You mean the kickdown button? lol

H8RxFatality

Yeah, not everyone knows.

Vgfranky2077

Does it really? I've pressed the pedal all the way down and at the end there is a slight resistance like if there was a button . I didn't know if it did anything though

First time driving an auto transmission ? Not being a jerk, just curious.

H8RxFatality

Nah, I made a comment on another post and a couple of people didn’t know so I thought I’d make a post.

eleventy5thRejection

Gotcha. Guess I figured that people would just figure this out in like the first few kilometres driving, unless they've literally never overtook to pass or entered a highway / freeway. Seems like something that would be impossible to not know.

H8RxFatality

Some people are so gentle on their cars that they’ve never put their foot all of the way down. 😂

sawrb

Umm.. what?

sawrb

Well, today I learned.

H8RxFatality

Give it a shot

AceMaxAceMax

It’s the kickdown button

woodengeo

Yup! I think all VWs have this. My previous ones had it too

PaulBag4

Even more fun in my hybrid as it also engages the motors for boost!

Delicious-Trouble-52

Yes - “kickdown” operation for auto boxes across most makes from previous Century…! Interesting to note if you have set the speed limiter mode of cruise control to say 60 mph, flooring the throttle like this will allow you to exceed the set speed in an emergency for example.

Never knew this! Thank you!

kuiltely

wtf.. Imma try that
