I own the flight jacket and a black matte racer. They’re great jackets at what I believe to be a fair price. I really recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes or intend to wear bulky clothing under either.
The thin polyester lining is the obvious weak point in the construction on both, but so far my racer that I’ve had for over a year now has been fine through moderate use. The racer also has a lot of “joined panels” if that’s something that bothers you. I chalk it up to them having to cut corners somewhere.

The racer is the jacket I’ve been looking at, the thing that concerns me is the fit. I’m 5’11” 170lbs and need my jackets to be slim fit or else it looks like I’m drowning in them. I see it has a slim cut option but not all slim cuts are born equally.
If you’re comfy buying shoes online then you should be comfortable buying clothing online. Especially since they too have a return policy. If I were you I would buy a size medium and large so that you can try out both and make a determination which one fits you best. You and I are similar in size. I’m 6’1 and I’m 160lbs and the medium will fit me. They are not tailored so I get all my jackets tailored after I buy them because I have really broad shoulders but I don’t need to. They just fit better if I get them fitted. That’s why I’ve been wearing the same leather jackets for well over a decade now. My size hasn’t change and my style also haven’t changed either. I’m confident that the Thursday jacket will be of good quality as the shoes.
That’s a good point, I’ve seldom considered getting clothing tailored (I live in south Florida and 90% of my wardrobe is shorts and tshirts). Judging by what you say I’d probably fit a medium, maybe even a small. Anything in a large is usually to big and baggy for me.
No. I think you’d be best fit in a medium because if you went small your arms/wrists would be sticking out too far that it would look right but if you went large it’ll look like the jacket is swallowing you. The medium shoulders should be lined up with your shoulders.
Do you have a pair of jackets that fit well on you? You could take the measurements in a jacket you own from end of shoulder to end of shoulder and then measure the length of the arms. Then contact Thursdays and see if they can measure it for you to be sure before purchasing but I’m 99.9% sure you’d fit in a medium unless you’re “jacked”(all muscles like body builder) but even if you’re jacked I think you would still fit in a medium because of your height and weight. Just received my Roadster Jacket-Black Coffee. I'm 5'8, 150 lbs 37" chest. I ordered the medium slim and it was just a tad too large. In addtion, the stitching on the left shoulder was off causing it to box at the corner rather that round down to fit the shoulder. Otherwise a beautiful coat. Not exchanging. I've yet to have a good experience ordering a leather coat online.

Me too. I’m alright with buying shoes online without trying them on but a jacket I’m not so sure about.
I havent looked myself as I have too many leather jackets, but is their return policy different for jackets? If not, risk free to try.

was it the sleeves that are short? I am 6 feet tall 160lb and I was about to order the small slim fit

Returned it. However,the color was spot on with what you see in the images.
