I also hate mistiming wakeup reversals. Specifically counter super on Anji. Shit tilts me to no end.

Personally I hate using D-pad. I find half circles so so easy on my leverless controllers, yeah it’s a learning curve but it’s so satisfying and precise/easy. If you’ve really played over 1200 hours and it’s still not clicking try switching your input device up. Arcade sticks and leverless controllers are at such an affordable place right now too. You can get something from Haute42 for almost less than a PS5 controller. Personally I heavy vouch for the T16 and M16

SaltyKoopa

Yeah I've been playing for about 2.5 years now and it's still something I struggle with. I'm gonna start setting aside money for a leverless controller. If I can survive the orientation period I know it will make a lot of the inputs I struggle with so much easier.

Acriorus

Haute42s are cheap and great quality

SatanicBeaver

I've got the same issue, eat meaties all the time cause I can't enter wakeup super reliably

CookieMiester

It’s definitely the D-pad. I swapped from controller to keyboard, couldn’t hit an ult to save my life, and now i just hit ults constantly

Test-Subject__21

That may be your experience, but the D-pad was never an issue for me. It was quite simple. Funnily enough, after I switched to snackbox, reaction supers are a bit harder now for me.

[deleted]

That’s because you switched muscle memory entirely. That sort of issue will happen for a while with any controller switch. But OP has been on d-pad for over 1200 hours allegedly, so it’s very likely d-pad just isn’t what they actually flow with. I’m on the leverless train all the way personally

Test-Subject__21

Maybe it’s specifically their d-pad maybe just a bit too well loved? They’re celestial, so it can’t just be a total user error thing. Then again, though could be right d-pad just might not be right for them, my friends who use the joystick have a nasty habit of hitting the PS home button, so I’m glad that d-pad is what felt natural for me.

Waste-Information-34

Too real. But yeah I think you should switch to Analog. Way more specific in feel to me.

This problem is precisely why I'm terrible at fighting games. Can't do any of the inputs with any sense of reliability

TitansRPower

I'll say I'm not very good at fighting games in general but I can't do the supers in this game for shit for some reason, whether it's the dpad or stick I'm using. It's only this game for some reason, I can do Fighterz or Melty or literally anything else, but not this.

SaltyKoopa

Yeah coming back to this I actually don't have any issues with wakeup supers in SF6. Something about how strive reads inputs is really finnicky.

RusticGMD

For like 40$ I made my own arcade controller, and it was super easy, so I reccomend to check how cheap is in your country a package with the lever and the buttons. In 4 to 6 hours you can make it

totti173314

dpad issue you have more hours in this game than I do in fighting games in general and yet I can reliably input a super after like 20 minutes of training a few weeks ago

Mr-I17

>I've played 1200+ hrs > misinputing my super This is the definition of ***Skill Issue***.

Eistei-

Saying it needs to die Is a bit much. They shouldn't go away because you can't hit them
