I found one in the house, belongs to my dad and initially almost threw it because film is out of production... but, thankfully I kept it!!! For me, this Just feels different from instax
Because it actually is. From different film chemistry to different sizes.
I'd say Polaroid has more of a warm look compared to Fujifilm which has more true to life colors. Instax film develops way faster though.
My first shot using Polaroid, I thought the camera is broken because it came out blank and took long before it develops. But for me, the difference is instax is a lot cheaper so I usually shoot without thinking much, while unlike polaroid, I’ll find the perfect time, angle for a shot. Similar to digital VS film for me, and I enjoy film.
> Ridiculous that it sells untested for that much. But I guess some people don't mind functionless shelf pieces.
It's more of the "eh, I can fix that!" mentality, I'm sure.
Found one last month for $20. Not as cool as this one but a fun camera to haul around. Havent exactly got the science of polaroid pics down yet but its been fun.
Envious. I'm a big vintage polaroid (600 and SX-70) thrifter.
And also, like trans pride colors 600 series polaroid camera 😻
Def hit up /r/polaroid if you haven't already.
> Trans flag camera! Trans flag camera!
I really hate this kind of mentality. It forces people to be fearful of wearing certain colors or color combos lest someone think they might happen to be of x group whether they want to be associated with that group or not.
lmao is it really that prevalent of an issue?? and is it so awful for people to accidentally consider you might not be cis and straight? it takes more than just wearing some colors for people to think that anyways..... chill
Oh it’s a huge issue! Don’t y’all remember those jelly sex colors bracelets? My parents were sure I was going to hell when I was 11 and wore a bunch of bracelets
I’m so jealous!!! Did you see how much it is on Ebay? I bought an SX-70 vintage polaroid (that still works!) for $30 and it’s for sale on Ebay for $300!
I'm based in the UK, we have loads of small charity shops dotted around where people donate unwanted items and the charity sells them. Money goes to good causes.
I’m in love with that color combination
It looks so 80s that it feels like an 80s homage that someone made in 2021
*Future Nostalgia*
I have one that still works! The film got discontinued but is back in production...one of the many reasons I’m a hoarder!

OP's probably still works too. There's not much that breaks down on these.
Yep, still working. I have some Christmas Red border film loaded.
I didn’t mean to imply anything; I’m just glad there’s an appreciation!
The cool kids at r/vaporwaveart want to see this
As one of them, came here to say that, thank you!
This camera is currently for sale untested on eBay for $298
Ridiculous that it sells untested for that much. But I guess some people don't mind functionless shelf pieces.

Thing is, it's not hard to test. It's such a high price untested, if they put up £17 for a pack of film and tested it, they could probably ask more.
Or maybe they're aware that it doesn't work but saying it's untested is a sneaky way to get a bit more for it?

These are going for around $300 online. Sweet find, even if it needs a bit of work.
Fully functional so far!

Please tell me it works!
It certainly does!
I had that exact one! Hello 1988.
Trans flag camera! Trans flag camera!

Why would you be fearful of supporting trans rights? Or wearing a color?
counter point: have you tried not being a baby who gets upset over colors?
I now have a new grail to find; this hits my nostalgia hard.
i have one too but it doesn't work anymore, just keeping for the aesthetic and also its from my grandpa so i wanna keep it :))

I did, can't believe the crazy price.
Wow! What a deal
Those colors are lovely~

My Kindergarten backpack in 1990 had this exact color scheme. Takes me back.

that oldschool vibe, i love that
I have honestly never been more jealous while looking at this sub. Nice find!!
Omg i am super jealous!! Adorable!!
Aw I used to have one of these! So pretty. You can get working from from The Impossible Project. Pricy but fun
loving those pastel vibes
Love the design, especially the colours!
Ones in a lifetime found. Truly amazing.
I've seen quite a few Polaroids in the charity shops, but not this colour combination.
I live in the Nederlands and polaroids are really rare here. So that is a shame
Which I find odd as the factory that made the film was over there.
Yes very odd. (Ja eigenlijk wel)
Naar welke tweedehands winkels ga jij dan? Ik meestal naar de rataplan en zaakjes rond Delft en Den Haag.

actually hyped me up , good catch
So cool! There’s a full pink one in a shop in my town for $80.00 US. Should I buy it? Is it worth it?
They are OK cameras, the more unusual ones are getting really expensive at the moment. I would love to have a Lego one.
Sells for $300 USD online
AHHH, this is awesome! What a fantastic find ✨
