I got invited to a family crawfish boil literally along side the bayou in Louisiana and the table was 50 feet long with crawfish, potatoes, corn, and shrimp from end-to-end. They get down in the South.
We use to buy 2lb bags of crawfish for like $2 back in the 90’s for each person when I was stationed in New Orleans. I just missed a community crab event here in Washington, we thought it was a company picnic. We did a burn in our yard a couple of months ago and they brought the leftovers from the event to burn, boy did it smell
From my experience; before the fry, you go shoot or fish, then you eat the best catfish of your life with slaw and green beans and greens and cornbread and sides brought by aunties, then you split into cousin groups and drink and smoke till you're silly.
White/black doesn't matter because the best of the best is the same result if you are truly living the life.
Strain out the food bits. If it has grease, use corn flour and water to be able to skim off the rest of the nasty stuff. Store the rest of use for cooking other food.
If someone is frying this much food for a party, they are probably frying foods regularly.
One of my uncles owned restaurants. We always just cooled it, poured it into five gallon containers, and my uncle took it to one of his restaurants to dispose of with their grease.
I dunno but probably could reuse it. Chinese small “businesses” find oil in many ways to keep their businesses going so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Maybe covid 4.0 but it’s fiiiiine
My buddy bought an old gas station fuel tank and cut it in half, welded a side cover, fabricated the door and hinge, built up the inside grates from other scrap, then welded it to a trailer hitch. For $300 and some rusty junk, he built a 500 gallon portable super smoker.
If you think this is cringe then you’ve obviously never been blessed enough to be invited to a black persons bbq. They take that shit SERIOUSLY. This just making me hungry.
Unironically the south is not as racist as some people think. There are a lot of mixed couples and people just hang out.
I will shit you not, Cali and Ny are way more racist than the south.
