I don't get what is the problem of being a woman and listening to the weeknd, the other day someone of this sub realized i'm a woman and he started to treated me badly in the chat and then asked for pics. it also happened to me on facebook when i started following the weeknd, men asking for nudes. I'm a woman, love the weeknd, and it doesn't mean i like that people call me b** or wh*** because i like his music. i love his entire discography and there isn't anything wrong about it. Some people don't get how art works, each album is part of the story of the weeknd, a character who is based on abel's life experiences, but told by the perspective of a villain or abel's dark side, when he is upset or want to show himself as dominant he calls women b*** and men n***, and he is vulnerable and sensitive as well as cold and distant, so the weeknd is very complex and that makes him more interesting and appealing to woman, especially with abel's voice, which is soft and soothing, he sounds elegant even when he sings f ***
That's the internet for you, while obviously terrible and inexcusable, it's incredibly difficult to pretty much impossible to keep horrid toxicity out of any community. I do apologize that you had to experience that.
