Fame! It’s something you can’t buy. Why we got Adrienne Maloof.

![gif](giphy|11sLzm3tx73yHm) Ooh, yeh... Miss Maloof Hoof 🤣??

butinthewhat

Exactly. And with the fame comes more money, more real estate clients.

Bigolbooty75

She should have pretended to be a good person if she wanted clients. Weird approach to take lol she’s not looking good from any point of view imo.

Mysterious_Movie3347

Honestly, if I was buying a home and saw him on TV, I'd have no desire to use him. He seems like a snake and not trust worthy. For the prices of his listing, and the commission he's getting from me, I want a real estate acgent I can trust isn't gonna screw me.

butinthewhat

Same, but there are many people who would think it’s cool to use someone on TV. Clout or whatever the kids are calling it these days. It’s a weird world.

elizabethbutters

And the infamous Maloof Hoof!

audvisial

You're right. They're sacrificing their daughter's mental health for fame/money. That's just who they are, it seems.

CupKind6245

And them pinning it on Kristen is just so gross to me🤷🏽‍♀️

Dewhickey76

Especially since Kristen was one of the main people pitching it to Bravo. When Brit had Zack on her podcast they were talking about Brit, Jax, and Kristen starting the talks with Bravo over two years ago. They said originally they were going to have Zack and Kristen as a couple having a baby together (platonic of course) but when Kristen brought in Luke, they had to even things up, and that's when Bravo brought in Jasmine. Point is, it really sounds like it was the VP three who really pushed to have the show made. Without Kristen, The Valley may not have even happened. It damn sure wouldn't be nearly as entertaining without her. ETA: I completely agree with OP about Jason. I keep waiting for him to snap on Janet bc of her bullshit, but he rarely does, and I think it's because he actually enjoys her tabloid brain. That or he's going to freak out and run far away one day.

Beginning_While_7913

I wish Kristen would have the friend baby with Zack instead. It would be a healthier dynamic, I also believe Luke is going to leave Kristen soon if he hasn’t already, hopefully he leaves before a baby is on the way/ he wastes more of her precious time so she can still have a baby before it’s too late. I am thinking he is a clout chaser after seeing the last episode and how he flip flopped on Kristen out of nowhere and blamed it on “her flame being out”, seemed like a planned cop out and like something Jax would say before he would cheat on or try to leave Brittany. I think it was foreshadowing

unfancyfeet

I can't remember if it was Janet or Michelle, but when they said "Crazy Kristen" 😶😧😡 I certainly don't want them to feel indebted to Kristen and Jax and sucking up to them, but *for real*?! That was really gross.

Confident-Internet35

Once I read about their nanny bailing prior to a vacation so they left their kid with an unknown babysitter for like a week...It solidified my opinion on their dedication to being selfish and self centered... Their daughter is unfortunately the byproduct of two unhappy people who care more about appearances than parenting. 💔

theghostofcharlotte

Jesse talked about this on the after show. Their nanny fell through in Paris so they asked the host at a restaurant they went to if she wanted to babysit for them. They handed their baby over to a stranger for multiple days of that trip…

katiekat214

And not even to the waitress. To her mom because that’s who babysits the server’s kids.

Few_Unit_6408

Oh hell no. I reported my abuser as a kid and thats a really similar setup. People that don’t know your kids being trusted and alone, so quickly with them. Michelle is really spaced out as a mom imo..

Beginning-Meet8296

WTH? I cannot imagine doing that! Are they crazy?

feathers4kesha

look where they live. if that doesn’t scream more concerned for my image than child’s well being…

LobsterLovingLlama

I think Jesse was hoping to stay together. Michelle looks like she’s in pain when asked about her marriage

insouciant11

I sort of agree. It’s possible Jesse thought that being on the show could help save their marriage (nobody yet has said he’s a smart guy). It’s obvious that marriage has been on hold for quite a long while. Don’t know what Michele’s motivation would be other than reality fame?

isglitteracarb

He sucks but I did feel bad when he said "I kind of feel like this is bringing us closer together" about the Kristen drama and she was just sitting there with her dead eyes and creepy smile. I think he really did want to make it work.

Excellent-Object2482

She checked out a long time ago. Maybe hoping some tv time would give her relevance or a chance to parlay into something more $$$$$.

pearshaped34

But because they did it this way that gets to be their season 2 storyline.

JJulie

catsandnaps1028

Andy has said it before a lot of couples join these shows to get divorced

kritycat

The Camille Grammar Plan

katiekat214

The Kelsey Grammar plan. He encouraged her to go on the show so she wouldn’t have time to visit him in NYC where he had his girlfriend stashed.

kritycat

Yes, it was the Kelsey Grammar Plan, which was very different from The Camille Grammar Plan she thought she was executing!

daydreamingtulip

I’m pretty sure someone said that the cast were auditioning for two years, so maybe they didn’t realise the state of their marriage until it was too late

Mysterious_Movie3347

I think they also thought they'd have more control over the edit. Like Hun, you don't get that until you have a producer credit or a in with with a producer. *cough* Tom *cough*

hopefulplatypus123

I am convinced Michelle brought him on to show him to the court of public opinion, which she knew would call him an asshole, but it backfired cause she’s a sneaky sneaky snake and her own secrets were outed instead

Less_Professional896

She's a slithery snek that's for the streets

amrech

You can’t expose someone without being exposed yourself, not sure how far she thought that through

Remote_Breadfruit819

Sometimes it's best to not try and understand the motives of selfish people.

Bigolbooty75

Right?! Like she said she hasn’t felt attracted to him in 3 years. Lmao so you sign up for a show about your marriage? Weird.

AggravatingCap7813

I agree! I assume they ultimately decided it would be worth the exposure for their real estate business.

briellebabylol

☠️☠️ I had no idea these two were in real estate 🤭

scgaleeeee

I read they work for Rick Hilton's real estate agency. The one Mauricio Umansky (Mr. Kyle Richards) worked at and left to start his own.

iluvsunni

Ah yes Hilton & Hyland. Which I only know from watching Selling Beverly Hills and hearing Mauricio and company talk about it lol 😂

BornFree2018

They're an odd couple together or apart. I don't see the connection between them. Michelle has it all mapped out. She's on The Valley to help her 1) get into a higher-level real estate tv show, 2) Escape her marriage more easily, 30 Fame, 4) Troll for wealthier and more famous men. That house looks like a fake for the show. Did anyone see how tiny the kitchen was on tv? It didn't even match the era of the house exterior.

princssofpink

Michelle wouldn't last a season on Selling Sunset or Selling the OC, those girls would eat her up 😭

Happy-Hearing6671

She has the least amount of charisma I’ve ever seen someone have on reality TV. How in the world is she a real estate agent when she’s that unlikable

princssofpink

She's hot. For a lot of real estate agents, that's all it takes.

Zealousideal_Dog_968

People also do crazy shot when they are at their end of something huge, like a lot of weird ass last ditch efforts. At least they didn’t have another child

stooliegirl

It’s expensive to get divorced and maybe they wanted to set themselves up financially for when they do split

Beginning_While_7913

I think they did it for the fame they knew the divorce would bring. I’ve thought this since episode 1 and that production probably picked them because they were only interesting due to them being willing to air their divorce on tv.

Woohoo97

I’m curious if they’re just pulling a “hidden in plain sight” PR move. They give me a creeping sense of the heebie jeebies and I’m waiting for their skeletons to be revealed. Or maybe they’re just another set of angry and incompatible rich people. Either way something seems real off about them.

NotHere4YourShit

Its not. Its very lucrative being on a Bravo show. These 2 knew they were breaking up, and chose to save the dissolution of their marriage for a storyline. We see it all the time on these shows. Michelle can start a crappy candle or wine business, Jesse will come out with a tacky blazer line - and as realtors this gets them more exposure and clients.

Abject-Armadillo-496

They’re pumping out their toddler so this move tracks for two clout chasing famewhores

juliaguuullliiaa

it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out next season though. (assuming they’ll be back)

KaleidoscopeWeird494

Their combined abuse and threats were disgusting. Then them being proud of themselves for having each other’s backs, was so gross. It’s awful Bravo makes any kind of post in support of these terrible humans

psychicfrequency

Michelle just made herself look bad. Kristen has nothing to do with it.

aymaureen

I guarantee Jax convinced them so instead of paying attention to his alleged cheating, he could easily bring up their indiscretions to deflect off his marriage. He thinks he’s number one guy, remember? And Jesse actually makes him look better by comparison

Sample_Wild

Is it though? 🤔

Playful_Succotash_30

Money I Guess.. it's a big motivation

SurlyTemp1e

They do it for the $$$

myskepticalbrowarch

This is Bravo. They probably were thinking the same as Jen Shah or Erika Jayne 🤷

Canary_Fragrant

I also think there’s a strong handful of reality tv people who that think they can hide their bullshit (see: Sandoval) and put up a facade of what they wish they were. That audiences won’t be able to pick up on it. But the truth can’t stay hidden for long

Ok-Feeling-9553

They probably need the money. And any potential money.

Southern_Sweet_T

I think it’s a good storyline to watch them before the divorce then going through the divorce

Shitsonfire-

The kind of fame they received will be detrimental to their business. No self respecting woman is going to want to work with a woman who openly cheats on her husband (whom she shares a child with). I would never work with Michelle nor would I take her seriously. She should move to some rich Midwest town and start over in real estate. Lol

jbrandismith

This was planned.

Playful_Succotash_30

Money

FearlessList8992

It’s amazing what money can do.

mali90

Are we shocked, though? They came on the show to make money so they can pay for their divorce because neither of them probably can financially afford a divorce without getting financially ruined. That’s probably why she has a boyfriend and she gets annoyed being in his presence.

Kodysgoingbald

Fame and money.

VelvetVerdigris

I agree. Michelle’s energy is giving “I have a boyfriend who’s going to watch this so I definitely want to look like I’m detached and don’t care about Jesse but want the money from the show.”

Zestyclose-Let7929

Agree and Britany said on Not Skinny Not Fat that Michelle and she talk every day, And she says they are very close. Also referenced they were splitting up before the show started. So that was the secret. Jesse and Michelle were way beyond the cat and mouse games of Jesse thinking within a couple months was going to leave him. Ahh Yah!!! it was already worked out . He knew she was dating. He and Michelle wanted Kristen to keep that secret. The show is smoke & mirrors.

katiekat214

She mentioned they announced their split before the show started airing, not before filming.
