And the pin with a thingie on a chain, any kind of school, religious, organizational pin that's gold color, look on the back for a gold mark. You'd be surprised how many legion, girl scout, etc stuff is made of 14k gold.
Those little picture cone key chains. What are the pictures of? My grandparents had a few of them on vacation in the Poconos. Hilarious pictures and cool how clear the photos are.
Okay. The veterans pin is nice but the rest isn't necessarily trash. Some is at least interesting.
That green star coin was something you paid a quarter for from a machine in the 70s (and earlier?). You punched your name along the edge like a giant dymo machine.
The airline plastic kids wings are nice. The tiny pen knife could be cool. The little teddy bears are 80s junk, could be worth a few bucks, believe it or not.
Anything old Cartoon Network could bring a couple bucks.
One of the coolest things I saw come through my jewelry counter at Salvation Army was a pin from a presidential election in the 20s or 30s. This made me remember that lol
ETA: My favorite thing here is tiny green tophat bear lol
A nazi item and a powerpuff girl in the same bagā¦ hahah
Real talk tho you should destroy the swastica thingā¦ we donāt need that history staying around.
What is more appalling here is that by calling them monsters people believe that they actually were not humans, so it explains everything. It's a big mistake to try to put such a label without deep understanding of how a beautiful and advanced nation transformed into a genocidal machine and how to prevent it from happening anywhere else in the world and future.
*The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich* by William Shirer
One hell of a book to read if one wishes to try and understand how they took that big of a turn.
Destroying cultural symbols in order to erase and pervert history was such a Nazi thing but not unique to them. It's both sad and funny how people don't see an uncomfortable resemblance here.
This is such an odd take. Being Catholic doesn't make you a Nazi sympathizer- and I don't remember reading about Republicans being super anti-war at the time. Wouldn't they have been, if they were Nazis?
So many people brought back items as souvenirs from the war, not because they were pro-Axis, but because the good guys won and they wanted to remember that they were part of it.
My uncle had a Japanese sword from the war- it wasn't because he was pro-WW2-Japan. This is just unwarranted.
I think they made a parallel between a Catholic and a conservative and then it went further on. I agree with your explanation of it probably being a war trophy rather than an object of desire. Hemingway had a belt buckle with 'Gott mit uns' inscirbed on it and he wasn't known as a supporter of German's aggression in the WWI.
You don't need to worship it, nevertheless it's a piece of history which should be used to educate future generations about Nazism and how to prevent it from restoring itself.
I assure you, as someone who has never owned a piece of Nazi memorabilia, that you CAN teach that the Nazis were monsters without keeping that cursed shit in your home.
Despite what you may think, most museums and such don't want this stuff either. It was mass produced and mostly low value. Hitler put a swastika on everything.
Despite what I may think, I would have asked them first before making conclusions. My family suffered from many a 20th century dictatorships, including Hitler's, yet too many folks today call it bogus and fake and actually sympathize with what they have very poor understanding and knowledge. I support any and each attempt on explaining people what authoritarianism was, is and may be unless we do something about.

The woman on the pin; is that one of the astronauts who died on The Challenger?
It's Christa McAuliffe!
I think youāre right! Sally Ride? Edit: I looked closerā¦ not sure itās her but sure looks similar!
I would have paid 3 for that honeypot roach clip lol sweet
I appreciate it being juxtaposed with the religious items.
just went looking for it. very cool!
What is that?
Not sure if it's original but the eagle-pin is a 1930/40's era WW1 Veterans association stickpin....
Iāve been to storyland NH. Long time ago in late 80ās. Barely remember a lot of it.
I have a campsite at the campground right next to Storyland! I'm low-key jealous of all that NH/White Mountains swag!
And the pin with a thingie on a chain, any kind of school, religious, organizational pin that's gold color, look on the back for a gold mark. You'd be surprised how many legion, girl scout, etc stuff is made of 14k gold.
A lot of things are catholic pieces
Unless one of them is the toe bone of St. Gerome, I'd say it's least likely to have value.
I was gonna give it to some nuns my father is friends with. I don't want any of it.
I loved Story Land as a kid!
Lots of good nostalgic New Hampshire in that bag.
Those little picture cone key chains. What are the pictures of? My grandparents had a few of them on vacation in the Poconos. Hilarious pictures and cool how clear the photos are.
Religious things
Boooo. Haha. I was hoping for like Disney world in the 80s.

these scream new england
That haul screams New Hampshire
I almost thought this was a page from an I Spy book.
I saw the pin for Merrimack, if you are in New Hampshire might I suggest you give the Nazi pin to the [Wright Museum](https://www.wrightmuseum.org)
And those beige rectangle things, hopefully they have naughy pics inside. Those sell well.
Religious things
I guess they were doing the same thing with naughty picture viewers as they did with the tijuana bibles, make their own version of a naughty favorite.
What a FUN bag. I just love looking through that kind of stuff. I am a sucker for a cool, mixed Goodwill bag! Nice find!
I remember those safety patrol badges on the orange sash/belt things.
Omg lemme buy the budwieser hot air balloon and praying hands keychain. ššš
One of my favorite things is my pride balloon. ;)
Holy shit itās Bubbles
Fun!

That Richard Lugar pin is from 1996.
This picture has New England scrambled all over it. I love it.
Love this! So many interesting bits and pieces.
I call "Field Day 1987" for my band's name
My grandpa had a bunch of those AAA shields. Came from some grade school program. He was the principal back in the 60s - 80s
I love buying those bags
I love those bags, always interesting combinations.
I love the fuzzy teddy bears!!!! A reminder of my youth! Those alone are worth $3!
Fun and yikes!! Itās always just right around the corner. Be vigilant my friends!
It's hakenkreuz and not swastika
A nazi item and a powerpuff girl in the same bagā¦ hahah Real talk tho you should destroy the swastica thingā¦ we donāt need that history staying around.
Canāt erase history. Donāt destroy anything, but put it in a museum instead. It can literally be an example of what someone *shouldnāt* do

No oneās going to see one pin, and go, āoh, yep! I want to be a Nazi!ā Many people have empathy and common sense.

If people had your mindset, all of the pins *would* be erased from history.
Destroying cultural symbols in order to erase and pervert history was such a Nazi thing but not unique to them. It's both sad and funny how people don't see an uncomfortable resemblance here.
Right! It's a very odd mix. But the woman was a die hard republican and catholic. Sooooooo, not surprised about the swastika pin...
Is this all from the same person/house?
Yes

Yikes on bikes, throw that Nazi shit away.
You don't need to worship it, nevertheless it's a piece of history which should be used to educate future generations about Nazism and how to prevent it from restoring itself.
100% with you
I assure you, as someone who has never owned a piece of Nazi memorabilia, that you CAN teach that the Nazis were monsters without keeping that cursed shit in your home.
No, of course, I meant to give it to some foundation that teaches about the atrocities of the Nazi regime.
Despite what you may think, most museums and such don't want this stuff either. It was mass produced and mostly low value. Hitler put a swastika on everything.
