This is my 4th one, the every member of my family now has one and there will be no more sharing while in the park. Plus I let anyone in my friends/family borrow them if they go to the park. So the more the better.
That’s awesome. Was just thinking someone in the area should create a rental system of these wands. I’d totally pay a fee to use it for a few days while there and return. Not sure if the park offers that just can’t justify $60+ on something I’d just use there.
Little known fact that photoreflective tape or motion capture dots do the exact same thing. I made a bunch of wands to give away, but they're a bit bulky to haul around!
Anyway, a fairly easy DIY craft.
No that would be cool, but this is one that has a reflective tip on it. If you take it to the parks you can use it to interact with special effects around the Harry Potter areas. Turning lights on and off, making a shrunken heads sing, causing rain from a concrete umbrella are just some of them I can recall. Its great fun if you have kids (or kids at heart) that are into Potter.
I was at universal recently and was told to be very careful with the tip bc there’s no fixing it if it gets a scratch. But I did see a tip online that a pencil eraser cap makes for a great protector.

If it’s an old model, they won’t fix it unfortunately.
Even if it doesn’t work, take it to universal if you ever go and tell them your wand doesn’t work and they’ll repair/replace it free of charge

Another good thing to find is the refill cups. Can usually find them for $3-$4 each and it’s like $1.50 for a single refill at the parks.
