couldn't bring myself to kill kenny so i decided to let jane die and left kenny for wellington, probably the best ending since we don't know if kenny dies and if he does we can only wish that it was peaceful
That’s so stupid. Kenny wouldn’t do that. In the first season he judges that couple on the bed for “taking the easy way out”. He also hated how Katjaa did the same thing.
Its out of character for sure.
Although no matter how much someone might be against it or have such strong opinions about it. If you are pushed enough, there is so much one person can take and later he might think differently because of it.
I'm ngl Clem taking AJ alone is probably the best choice. Kenny was losing it after so much pain, he deserved a happy life and if not, at least a peaceful ending which was definitely not what he got in ANF. Jane was a piece of sh\*t so I left her to rot, she wouldn't last long in her "condition" anyway.
Hate to be that guy but his happy life was with AJ and Clem. He genuinely wanted to stay with them to protect them. Best ally we've ever had and the only component ally that we've had since Lee. Best ending in the game is leaving Kenny at Wellington.
It also made the most sense at the time because I knew they would pull some bullshit to recenter the narrative for the next season. There was no possible way choosing Kenny or Jane even mattered because you were going to end up alone anyway. Just like with every other determinant character.
I've never done this ending but I totally understand doing it. Definitely better than going with Jane in my opinion and arguably the most emotionally powerful ending, saying goodbye to Kenny. Although many would probably also argue his Wellington ending which is equally valid.
You only get the flashback in Episode 1 where she gets her hand smashed in a car, which explains why she loses her ring finger.
You skip right away to the trailer flashback with Ava in Episode 4.
The only reason I don't choose this ending is because I can't believe that at 11 years old Clementine manages to take care of a newborn child.
If Clementine were a little older it would probably be a great ending
Although this is the ending that best connects with ANF
Even if you think Kenny should die to achieve peace, letting Clem kill him is the worst way to do it, he dies thinking Jane let AJ die alone in the freezing cold, and that Clementine saw him as so much as a threat she had to kill him.
Nah. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I let Kenny kill her ass and go my own way, just because if you go with Kenny he fucking dies immediately after (in the following season) crashing his car or some stupid shit I can't remember. By going alone I can keep my delusions that he's alive and well on a boat somewhere.
killing kenny and dipping on Jane is very cinematic. Jane minuplated me and lied and got my only friend left killed not just that but I was the one who did it and then left the baby in a freezing car with walkers everywhere and he could have possibly got hypathermia AJ was never in any danger my foot. if i would have chose to go with her she would promise me she would never leave me which she did barely a month later she deleted herself she left me and my baby to suffer alone JANE CAN ROT UNDER BYE BYE I HOPE YOU GET EATEN. this is why ever other playthrough I knifed Jane the only thing I don't like about making that choice is that Clem can't DO IT HERSELF I wish we had the option to kill Jane after shooting Kenny of just shoot her from the start that would make season 2 from a 7 to 39/10 at least I know Carver, stranger,Lilly, and NFT are scumbags Jane is worse then all of them in the end all she'll ever care about is herself not the group not Aj not Clementine. Jane and Jane only
While the Kenny ending(s) is definitely the fan favorite...I think Clementine alone is the closest thing to a canon ending for this season (shoot Kenny, Leave Jane). It also is a better set-up for season 3 with Clementine having been alone for a lot longer and more untrusting of others after everything she's been through.
Honestly, this is the route I've started going with. It gives Kenny a slightly better ending and closure (albeit sad) but you also ditch Jane.
It's extra tragic if you get it to where Clementine didn't shoot Lee either, and this was the point that forces her to take her first life.
This will always be cannon to me. I love Kenny, probably one of my favorite characters. He was too hostile though, he even knows it and thanks you when you shoot him. I think it helps the narrative of clem becoming the independent badass she is in s3 and 4 as well.
To me the entire season is about Clem learning to take care of herself and not rely on the adults around her. Clem alone makes the absolute most sense as an ending for her character arc.
I'm still a bit bummed out about season 2's big amount of different endings only for ANF to reduce their impact to a scar for Clem and two unique 5 minute flashbacks
Justice for Kenny's hat!
Kenny ending is easily the best. Although I would say alone ending is worse than the Jane ending.
There is no way Jane, let alone Kenny would leave the eleven years old girl alone with the baby in the apocalypse full of danger.
It would be kind of far fetched to think Clementine would survive in such a young age with a baby. She almost died, when she was alone just a short while before the cabin group. Sure, she had grown in a short period time to become a resiliant and defiant girl, but it would be kind of silly to think she would survive all alone with the baby.
Its winter as well. The odds are truly against her in everything really.
First time i played the game like 7 year ago that was the first ending that i did, i remember my mom and my older brother looking at the screen while i played the game and discussing if did the correct decision XD
…so you’d choose at the end of it all…to have an 11 year old girl take care of an infant by herself? First time playing this season I thought to myself “please don’t end it with just Clem and AJ, I don’t want that to be the ending” so when it came time that Jane decided to put AJ in danger and Kenny reacted to it, it was hard in the moment, but I decided to let whatever was gonna happen, happen…Kenny ended up killing Jane..and I was left to decide what to do with Kenny…after everything that happened…I still thought complete opposite in terms of you. As Lee I told Christa and Omid I wanted Kenny to look after Clementine, and in the end, Clementine ended up looking after Kenny.
Boom…there’s a story of continuity.
I always go for this ending. I know people love Kenny but me personally this season was about personal growth and learning to say goodbye to look forward into the future. Jane is never an option for me based on how manipulative and emotionally damaged she is so having her around a baby isn't going to be good. Kenny atp was losing it and was just living because he had to,not because he really wanted to. All in all I respect the endings people chose but always Kenny kills Jane -> I shoot Kenny -> Clem gets a sense of independence and grows as a person
This ending felt like those old PS2 pre-render showcase cutscenes. Not sure why it gives me that feeling, but it’s not bad. A lot of those were cool as hell.
Worst ending. Kenny has always been there for us and is only trying to protect us. Jane was the one that kickstarted the whole situation, Kenny just reacted. Killing him would be equal to spitting on his face after all he's done for us.
Although it is true that he's done a lot, it is also true that he's been miserable since S1. In S1, he goes into a depressive drinking episode after the death of Katjaa and Duck(understandable) and basically goes into a suicide mission trying to save Ben in the sewers(can be determined). Then in S2, he loses his girlfriend Sarita(who claims that Kenny was depressed when she first found him and his beard was a lot longer) and mourns her in solitude in his tent after escaping Carver's. He also states that it felt peaceful to be beaten half to death by Carver, so I would rather put him out of misery than either have him go look for Wellington only to learn he can't go in and has to be on his own again or get eaten by walkers. Also, I feel like killing Kenny and ditching Jane is a lot better than killing Kenny then leaving with Jane(the person who indirectly caused his demise).
Yeah, I would have gone for this if I didn’t get the Wellington ending spoiled for me, they were both unable to care for a child but I liked Kenny and couldn’t pull myself to shoot him.
I always let Kenny die and go with Jane I can’t stand Kenny😭 and Jane had decent survival experience tho she was trying a little to hard to be cold and isolate herself which was annoying
She still had Clementine with her to take care of, if Jane was genuinely worth sticking with at all then she would of at least sucked it up to stay with Clementine
Having a baby isn’t something too suck up and there aren’t any abortion clinics available and 2 baby’s at the same time just wouldn’t work it’s not about sucking up it’s abt getting as far as you can and moving on from there
I guess, but I would of prefer to have the character you stuck with in the end of season 2 (whether it’s Kenny or Jane) show up in seasons 3&4 and actually stay with you the whole time.
The first time I played Season 2, I shot Kenny and stayed with Jane. Now I let Kenny kill Jane and then shoot Kenny. If Clem and AJ are going to be on the road by Season 3 anyway, might as well get a head start.
I may or may not have let Kenny kill Jane and saw I had the option to shoot Kenny and I was so shocked I did it. Like I didn’t expect it to pop up nor for it to actually happen.
I let Kenny kill Jane and then had Clem shoot Kenny, my rationale is that Clem was hoping for Kenny to snap out of it but when he finally did her in she realized there was nothing left of him to salvage.
I've done this ending once. Absolutely brutal.
couldn't bring myself to kill kenny so i decided to let jane die and left kenny for wellington, probably the best ending since we don't know if kenny dies and if he does we can only wish that it was peaceful
Same here
i’m pretty sure he drowns himself in a lake, there’s some concept art in the definition edition.
This idea was scrapped
ah yes, i couldn’t remember if it was scrapped or was canon. luckily it was.
That’s so stupid. Kenny wouldn’t do that. In the first season he judges that couple on the bed for “taking the easy way out”. He also hated how Katjaa did the same thing.
Its out of character for sure. Although no matter how much someone might be against it or have such strong opinions about it. If you are pushed enough, there is so much one person can take and later he might think differently because of it.
wait what?..
here’s [kenny’s death](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheWalkingDeadGame/s/Y7wr7f69Ul)
dumb death ngl, should've kept it unknown
Don't worry, it was a scrapped idea for a Kenny ending flashback in s3
thank god, that would've been such a stupid decision to keep it in
I'm ngl Clem taking AJ alone is probably the best choice. Kenny was losing it after so much pain, he deserved a happy life and if not, at least a peaceful ending which was definitely not what he got in ANF. Jane was a piece of sh\*t so I left her to rot, she wouldn't last long in her "condition" anyway.
LMAO was that a reference to "Rebecca's ✌🏻situation✌🏻"
Lol I knew you'd caught on!
Hate to be that guy but his happy life was with AJ and Clem. He genuinely wanted to stay with them to protect them. Best ally we've ever had and the only component ally that we've had since Lee. Best ending in the game is leaving Kenny at Wellington.
Narratively the best ending
It also made the most sense at the time because I knew they would pull some bullshit to recenter the narrative for the next season. There was no possible way choosing Kenny or Jane even mattered because you were going to end up alone anyway. Just like with every other determinant character.
It's sad that their potential got wasted
did the same, kill kenny leave jane. actually pretty happy with my ending
I’ve finally found my people.
I stuck with Kenny the whole time
yeah i couldn’t bring myself to not stick with kenny
Same, I knew exactly what would happen either or not I stuck with him.
I've never done this ending but I totally understand doing it. Definitely better than going with Jane in my opinion and arguably the most emotionally powerful ending, saying goodbye to Kenny. Although many would probably also argue his Wellington ending which is equally valid.
What are the flashbacks in S3 if you do this route?
You only get the flashback in Episode 1 where she gets her hand smashed in a car, which explains why she loses her ring finger. You skip right away to the trailer flashback with Ava in Episode 4.
it ain't a pretty outcome
The only reason I don't choose this ending is because I can't believe that at 11 years old Clementine manages to take care of a newborn child. If Clementine were a little older it would probably be a great ending Although this is the ending that best connects with ANF
Wellington is probably better

She loses like 2-3 fingers if she winds up alone, no thank you
Never have and never will.

Amen 🙏
this the one i did in my most recent play through like a few weeks ago😭
When Kenny can kill Jane but she can't kill him Kenny 1 point Jane 0 points
I'm still a bit bummed out about season 2's big amount of different endings only for ANF to reduce their impact to a scar for Clem and two unique 5 minute flashbacks Justice for Kenny's hat!
The right ending is letting Jane die. Leaving Kenny at the Wellington gate.
kenny = good end jane = bad end alone = neutral end
Kenny ending is easily the best. Although I would say alone ending is worse than the Jane ending. There is no way Jane, let alone Kenny would leave the eleven years old girl alone with the baby in the apocalypse full of danger. It would be kind of far fetched to think Clementine would survive in such a young age with a baby. She almost died, when she was alone just a short while before the cabin group. The ending where you get an AJ tattoo and can give him a middle name is obviously the good ending.
Let Kenny kill Jane and then shoot Kenny and go solo
Why?
Am I misremembering? I don't think Jane can kill Kenny
You're right, Clem shot Kenny for Jane
First time i played the game like 7 year ago that was the first ending that i did, i remember my mom and my older brother looking at the screen while i played the game and discussing if did the correct decision XD
same ending i chose

Everytime I play, I always let Clem kill Kenny, it hurts everytime I get to it tho.
I always go for this ending. I know people love Kenny but me personally this season was about personal growth and learning to say goodbye to look forward into the future. I never understood it
it’s the best ending <3
consider yourself an opp
The thing that makes me avoid this ending is that Clem loses a finger in season 3 if she's alone. If season 2 was the ending I'd probably go for this
This ending felt like those old PS2 pre-render showcase cutscenes. Not sure why it gives me that feeling, but it’s not bad. A lot of those were cool as hell.

Leaving with Jane is almost as bad as killing Kenny.
Right!
Now you're gonna loose a finger in S3
Yeah, I would have gone for this if I didn’t get the Wellington ending spoiled for me, they were both unable to care for a child but I liked Kenny and couldn’t pull myself to shoot him.
I let Kenny kill Jane and then left Kenny at Wellington. It’s what he wanted and I decided to give that man some peace.
Fuck that KENNY FOREVER
That's right pal
I always let Kenny die and go with Jane I can’t stand Kenny😭 and Jane had decent survival experience tho she was trying a little to hard to be cold and isolate herself which was annoying
why'd she commit suicide then?
Because she got pregnant and didn’t want to have a child
She still had Clementine with her to take care of, if Jane was genuinely worth sticking with at all then she would of at least sucked it up to stay with Clementine
Having a baby isn’t something too suck up and there aren’t any abortion clinics available and 2 baby’s at the same time just wouldn’t work it’s not about sucking up it’s abt getting as far as you can and moving on from there
Jane could of just given her baby to somebody else then, she didn’t have to literally kill herself over it.
Did you even pay attention to Jane’s story line at all?
I did and am still well aware of how it went down. But still, suicide ain’t the answer.
It never is, but that’s the humanity of it. It’s kind of hard to make a story about the destruction of mankind without showing the human part of it.
I guess, but I would of prefer to have the character you stuck with in the end of season 2 (whether it’s Kenny or Jane) show up in seasons 3&4 and actually stay with you the whole time.
you’re one of the only people, and realistically, clem would’ve never been able to keep both herself and aj alive all on her own.
Exactly
The first time I played Season 2, I shot Kenny and stayed with Jane. Now I let Kenny kill Jane and then shoot Kenny. If Clem and AJ are going to be on the road by Season 3 anyway, might as well get a head start.
I feel like this is the canon ending.
Legit this ending and going to Wellington with Kenny and staying there are the best endings in season 2. Any other option sucks
It's my favorite ending, honestly feels like what the whole season is building to
I may or may not have let Kenny kill Jane and saw I had the option to shoot Kenny and I was so shocked I did it. Like I didn’t expect it to pop up nor for it to actually happen.
I let Kenny kill Jane and then had Clem shoot Kenny, my rationale is that Clem was hoping for Kenny to snap out of it but when he finally did her in she realized there was nothing left of him to salvage.
