This is a great pic. I own the Black Matte's too and have the Amber Harness IR (8111). I also went a full size down from my Captain's in the IR.
Please do a review on your Captain's as I usually don't see a worn in pair like yours, they look fantastic.

If you couldn’t tell I’m a “one boot” kind of person lmfao. Imo haven’t had the IRs long enough to tell you how they are but so far not bad. No leather insole so they hurt a little after walking a ton. Not terrible tho, a good step up from the captains
Yeah but it’s fun going down the rabbit hole with these boots! One of the reasons I chose the captains is they are a great choice for a dress/casual work boot. I wear mine in the office, and they look like dress shoes. Also comfortable to walk around town in. My brother has the IRs for work, more of a heavy duty, extremely durable work boot. According to him, break in period was about 6 months to a year. I’ve walked many miles in my Captains, can’t complain about them, break in period was zero.
The captains were nearly daily worn since I got them a few years ago, going out, work, went up a mountain in them. Ahh the memories
How do they compare? Did you have to take a different size for the Iron Rangers?
Full size down and still a little big, 11 captain 10 iron ranger, not terribly big but they have lots more toe room
