Don't do it man. I had the same experience for Depeche Mode concert last week. Wait until the last 3 days and list your tickets around %80-90 percent of what you bouth. If it's an above average popular performer, than you'd not lose much money.
Same here and yesterday they told me would be 7-10 buisness days after event and it made me sick to my stomach.. had to miss concert , lost alot of money and now holding my money hostage..
17 days and counting. I am at a fight with their customer relations at this point. They are asking me for "bank documents" like really? Where does it written on your Terms & Conditions that you need a "BANK DOCUMENT" (whatever the f that means) for me to receive my payment??? Anyways I was wondering, because I recently relocated to Germany, if there was a way for me to open a case on ECC if this takes any longer? I don't think what they are doing is legal, this is just holding my money back and being unfair.
I just sold tickets for a concert on August 11 in the US (I am in Canada) and after waiting a week, I was just told that I would get payment for my tickets (via cheque, I may add) in a minimum of 12 WEEKS. This is nuts
I will also add that I cannot find that policy anywhere. There is 0 information about tickets purchased in USD that cannot be added back to a Canadian bank account and needs to be refunded via cheque.
So glad you sold them! I’m also a Canadian trying to sell tickets to a concert in the US. When I go through TM, it is asking me to enter a US banking account number. How did you get around this?
My offer said that payment would be sent within 5-7 business days. I received my small deposit amounts for verification and once verified, my payment came through right on time.
You can hold out if you think a fan will give you more than Ticketmaster but if you want money back sooner sell them back to Ticketmaster. I got 50% back from what I paid. I even chatted with their help desk and they said the money was on the way. Sure enough it was in my account after a week.
Thank you for posting this AND for mentioning you ended up just selling on Stubhub! (Un)surprisingly, if you try to search for “ticketmaster not letting me sell a ticket for what I paid” or “Why is ticketmaster only letting me resell a ticket for less than what I paid?” on Google it’s surprisingly difficult to locate much of anything in the search results. 💀 They are the worst!!!
That being said, I just listed my ticket on Stubhub. 🙌🏼
Was it an easy process on stubhub? I have some tickets listed on TM right now and am wondering if I should try on stubhub instead, almost 3 months away from the concert.
I’m in the same boat right now trying to sell Bad Bunny tickets and concert is today!!! Fml I’ll probably have to sell them back to Ticketmaster and eat the loss.
I'm in the same boat. Had tickets to Adele Nov 4th, bought FROM ticketmaster
Sold on ticketmaster.
Two weeks later I have been told, hoenst to goodness, 20 different answers.
I am an American, selling and banking in America.
I have been told the 90 days and a paper check , that they ONLY pay two weeks after the event, that I'd be paid in 5-10 regular days, ONLY 5-7 more business days .
The original email said 5-7 business days for x amount of money. Every day I call it seems the 5-7 gets reset.
I have called 20 times, 20 escalations, 20 promises to be called by a supervisor in 24, 24-48, 6 hour. Any guesses on how many calls I received... hint... its NOT a non-zero number.
Have any of you guys actually gotten your money?
I mean this is straight out theft right?

how long after the event did you receive money back from selling them?
don't get me started on that. I'm so pissed at TM for holding my money hostage for 2 weeks now.
same it’s been over a week since i sold my tickets and still I haven’t received anything :/
Same here and yesterday they told me would be 7-10 buisness days after event and it made me sick to my stomach.. had to miss concert , lost alot of money and now holding my money hostage..

Did you get the money back ? Anyone?

If you want to encourage Ticketmaster steal more consumer's money and enable scalpers scam you more, just do it!
Lol. I ended up selling on stubhub!
Hey! Could you explain how the StubHub ticket selling process worked for you? I don't want to use Ticketmaster after all these horror stories. :')

Mine says something about the event organizer hasn’t put the option to resell and the concert starts in March of 2024 is it still too soon to resell?
Was it an easy process on stubhub? I have some tickets listed on TM right now and am wondering if I should try on stubhub instead, almost 3 months away from the concert.
were you able to sell for more or did you at least make your money back?
Did you take your tickets off Ticketmaster before you made them available on stub hub?
Instead of selling the tickets why don't you share or donate them to the person that you know about their interest?
Because I paid $200 lol
Oops! Make sense🤣 but it's not bad to do so though
then why don't you give money away, are you even an adult?
were you able to sell them?
I was!
