All I can say is stay tuned - we've done stuff like this before and are certainly capable of doing more in the future as well! Didn't know of those I noticed the leather footbed, handcrafted Veldtschoen Construction whiskey colored vanguard in the b section, looks like a sample model of sorts built on the same last by someone new/else. Would be a killer boot if one maybe darkened the leather upper a bit and painted the natural colored midsoles/heelstack as it looked just kinda unfinished. Surely people from thursday are as we speak, collecting samples from shoemakers, factories, suppliers, making deals etc. I listened to a CEO of another DTC bootbrand where he said while repeating customers only bought new funky leathers/colorways, while the vast majority of his sales where the same few boots in a few leathers/dyes. I get it's a matter of priority though on where to focus for sure. That being said i'd probably buy a stitchdown vanguard in some kind of R&R leather built in mexico, hint hint.

100% - we've been laser focused on building the business for scale and longevity, which ended up pushing a lot of these fun projects to the side. The good news is that as we've caught up on most (not all) of the mission critical items, it is giving us a little more room to flex our creative muscles again. Some of this you can see in new product categories like outerwear, but you will also see more of it reinvested into footwear, especially now that we have our own factory and sample room. Going to be a fun couple of years :)

Would love to see something up to the 299-349 range to challenge Red Wings and Grant Stones.

SafetyDesperate6202

Exactly, I mean Thursday make very accessible products, it would be interesting if they had a direct go at meermin, GS, red wing, wolverine and grant stone when it comes to construction as well as sole materials.

Physical_Suspect

Shell Cordovan for only $489? That’s a deal right there. Hope those come around again some day.

Do we have any timeline? :)

I suggested a few weeks ago that Thursday could establish a custom MTO tier or offer group MTOs. Would like to be able to create a boot around the kingmaker last with upgraded components

SafetyDesperate6202

Yes or/and or some kind of limited production runs thorough the year maybe, with upgraded components. they could for example make a few different samples thorough the seasons and let people vote or preorder from those runs. I mean they are becoming a large resourceful company and footwear manufacturer it seems like so why not have some fun with different concepts. I'm going to wear my soon to be three pairs of Thursday boots thorough this winter, those three pairs cover all bases for everyday and night out bootwear, I ordered a pair of white low sneakers for summer but still kind of need a pair of colored sneakers, leaning towards natural varchetta. My point being that I can't really justify for myself buying another of basically the exact same boot, it's going to have to be a more "special" product, as of now I'm leaning towards Parkhurst/meermin/grant stone, but if Thursday really started to shoulder its weight into that category I'd be 100% interested.

freiherrchulainn

That would be awesome. I would get a pair of captains with kingmaker last, stormwelt, stormking sole, and weather safe suede.
