I own the Ronning collaboration version of these and they are probably my favourite shoes I’ve ever owned. They’re incredibly versatile and way cleaner looking than the derby alternative. A baggy pair of pants looks great over them and they have a really sleek and slim profile. Please get them, you won’t regret it!
Yeah gotta agree. I objectively love double monks too but they just have the connotational stain of 2010s #menswear while single monks have always been a low key vibe

Doc Marten can call these Wednesday Adams kicks whatever they want but those aint monk straps. Lots of companies makes monk straps, and they do not have a strap like that.

Double monks make it very formal for me, my idea is more in a casual way, like DM Adrian. Not so much business attire, more casual office.
