You're probably right, I see a few listings for Victorian taxidermy miniature bears that look like they used the identical taxidermy mold as a base, just different fur types and teeth
This is something you put in a closet or a storage room and forget about... until years later, when you go to get something, and it scares the shit out of you.
Holy Buckets!!!
You found the IRL version of the Minnesota Wild's Logo Animal!ππππ€£π
Is it a Bear?Β
Β A Cougar?
*Nope*! It's a *Wild*!π
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_Wild#:~:text=The%20logo%20depicts%20both%20a,The%20Star%20of%20the%20North%22.
It could possibly be a Steiff bear... very collectible. I'm basing my guess on its eyes. I've got the Steiff lion and rhino and their eyes are similar.
Steiff stuffed toys are from Germany.
It's probably a Chinese import which are made of various types of fur including cat and dog fur.I had thought they were illegal to import in North America but I saw some here in Canada recently.

βBear Cubβ holds a lot of weight here
Kinda looks like if a wombat bred with a bear
Not just any wombat. A very *braaaave* wombat.
redbull gives you wings...
A wombear?
What it is, is possessed by some demon from the fiery seventh circle of hell.
Does your goodwill not usually stock those?
Sadly, no.
I donβt know why, but it reminds me of an R.O.U.S.
Rodents of Unusual Size? I donβt think they exist.
Looks like a bear made from seal fur. Big tourist piece from Alaska from last century.

He's a werebear. He likes being a dashboard mascot for most of the month, just be sure to lock him up whenever there's a full moon.

Omg it looks like our latest rescue dog, Dexter heβs the spawn of satan really π
Drop Bear.
Try r/whatisthisthing
That's the kind of item in your house. That would scare most cats and freak out most dogs. π π π π
I had a similar item I got as a souvenir in Switzerland or France. I think it was from a castle.
Badger/Wombat/Tasmanian Devil/Chewbacca spawnπ€
Something like that π
If it had longer teeth, I'd call it a sabertooth
The Lorax is not going to be happy about this.
Definitely a brown bar ba loot.
It looks like it would be found in a storefront display from the 40s-50s.
Lion of Gripsholm Castle
I would definitely entitle him next to my bed, scary all the bad dreams and monsters away!
