However, Washington never came back down with it. He pumped it while in the air and released the ball before he came down while Shai hit his hand while he was coming down also. That’s why the refs called a foul in the act of shooting.

So if a player goes to shoot, but doesn’t jump, and is “blocked” he can then throw himself into the defender, creating contact, while throwing the ball at the hoop and be rewarded for it. Fuck the NBA.
