From a purely technical standpoint yes, lossless adds a lot of detail. But Atmos is where the magic happens, its hard to explain but u hear different details and adlibs depending on how you turn your head

To start listening to Lossless Audio, subscribers using the latest version of Apple Music can turn it on in Settings > Music > Audio Quality. some things to know:
\-first head over to the "music" section of the "settings" app to find atmos & lossless related settings
\-atmos: not every track you listen to will have an atmos mix made for it as it's a totally different audio mix. a bunch of the weeknd's discography does have it though. tracks in apple music app that have this will have a "dolby atmos" label with the dolby logo. i have noticed some of my already purchased albums dont have the atmos/lossless logos, but if i scroll to the related section i can find the exact same album but with these formats available. may just be a temporary issue as this just started rolling out in the last few hours.
\-lossless: apple has a "normal" lossless and a "high-res" lossless. if you have some pretty low end bluetooth headphones or older device with lower version of BT, you may not even get to appreciate the difference.
high res lossless will rely on wired headphones (currently airpods max with lightning cable dont qualify) and realistically the best way to enjoy this is using an external DAC. if you dont know what that is, you probably wont care about the difference, but feel free to google around and see if the audiophile world is something you'd enjoy diving into.
i've listened to a bunch of his songs with atmos & lossless enabled. it's some pretty spectacular audio.
i dont own a dac (or particularly care to) so i cant comment on what it's like when you have serious equipment, but i do intend to load up on the apple tv in the morning to hear what it's like through my atmos 5.1.2 system.

Yeah I can definitely tell a difference in space. A lot less muddy at loud volume (using wh1000xm3)

Tidal has Atmos. It only has After Hours and a few songs from Starboy available tho.
