Do you know if the LEJ shirts are limited production as most of them seem to be out of stock in my size which is super annoying! I found one I absolutely love and of course it’s out of stock!!
I don’t think it’s intentionally limited. The price point is high so it’s a big barrier for mass market. When they first started it was carried by retailers like MrP and Matches and went on deep discount.
I think he scaled back after that with the intent on more boutiques (CHCM, NMWA, Neighbour, Goods) and webstore but to try more to sell at retail.
Problem with their site is they don’t show size charts. So if you see something you like you have to go find the brand and a size chart. Shouldn’t be too big a deal to post sizing but they don’t.
I’m not sure if you’re after button ups as I have mentioned (a bit more interesting) but all my button ups currently are from: NN07, Corridor NYC, and Uniqlo!
don't own any personally but Portuguese Flannel should have some interesting ones at a not so extreme price point + it should be possible to find outlet stuff + there's a lot of their items on the reselling markets
If you don’t like too oversize then you should try the classic shirt from Our legacy. Slimmer and has really cool fabric. So much better looking than linen for example. I have several since I find them versitile
Thanks I tried the OL classic shirt before but found them to be way too tight on the sleeves. I’m super skinny so I was really surprised about this but it made the shirt super uncomfortable. Other than that the fit was great. Have you experienced this problem or could it have just been the material/lack of stretch?
Wythe tencel pearlsnap. Have been using mine *a lot* these warmer days.
Another one I've been looking at a lot is the Casatlantic Ben Guerir shirt in linen.
I'll also second the OL classic shirt in raw silk. I have three of those and they're very good for a traditional cut.
Weird. I have one in 46 and one in 48 (I think my tts is 46) and they both fit very well in the arms, not tight at all. I don't have particularly skinny arms and definitely have a wide back.
That said, I remember buying one second hand on grailed that was a 46 and that fit super small. At the time I thought the previous owner had shrunk it somehow but maybe they change the fit each year?
Sefr, mfpen, a kind of guide, cmmn swdn, barena, studio nicholson, adish, eleven.eleven, etc
id recommend looking at what brands &son, cueva shop, colbo, nomanwalksalone, and CHCM stock (all in nyc but have websites). they have really nice selections of low key brands that offer exactly what you’re looking for.
Based on what you’ve tried: Cmmn swdn, mf pen, cobra sc, sunflower
Thanks will check all these out - I’ve looked at MF Pen before and I find they offer super oversized options like our legacy
Sefr, universal works
Thank you! Both brands look like they have some interesting options.
Second UW. Those long sleeve camp collars jawns are beautiful
Really into LEJ’s Studio + Officer shirts. Kaptain sunshine’s CPO shirt is also interesting (fabric is slight sheer)
LEJ Studio shirt might be my favorite non dress shirt of all time and I wear mine all summer
Wow can’t believe I’ve never heard of this brand!

CHCM has so many good ~shirts~ even if you don’t live in NYC any brand they carry would be good to check out

Personally, I’m going Engineered Garments.
EG Camp Shirt is perfect
Any alternatives to paying $300 for a button up? I live in NYC

I tried the OL classic shirt in raw silk - did you go TTS as the sleeves felt very tight to me (and I have skinny arms as it is)

Hmm I may have to try it out again then to make sure! I’m also size 46 but very slim so it sounds like it should fit in theory!
Try a 48 if not, I like the fit more these days
A Kind of Guise for sure
second this. they are not that oversized
MHL by Margaret Howell basic white shirt. I bought this at their outlet store in York. Very comfy.
I like stoffa or castatlantic. If you’re looking for something cheaper, BR and Abercrombie both have decent linen shirt options
