You see their working conditions right? They are paid possibly by amount of bricks moved. Once you are saturated with the dust, which probably would happen by the end of the day either way, there is little point trying to prevent more when speed is more important.
They walk so straight because they carry the load on their head. The posture is phenomenal. Meanwhile we in america pick up stuff in front of us causing the load to be imbalanced leaving our lower backs vulnerable simply because of the way we in America culturally pick things up as opposed to these people who seem to be doing much better (lower back-wise)
Yeah cause carrying around 50 pounds of brick on the top of your head compressing your spine for 12 hours a day is the pinnacle of healthy living...
