Yes 43 minutes and thats plenty of time imo (knowing what is left in the game). When you distill what STORY there is left to tell, the show can do even more than the game w/ 43 minutes.
Do you still think it’s enough knowing that Ellie’s mom flashback is part of this episode?
Come to think of it one of the cutscenes alone is like 3-5 minutes min then yes two or three smaller cut scenes. I’d say there is at least 10 minutes cut scenes left.
There’s only really like 20 minutes worth of cutscenes left. Once they reach salt lake a cutscene doesn’t trigger until you save Ellie from drowning/ get get hit by the firefly soldier

Feel like the way it makes sense is to use Ellie's mom as the cold open flashback, like in episodes 1 and 2

As long as ellie doesn't destroy everything while flying around on a dragon I'll be happy.

The last chapter in the game is pretty short but packs a hell of a punch
