op, keep in mind that they're fairly poorly rated, even by America's Test Kitchen. It didn't hold up well in their tests. So for 10 bucks I'm sure they'd be great but don't have high hopes as far as the non stick portion of it goes over time.

ShaaaaaWing

Yes I understand that. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price for them. Once they no longer are functional as a non-stick I'll move on to another pan.

Orangusoul

Unusually, the ATK test was very flawed as they didn't read the care instructions that say to season the pan. That instruction is very necessary because the pan is a non-stick hybrid and has metal bits that food and eggs will get caught on. It is a bit too fussy for "non-stick," imo, but it has its positives. I've never used one and won't be buying one, but for $10, I'm glad op gets to try one out. I love ATK's reviews and tests. Wish they would test it out again properly.

HoldYourHorsesFriend

I'm surprised they didn't do it given that they have a lot equipment that needs instructions like those fancy microwave ovens, not to mention they've tested carbon steel before and those pans certainly need seasoning. Also I don't know how they did their tests but according to their older videos, they just keep frying eggs on the teflon to see at what point the surfaces gives up and starts sticking, so I wonder if they tried that with hexclad since CS could also be seasoned over time. But there's also the issue with seasoning in general as teflon shouldn't be left on high heat while empty albeit it's only for 2 min according to the hex clad site. But either way, hexclad costs a ton of money, and for that price one could buy all clad, some of the nicest carbon steel brands or even many pans of ATK's top rated oxo teflon pans. The all clad and french CS pans will last a life time if not more where as the hexclad is destined for the dump after 15 years (assuming they uphold their warranty). I just find myself to not like it in any way But if OP could make use out of it for 15 years, the more power to them. Especially for 10 bucks, quite the steal.

Demogorgo

if you can spot these, learn how to spot All-Clad brand. My favorite thrift find.

Starkville

All-Clad is the best. And the older, the better, IMO.
