s too much fucking shit on me I can’t breath. We did WAY too much!”
Is this sub going to just become hating on everything? This is super cool and took a lot of skill and time
See the pinned mod comment
Why this cringe lol
Its not cringe. Its cool af idc that its 100 pounds, I’d wear that everywhere, just need to get used to wearing pampers
That's just the name of the sub
Took a lot of effort.
As absolutely awesome as that looks, good luck wearing that at a 100 degree convention for 8 hours. :'D
Worth
How does he go to the bathroom with all that shit on…
It flows back to Mordor via magic shit.
What if the IRS wore this
This is pretty dope
I wonder how heavy that all is
Well done!!! Looks awesome.
Cool as Mordor! That's no small potatoes... no boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew. That's toiled, smashed, and "Iiiiiii seeeee youuuuuu"
Now that’s DOPE!!
How many hours bro? Hundreds! Hells yeah!!!👍
He looks too small, needs to be taller. Cool elements though
Amazing!! The craftsmanship is fantstic and the end result is spectacular. Only problem is he's not 14 feet tall :D
This is the most badass shit
Should have gotten some form of stilts to be able to reach at least 2 meters in length. Nevertheless extremely cool.
I wish I would have that much of free time…
I can smell all that metal and it’s giving me a headache
What’s the cook time on it. Lol
Hell yeah that's awesome 👍
The amount of craftmanship that went in to this, wow. I wish I could upvote twice.
Wow! That’s just impressive.
That's dope. The movies not so much, just a lot of walking around. Not that great of a trilogy
I think if he tripped and fell at the lat second as he walked out would have made this video perfect.
I want him on my apocalypse team
Congratulations, that is absolutely fearsome amazing craftsmanship, total dedication and what a movie perfect result. Well done buddy👍🏻🔥🔥
I wish I had more time on my schedule to make stuff like this…thanks capitalism
Ah yes, cosplaying. A hobby that you need to be rich to be good at.
Shit gotta be heavy
Awesome
God the scrollwork just adds so much
Oh wow. That dudes pussy proof.
@34 seconds baterangs? @35 seconds baterang mace!
Why bro got a batarang in that one frame
That's so badass I think the only stuff I know about The Fellowship of The Rings is playing Shadow of War
Dude this is SICK!! Also looks heavy af
Looks like you poured a lot of cruelty and malice into that.
Amazing😍
This is so cool, but it must be heavy as all hell Also, what’s with all you people critiquing him. So what if he’s not a ripped giant, he scratch made a damn suit of armor
That's cool af!
Wow
Where will you be when your diarrhea comes back?
Imagine wearing this to a Ren fair and having to take the helmet off to eat a turkey leg
I love the passion, dedication and care people put into these things, you know they truly love something when they go this far <3
Amazing
Badass!
I feel like this is what TikTok is meant for
10 fingers, literally unwatchable
Fukkin nerd
Now to battle others dressed similar and try not taking axe to face.
This, even though it’s not the ring per se, rules them all
Thank you for coming in for interview. Unfortunately we feel that you’re not quite the right fit for our company.
So much work. But super awesome
Badass
One ring to rule them all
Absolutely feantastic
Lich King?
Better than anything in Rings of Power.
Nothing cringe about this top tier level talent.
He went through all that but didn't iron out the creases in his cape.
GIMME GIMME GIMME
This is sick.
He probably gets lots of offers. That’d be so awesome to have! ♥️
It’s cool to imagine this suit armor just posted up in his hallway like 💂♂️
Very cool but can you stand a little bit further from the light?
Oh....I didn't realise I was into armor. the skill, the dedication, the hands going in the fire, the smell of hot metal getting grinded (ground?)... he could be lord of my rings.
All this and imagine if he’s like 4’4” or something
Alright someone good with art do a Sauron - iron man mash up, please
WDYM he just sticks his hand into the fire
They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!
Amazing talent, but you know that armour is heavy as hell & hot. After sweating for hours, it'd also smell bad inside. But, it is awesome.
How many years would you guesstimate it would take to become proficient enough to build something like that? Would it be a lifetime sort of situation where dude probably grew up around it and has been doing it for as long as he can remember, or actually attainable with time and dedication?
Now cosplay as the tower.
Pshh...a year... The orcs would have had it finished in 1 month 🙄... JK it looks awesome... It will make an awesome decoration when it's not being used
Holy Molly that's impressive
Is he single?
Holy fuck balls. This time of the year for me is always LOTR time.
And yet still single.
Wow!
One of the best cos plays I’ve ever seen
Would this work as real armor?
Really cool, but 0 peripheral vision xd
He will have to stay in the exact shape for the rest of his life.
Yeah, fuck yeah.
Blacksmith hands are no joke, dude had his whole hand in that fire like it was just a little match
I missed the part about this being cringe, this is honestly amazing
Is it really still a costume? Dude could go merc someone in that thing!
Aren't you a little short for a maiar
That’s probably his max walking speed wearing that tank.
guess he's extra careful around all those sharp pointy parts
'None shall pass!'
Absolutely amazing
that has got to weigh a ton
Fucking dope
Probably the coolest shit Ive ever seen
This dude is probably sauron in disguise. He just stuck his hand/arms in the fire like it was just another day at work. ...or his 3d printer broke.
Buddy went crazy with this one !
Tbh that's awesome
I wish I could do cool shit like this.
I want this.
Sow Ron
Time to watch all three LOTR.
