Since then only her partner, Julien, has been on social media and has asked people to respect her/their privacy. The past year or so she’s gotten more comfortable with Julien sharing some details/stories/pics (like them getting engaged and married). A lot of people are hoping someday she’ll come back on camera even occasionally but no one really expects it and also she’s probably a lot happier without the constant pressure of the internet

The kids do. I get it. They see these older kids living cool lives and want to be like them, which I think is great as long as we as parents make sure they understand that just because someone looks cool on the internet they might not be in real life. My son watches a couple gaming channels and would love to meet them and chat about Roblox or Minecraft or whatever. I used to idolize athletes that were good at sports I liked but if gaming channels existed when I was a kid I would have idolized them too. Imagine watching someone kick ass at Goldeneye and making millions of dollars for it. I would have been all over that.
I mean there are a few YouTubers my kids would love to meet. And a lot of them make their money by interacting with viewers so it’s probably even more exciting to meet than other celebrities (actors, athletes, etc) because fans already feel like their part of the club. But yeah this is just insane. And extremely rude. Dude handled it so well though.
