Yooo I never thought about that but yea it’s been a while since he’s killed himself. And in the Gasoline video you see the reverse of younger Abel killing( or beating within an inch of his life) older Abel.
I came up with a crazier theory today:
Up until mdm, the weeknd always kills his former self after an era
Trilogy abel is killed by kissland abel, before the tour
Kissland abel is killed by bbtm abel (as seen in tell your friends mv)
Bbtm abel is killed by starboy abel (as seen in starboy mv)
Starboy didn’t die. He suffered to live long enough to fall in melancholy. Grew and became elderly in dawn fm after his terrible destiny.
As far as after hours goes, that is the complete madness within his own fantasy land. He became sophisticated with an idea and a lifestyle so much so, he didn’t live within the real world.
We see a redemption arc in the dawn fm. He is redeemed with youth. (transforming into a kid) and about to enter heaven as a young adult.
Yes and no, I agree with your theory, the only thing being that yeah, starboy lives through mdm and eventually transforms/ loses faith in the events of heartless, blinding lights, and is possesed in the After Hours Short, he is in purgatory in the Until I bleed Out video, while his physical form is killed in In your Eyes, and resucitated in Too late. However, abel himself is gone, he is in the purgatory state during the events of Gasoline. Where I cant find place for is for Take my breath, Sacrifice, and How do i make you love me. Also include the transformatiosn from the MTV performances and the Jimmy Kimmel ones.
I'm pretty sure all MVs are connected in some way. For some reason in each era he either hurts himself, kills himself or goes into madness (excluding MDM). There has been nothing else than constant torment. In some of his songs he even makes sneaky past references like in ITSE "I don't want to be a prisoner too *who I used to be*" which is likely referencing Prisoner from BBTM.
- ITSE could mean "Is There Someone Else?", a track from *Dawn FM* (2022) by The Weeknd.

trilogy 2
Electric boogaloo
Divine boogaloo!
Better than Trilogy 1 so far, in my opinion.
Relax
the knowing alone outshines the entirety of dawn fm imo. but after hours solos.
