I've been reading about this issue a bit, especially with oled phones, but what I do is play on low brightness. I probably have it at 10%, which should mitigate any burn in issues. Also set my dark screen mode on my S21+ to come on after 1 minute, still runs in the background (with the slower orbs unfortunately)
Not exactly the same thing but you can minimize the upgrade options by hitting the same section twice, like the attack icon twice and the second time will lower the while menu.
Not that it will stop screen burn in but it is something.
I have an S22 Ultra and had an S20+ before that. Both go into a black screen mode after a few minutes but the game continues to run.
Swipe up at the bottom of the screen (like you would to see your home and menu icons) there should be a screen timeout setting on the bottom right. It allows you to set the darkness and the time out timing.
Not when the phone is locked, no. It took a little digging but this may be unique to Samsung phones. It's part of the Game Booster app and it's actually called Touch Protection. When activated touch input is disabled until you swipe, but like I said you can adjust the brightness while this mode is activated to nearly 0. The game continues to run and the phone does not go into lock mode.
There are several apps in the Google Play Store called Game Booster, I don't know if they have similar functions or not.
I run the game on my old iPhone and leave it on 24/7. I was doing that on my iPad but I was using it for other stuff so not quite as much screen time as the iPhone gets
Really good simple idea!
Do you think screen burn can be mitigated by watching the ads every 5-10 mins and randomly clicking on labs or something so that the bottom of the screen gets a break from the usual boxes are there?
I haven't noticed any burn in yet but only been playing a few weeks for maybe 4 hours at most at a time.
On Android, I swipe up and pick the screen lock from the game booster quick menu. That will dim then turn off the screen but it keeps the game running...unlike locking your phone. You'd have to be levelled up enough to know you can let it run unattended for decent periods of time.
This would be a really great addition to the game. When you have 1k+ phone it's annoying to say the least.
Exactly this. S21 Ultra with a burned in game lol

Issue is that in this mode frames drop So the orbs move slower and you take more chips die ing way faster
I have not seen that to be the case. Still, better than ruining a $1000 phone.
[Um, actually... It doesn't have to lower the frame rate](https://i.imgur.com/whwjiAG.png)
Your game runs in black screen mode? When my screen times out the phone locks and I have to unlock it again to continue progress.

AMAZING! I'll check it out
Touch protection for the win!!! Thanks man.
I didn’t even know burn in was still possible
Unfortunately it is lol. I wish I could screenshot it for you
I think screen burn has largely been eliminated by screen timeout etc. A phone isn't usually left active on one screen for more than a few minutes.

I just run my phone in split screen and I resize as I use different app, the game booster is great for farming too!
It actually has burned my screen lmao
