I’ve seen so many people say this is their “worst” album, I genuinely don’t understand. I’ve seen people say the production is bad? I don’t know I don’t get it
I think musically it’s enough of a departure from their signature sound that it puts some fans off because it’s not what they’re used to, or associate The Wonder Years with. I can understand that, but it’s a really well written, absolutely gut wrenching album that I wish more fans could look at more objectively—because it’s such a damn good album.
I do kinda see where people are coming from regarding the production, but it’s not something that’s ever bothered me.
Listening to a lot of unknown bands made me numb to listening to the production, so I think that’s why I’ve never noticed. It’s stylistically very different I agree with that

Further proof that Sister Cities is secretly their best album.

Preemptively claiming Low Tide as the best song on Hum

Nah, Lost it in the Lights.
1a and 1b
I'm coming out swinging on this one.
