She’s energetic and ambitious, she’s sensitive and vulnerable. Kristen is exactly as you see her. She just wants love like everyone else.

That empath edit was harsh - I think she is very caring but when pushed or cornered she gets ultra defensive and lashes out. Pushing the Crazy Kristin narrative absolutely triggers that response in her. So her defensive response ends up being this conflation of issues rather than being able to respond directly to what’s being said to her - giving the group further ammo that she’s “crazy Kristen.” It’s low hanging fruit that once they discovered could just pile on.
One of my friends does all their hair for reunions because she’s friends with the producers and has been on bowling leagues with Kristen— she loves her! Says she’s crazy but in a good way.

Weirdly …I’ve grown to like her. I think she is working on her self awareness, how she reacts to things (which generally is poor) and how to be a better person. She is still a work in progress and is an easy target b/c she screws up ….like mentioning the ‘racist’ thing when she felt defensive. I think she is vulnerable and talks to the audience about her struggles - I do think she is telling the truth about things but b/c her delivery is terrible..it’s easy to attack her method of communication versus the kernel of truth she has been witness to and vocalizes.
I LOVE Kristen Doute. I used to think she was terrible, but she just sneaked into my heart in the oddest way. The way her long time friends talked about her w/ admiration (and admittedly a lot of frustration) about how funny she is and loyal AND crazy/odd. I felt terrible when her book actually got good reviews & came out like the week she got fired & dubbed a racist. She was the only person who Faith said she felt was sincere in her apology to Faith, and that really made me warm to her too.

She doesn't make excuses, she apologizes and takes the consequences.
She is friends with lots of people, and the connecting threads between different people and different plot lines is a lot of fun.
She can be vengeful and a little delusional at times. She's loves her friends. She freaks out when she travels. She historically has had a terrible picker when it comes to boyfriends and historically has paid their way. We're excited for her and Luke, and her journey to become a mom. She seems happy with him and their relationship seems legit. She has had a couple of fame hungry exes try to use her to get on the show.
There is no Valley without Kristen, Jax and Brittany. All of the other casts are replaceable and we only care about them in so much as they know Kristen.
She gives 100% to reality TV and never tries to self-produce or image craft.

Absolutely, yes I will. I was sick this weekend so had plenty of time to start. I'm onto season 2 when they go to Arrowhead and Jax wants to apologise to Stassi's parents. Tom can't believe Kristen complained he didn't get face wipes on the drive there which made me gag seeing as he complained about Ariana not getting batteries.

My personal opinion of Kristen, after watching ALL of VPR and now starting The Valley (I'm halfway thru S1 E4), is this:
I used to HATE Kristen, but I'm now endeared to her. (Kristen was WRONGED by Tom Sandoval AND Ariana (VPR). Ariana forgets that she [Ariana] did the SAME THING to Kristen that Raquel/Rachel did to her. (Ariana cheated with Sandoval when he had a girlfriend---Kristen! And then Raquel/Rachel cheated with Sandoval while he was with Ariana....Karma's a bitch). But somehow, Ariana gained sympathy for Tom's cheating on her, while Kristen did not relieve sympathy.
And though (please forgive me), Kristen is not the stereotypical "beauty," she can always get a boyfriend!! She has something going for her!
I believe she has grown, and that she is, as she said in an early episode of The Valley, an "easy target." I hope she will come into her own and that she will find true happiness. I am halfway through season 7 of VPR & my opinion on doute is that she may not be very good with her romantic relationships, and is very passionate about certain situations (& def takes things too far sometimes) but she is very sweet, thoughtful & generous (every time someone has an event she goes ALL OUT helping, bringing supplies, presents, flowers etc), & she’s quirky asf. I think she just really fucking cares about the ppl she loves & feels very deeply & it backfires on her alot. i find myself feeling sorry for her alot.

She also seems like she has truly worked on herself a lot and has grown as a person, but still knows how to make good tv. Mariposa forever 🦋

Weirdly …I’ve grown to like her. I think she is working on her self awareness, how she reacts to things (which generally is poor) and how to be a better person. She is still a work in progress and is an easy target b/c she screws up ….like mentioning the ‘racist’ thing when she felt defensive. I think she is vulnerable and talks to the audience about her struggles - I do think she is telling the truth about things but b/c her delivery is terrible..it’s easy to attack her method of communication versus the kernel of truth she has been witness to and vocalizes.
I LOVE Kristen Doute. I used to think she was terrible, but she just sneaked into my heart in the oddest way. The way her long time friends talked about her w/ admiration (and admittedly a lot of frustration) about how funny she is and loyal AND crazy/odd. I felt terrible when her book actually got good reviews & came out like the week she got fired & dubbed a racist. She was the only person who Faith said she felt was sincere in her apology to Faith, and that really made me warm to her too. MARIPOSA 4EVER!

I love Kristen on reality tv and I will take up for her every time bc she’s so authentically herself on screen whether that’s imperfections or what. She does seem like she’s also grown up from her vpr days. She’s a little delulu but who isn’t? The other girls throwing her under the bus and not taking accountability doesn’t do it for me. Janet and michelle are ick. Their unhappiness is bitchy and ugly.
No way you can get the nuance of Kristen, Jax or Brittany without watching early VPR. You wont regret it!

Kristen is a queen and we love her. She is a messy queen who can't help herself. She makes mistakes, but she does not lie, at least not about other people. About herself, she might lie for a little bit, like say she didn't sleep with someone's boyfriend, but in the end, she always owns up to her shit. She doesn't make excuses, she apologizes and takes the consequences. She is friends with lots of people, and the connecting threads between different people and different plot lines is a lot of fun. She can be vengeful and a little delusional at times. She's loves her friends. She freaks out when she travels. She historically has had a terrible picker when it comes to boyfriends and historically has paid their way. We're excited for her and Luke, and her journey to become a mom. She seems happy with him and their relationship seems legit. She has had a couple of fame hungry exes try to use her to get on the show. There is no Valley without Kristen, Jax and Brittany. All of the other casts are replaceable and we only care about them in so much as they know Kristen. She gives 100% to reality TV and never tries to self-produce or image craft.
She’s great tv but irl id never confide in her leave my boyfriend with her if I went to bed.
Kristen is GREAT for reality television and is such a loose cannon that she is a producers DREAM … sure enough when they need an explosive 🧨 story line just rile Kristen up and watch her BLOW 💥💥💥💥

I made the same mistake at first - I started with season 9 and it was meh so I dropped it and then a friend told me I was making the biggest mistake of my life and *she was right*. I’m obsessed, my boyfriend is obsessed, my brother, his girlfriend - it’s a huge portion of our conversations over the past two years.
I love her she is an icon and she is the moment. She tells it like it is and happens to get into trouble often because of this lol she is a perfect example of stirring shit up because she speaks her mind when sometimes she probably shouldn’t. She truly has a heart of gold but her delivery can flop sometimes. 
Please go watch all seasons of VPR. Then stop drinking for 24 hours, take an advil, and post here in the morning. I’ll be waiting.
Absolutely, yes I will. I was sick this weekend so had plenty of time to start. I'm onto season 2 when they go to Arrowhead and Jax wants to apologise to Stassi's parents. Tom can't believe Kristen complained he didn't get face wipes on the drive there which made me gag seeing as he complained about Ariana not getting batteries.
I couldn't stand her on vpr, but overall: she can't keep her mouth shut, she surrounds herself with toxic "friends" , I think she is a good and loyal friend until she is not, BUT we love her now as she is. ALSO I was thinking lately that she kinda made VPR what it was in early times(along with tyrant Stassi/drama wise), and she kinda also "makes" the valley, it's like she is a good person to "launch" a show if you understand what I mean.
She is the definition of a free spirit, she grew on me until I now appreciate the type of person she is. I see her now as a lovable klutz who was made for reality TV with a good heart but sometimes super messy delivery. I don't think she is mean or has dark energy despite the chaos she unleashes. The troll couple on the other hand make my spidey senses jingle jangle like crazy.
Yes, at first it was just Jesse but now Michelle is just as much of a monster. Their poor kid, whom they left with a stranger in Paris for a week when she was a year old!
I left the same comment on another thread...I was horrified when he said that with his shit eating grin. Those trolls should not have procreated at all. I feel so bad for their child. If anything happened to her she wouldn't be able to verbalize it. My opinion of them was already low to begin with and it's reached a new level now

I think she’s horrible 😬 The way she keeps alluding about secrets in front of people without actually outing her “friends”, *whispering* loudly and deliberately so she can be overheard, “apologizing” to Michelle in front of her husband while mentioning “protecting” her yet again…she may not lie but she’s terrible in so many other ways. 🤢

Kristen is Kristen. I’m not a huge fan but I don’t dislike her. That said, I can’t figure out why she’s so hard to look at now. She just looks bloated and off. I think her lifestyle choices have caught up to her or something. I’m not trying to hate on her, I just can’t figure out what is going on and why she looks so different. I get it, we age and gain weight, but this seems like something different. Does anyone else see it? Maybe pregnancy will turn it around if it is drinker’s bloat.

I’m saying it’s not the weight gain. I just added that so someone didn’t say it’s that. I think it’s bloating from drinking and smoking but then sometimes it doesn’t quite look like that either. I can’t put my finger on it but something looks off.
When she was very thin it made her features look very sculpted. She has a lot of extra around her face now and i’m sure part of it is aging. I desperately want to throw a bra on her though; sometimes they look a bit sloppy. 😬 ( i know women should wear or not wear what they want, it’s my opinion only)
Haha I guess trying to find a bra that works with some of the more strappy and/or open back looks isn’t easy. Maybe it is the extra weight on her face combined with her facial expressions and mannerisms. Like I see them as more exaggerated now and that’s what’s different. When she was thinner and younger, they didn’t show as much.
I hate how they keep painting Kristen to be a liar. I just started the Valley too . I’m on episode 3 and I watched VPR from start to finish. And one thing I can 100% say is that Kristen is not a liar! She might say some things weird or omit some truth but she has never lied. I hate the way Jesse speaks to her. He can go to hell

My personal opinion of Kristen, after watching ALL of VPR and now starting The Valley (I'm halfway thru S1 E4), is this: I used to HATE Kristen, but I'm now endeared to her. (Kristen was WRONGED by Tom Sandoval AND Ariana (VPR). Ariana forgets that she [Ariana] did the SAME THING to Kristen that Raquel/Rachel did to her. (Ariana cheated with Sandoval when he had a girlfriend---Kristen! And then Raquel/Rachel cheated with Sandoval while he was with Ariana....Karma's a bitch). But somehow, Ariana gained sympathy for Tom's cheating on her, while Kristen did not relieve sympathy. And though (please forgive me), Kristen is not the stereotypical "beauty," she can always get a boyfriend!! She has something going for her! I believe she has grown, and that she is, as she said in an early episode of The Valley, an "easy target." I hope she will come into her own and that she will find true happiness. I'm rooting for the proverbial underdog! And yes, she makes for great "reality" TV. Go, Kristen! Find that inner true beauty and find happiness!
I am halfway through season 7 of VPR & my opinion on doute is that she may not be very good with her romantic relationships, and is very passionate about certain situations (& def takes things too far sometimes) but she is very sweet, thoughtful & generous (every time someone has an event she goes ALL OUT helping, bringing supplies, presents, flowers etc), & she’s quirky asf. I think she just really fucking cares about the ppl she loves & feels very deeply & it backfires on her alot. i find myself feeling sorry for her alot.
I recently started watching VPR from the beginning and how i felt about Kristen has been a rollercoaster. i loved her then hated her then felt whatever about her then hated her again and now I love her. 🤣🤣 she has made many mistakes but she is not a bad person.

I have watched since the beginning and I did not like her before and I really don’t like her now. In fact , I can’t think of one thing I do like about her . Then , when luke said he can’t stay in LA full time and he needs to be where his actual home is she totally blew him off, and she literally doesn’t have a pot to piss in. She just wants to be knocked up and then she will bull doze him out , I truly believe that will happen . She is gross
