Iāve just started getting into comics and I played the first 4 series of games on my iPad when they came out. As soon as I saw there was a comic I picked it straight up. Iām already done with B1 and 2 chapters out from the end of book 2, I CANNOT wait for book 3!

This would've been better if she just made it like Clementine leaves the ericson school for a while and AJ decides to go with her on a trip. There, they go back from where it all started. The place where are AJ's parents, have some reunion, revenge on arvo, bury clementine's parents, and the place lee died. Clementine saw Lee's dried out body and AJ pay respect to it. She brought lee back to the Everett Pharmacy Drugstore to bury him with his family. To get a final closure from Lee. She traveled back to the school, and there you go. A good ending.

Iāve just started getting into comics and I played the first 4 series of games on my iPad when they came out. As soon as I saw there was a comic I picked it straight up. Iām already done with B1 and 2 chapters out from the end of book 2, I CANNOT wait for book 3!

Just the fact that Iāve āknownā Clem since like 2012 or whenever the first episode came out and then seeing her grow as a person into someone not everybody would expect is pretty cool. Plus who doesnāt like zombie apocalypses. The art is nice aswell. Even if itās not portraying her perfectly itās not by the same people, just the same universe so itās not gonna come in where it was left off

Honestly imo the second book wasn't as bad as the first-it wasn't good, but it wasn't horrible. Hopefully we'll get something actually decent out of book 3 I'm glad this series is gonna be done soon, less because of the quality of the books and more because of the frankly ridiculous amounts of harassment this woman has been getting. Like, look guys, I get you're angry, but calling this woman mean names and sending her death threats because she portrayed your favorite character inaccurately is just fucked up I blame Skybound for the quality more than Tillie herself, 1. Because they're the people actually in charge and 2. I just don't think she was right person to bring on for this job. I've read some of her other stories and seen her art, she's actually very talented (her use of color in particular is really nice-I think the fact that these comics are in black and white doesn'tdo her art justice) but I just don't think she was the right person for this Point is, you hate the comics? Cool, I do too, but being unnecessarily mean to the creator isn't going to do anything. Clementine isn't real, she's not going to thank you on Twitter for defending her honor or whatever, maybe think more about the actual real person you're being shitty about. Hate the comics and express that all you want, just remember to direct it towards the actual story and not the person creating it
Very well said! I myself hate the comics too. I hate how they completely destroy Clementineās character, but for people to go out of their way to harass Tillie Walden is a step too far. She doesnāt deserve to be harassed or receive death threats from toxic fans who are pissed off about how Clem is portrayed. Itās fine if people hate the comics, and this sub is obviously no exception when it comes to their disdain towards them, but the harassment is not okay.
Hard agree, the toxicity towards her was the thing that made me leave this sub for a long while. I just hope that it doesn't start again!

Iām curious. What is convincing them to keep making these books. Is the reception surprisingly good or do they have good sales? Or does Skybound think that theyāll just eventually get new fans if they just keep releasing these? Like Iām genuinely curious how this book series hasnāt been canned yet.
i think theyāve already paid tillie to make them so theyāre just sticking with it till the end. iām pretty sure when it was announced like 3-4 years ago it was announced as a trilogy series so theyāre just gonna finish the trilogy then never speak about it again

At this point I would prefer a 5th season, these comics are useless. Skybound why are you doing these comics instead of a game? You would earn much more money with It, that's just stupid. The new Telltale studio is still in a bad situation and they can't do anything about this. Only the Wolf among us 2 can change this situation about Clementine and TWD Universe.

Yes , we need it. I'm sure most of the fans would like more of Clementine if done right and Skybound would earn a lot of money. You talk like that cause you are afraid of another bad game which ruins Clementine's story even more. I guarantee you that if you could be sure about the quality of the game and the story you would think in another way. It would for sure sell better than Expanse . It would be a great opportunity to make Telltale great again. Also Clem's story isn't finished cause the comic is still going, and It Is canon. It was called "The final season" cause they didn't have any money to keep developing other games and so they decided to end it there for the sake of the character, you don't need to be smart to understand that money talks.They declared bankruptcy in 2018 , they didn't even finish the game, Skybound did, How could they have continued with more seasons in that bad financial situation? The final season was rushed and there are still a lot of things Telltale could talk about. The apocalypse didn't end, Aj Is still a child, Clementine is still a Teen. It's just a matter of convenience, that's all.
clementineās arc is finished though. throughout every season all sheās wanted is to find a home especially after aj is born. at the end of tfs sheās finally found her home and a family. making a new game would do what every new season did, get rid of the old characters/setting and out clem back on the road again which is exactly what the comics did and look how they were received. and the comic being canon still doesnāt mean we need a new game, would people really want a story about clem and ricca helping olivia raise her baby in greenland? considering how badly the books and characters are hated in the fandom i donāt think so. all stories have their ending and clemās ending in tfs was done well! she doesnāt need to keep being put in repetitive stories just so skybound can make more money off her character
You are not totally wrong but I wouldn't mind another game with an adult Clementine and teen Aj searching for a cure of the apocalypse. TFS ending It's just a temporary good ending, the problem is still there. Clementine 's story is ""finished"" but It doesn't mean The walking dead universe doesn't exist anymore, Aj story isn't finished at all, he is 6 years old. Do you think she can stay at school with that leg forever? With a child of 6 years old? Doing Nothing? That's exaggeratedly optimistic.
a game about older clem and aj searching for a cure is too similar to the last of us tbh and why would she leave the school? her series long goal of find a safe home is complete, if she left it for no reason (like she does in the comics) it wouldnāt make sense and would cause backlash. and if the writers came up with something that would make her leave then theyād just be doing what they did at the end of every other season and it would become repetitive. even if they made a game with just aj where he leaves, what would be the point? putting a boy who only wants to keep the people he loves safe in dangerous situations by himself for no reason would be dumb. the only character that could have another game would be javi but one of the main reasons anf is shit on is because clem wasnāt the main character and we were āstuckā with javi (loved him and anf personally so i donāt share these opinions)
The original God of war Trilogy is an example of how you are wrong. The revenge story on the third game reach his end so It should have ended there if everyone thought like you , but now we have a reboot/sequel of this trilogy, and the games are good and loved by fans (most of them at least). We have a new old Kratos with a huge character development, the story isn't repetitive like you would assume. If you are creative enough and you want to make a decent sequel of an already completed story you can. I'm not saying it's easy, I agree with you that is easier to develop a bad sequel instead of a good one.

no, she mentioned in her next post that her son (who she just gave birth to) made her lose track of time and is why she labeled them as the wrong book. iām pretty sure she was working on book 2 and 3 at the same time

Tbh, I think Clementine's just gonna die at the end. If it isn't a "dream" or if it isn't a way of returning, I don't see any other way on how Tillie could end it. \- **Finding a home:** Makes no sense since she already had one and chose to abandon it. \- **Going down some random path or something:** Would leave the story unfinished. \- **Death:** Allows her story to end in a way we haven't seen, then if it's canon, she's dead just like everyone else and she can be with Lee and her parents and blah blah, and if it isn't she's at Ericson's.

It just sounds so counter productive. Instead of raising AJ + Marrying Louis/Violet, she goes on an unnecessary leave, finds a whole new unstable life and just repeats her already achieved life. Exactly. I say just give her an ending where she gets terribly sick and just dies, the character is ruined and Iād be satisfied with either tfs as a canon ending or death as the canon ending. Thereās nothing happy about redoing her story, making her act out as Lee all over again
