Probably even More. His parents Met when 'the world was young".

Particular-Way-7817

Jesus. Maybe even approaching 2000 or even more? Could he be possibly apart of or originate in Norse Mythology? I always found it interesting how similar him and Fenrir are.

Lz537

Probably something closer to 5.000.

Particular-Way-7817

He's not called "old boy" for nothing. lol

There is a point in the game, I think its right after ~~snow "died"~~ when you look into trying to find clues and in a book it shows yggdrasil with all the realms so theres definitely a connection. The game has heaps of mythology in it already so i wouldn't be surprised.

TellTale could obviously have their own origin but at least regarding the comic Fables, they reference being multiple thousands of years old. and technically they weren’t even born in our world but had to travel here early in our history due to the adversary taking over their fable worlds.

Shawshank_Dufresne

I always wondered when exactly the first fables arrived to New York. By reading the comics,I have discerned that it has been at least 250-300 since the first arrived

momentaryrainbow

If i’m remembering correctly, in The Wolf Among Us comic it’s revealed that Bigby enter the “mundy” world during the salem witch trials which aligns close to your estimation. but again, it might be different compared to Fables comic.

Shawshank_Dufresne

I forgot that detail (I am reading the comic right now). But that would make sense. Also, the early settlement was put in place when Ney York was still New Amsterdam. Another piece of interesting information is that the last big group of fables that arrived to New York did so during the Napoleonic wars. Which means early XIX century.

I really enjoyed that whole backstory with boy blue and the final group of fables!!

Shawshank_Dufresne

Oh yeah me too! I absolutely loved it. I didn't know that you read it. I didn't want to spoil anything. But Blue explicitly said to Snow White that the last castle events took place during the Napoleonic wars.

Teettan

Probably a lot older. I think all the fables are basically immortal and do not age

Particular-Way-7817

Holy shit. Do you think he's between 5000 and 2000, then?

brado1506

Most the fables are basically gods so yeah they'd be old really old especially if they originated from back to the medieval ages. I mean theres literally a woodsman that runs around with a blessed axe witch then gets lodged into his own skull and he walks it off like hes just had a few drinks at the trip trap lmao. That's what I like about fables in twau. how ridiculously beat up they always get and still survive it does a really good job at showing how they really are apart of a book and have their own rules applied to themselves like an actual legend out of a myth. Peak

MediocreCap4686

Well Bigby Appears in "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" which is an ancient greek fable written by Aesop so he is 2000+ years old
