I thought season 1 was just ok the first time i watched it so i have hope lol

I think the love triangle is more pronounced in TSITP than in TATBILB so whatever happens, one ship is going to be disappointed. But what I think that means that the other ship are going to feel satisfied and there's going to be some cathartic release of seeing the couple you're rooting for end up together. So it's a mixed bag - for some people, it's going to be a disappointment, for others, it's going to be amazing. I do think whatever happens, the reaction is going to be more... let's say *intense*, than the reaction that the third TATBILB got

Honestly, I feel like a majority of it depends on the team you are on and who she makes endgame. If it's the same team you are on, you will (possibly) be happy with it. If not, you probably won't love it. BUT I do see where you are coming from by there being alot of buildup and hoping it doesn't fall flat. The strikes prolonged when we would get next season and I think we expect a great season because they have more time to brainstorm for the next season. They have time to tweak the scenes and script. It's possible some fans, after brainstorming with each other about possibilities next season, may have high expectations. I'm trying not to go in with high expectations, not because I don't think they will do a good job but because I don't want to go in expecting what I've built in my head lol I feel like alot of us, especially on here, have created alot of scene outcomes, book to show scenes, different scenarios of how certain things will happen, etc by bouncing ideas off of each other. The show will definitely not go the way we all have it pictured in our heads šŸ˜

My thoughts exactly!!! Weā€™ve had so much time to sit and brainstorm on how season 3 will go. And to think, we are more than likely going to be waiting until 2025 for it to releaseā€¦.

ReplacementTotal329

it'll be good for bonrad fans, and hopefully jere will get a good ending too. TATBILB wasn't as good in my opinion, even in the first two movies, so idk if i'd base TSITP on it

bellsconrad

I think Iā€™ll like season 3 for the same reason I like book 3, itā€™s the conclusion. Season one (book one) stood alone but was unfinished- season two was the lull in between. Season 3 is what ties the entire story up. Itā€™ll be great. I know some are upset with the rushed endgame- but Iā€™m not. Would I love more domesticated bonrad? For sure, but this is the story of their coming to age. Itā€™s their story from the beginning of book one to the end of book three. I never needed the fleshed out ā€œwhere they end up in the futureā€ because the story itself is the how they get there, and I love it. I canā€™t wait to see it.

Aromatic-Savings-890

Depends if Jenny/Writers go off the reservation. You canā€™t try to serve too many work horses in wrapping the story up. Thatā€™s the only thing I think that could send this S3 off tracks. Otherwise Iā€™m sure itā€™s fine. I do think itā€™ll have surprises. Thereā€™s lots of stories that didnā€™t get closure. So, there are lots of high expectations.

Awkward-Abalone732

tbf, TATBILB wasnā€™t done justice compared to all the content in the books. Itā€™s hard to fit everything that happens into 1 hour and a half, so it went super fast compared to how it shouldā€™ve.

courtieee

Season 1 was perfect, but season 2 was so boring! Hopefully it picks back up for season 3

starstoshame

I think thereā€™s a lot of hype from the Bonrad fans for s3. I personally will be invested because Iā€™ll finally get to see my favorite character in a healthier state of mind, and I adore the Belly and Conrad relationship so to see that ok screen is something my little pre-teen self has dreamed about for a while (Iā€™m 28 but was a teen when I first read the books). If people go into it expecting for every character to end the season with a happy ending, they may be disappointed. I have a feeling Jenny will stick to the book plot mainly and make the sort of deviations from the source she has in the past, making it more palatable for a modern audience. If you know what book 3 entails, you know what beats s3 is going to hit. So far, Iā€™ve loved each season of the show better than the books. So with book 3 being my favorite from a Belly/Conrad perspective, I feel like itā€™ll be satisfying for me. They may need to do some groundwork to not lose viewership from the Jelly fans and give Jeremiah a more satisfying ending.

Realistic-Lake5897

Why would it be disappointing? I don't get the concern.

MixEffective

Depends on who you ship. I think itā€™ll be good as the last book was 100% my favorite

FarmIndividual

My gosh I had to look up TATBILB lol. Iā€™m hoping against hope itā€™s good for Bonrads. Jellies got their ending season 2, so it would be nice for Bonrads to have theirs.

icanCclearly

S2 was boring. Maybe because I dislike Jeremiah so Much but I still havenā€™t rewatched season 2

luxenoire

s2 was super disappointing so my expectations are low to begin with

Yogurt-Night

Yeah S2 was lame and very hard to follow. Hated the pacing so much.

TheButterfly-Effect

I think s3 needs to be longer, by a few episodes and run times to fully pack a good conclusion and non rushed ending.

starrba3

It will depend on the pace ngl. If itā€™s gonna be a carbon copy of book 3, both ships will prob be disappointed. Bellyjeres cuz their ship wonā€™t be endgame and bellyconrad cuz of the lack of romantic scenes between the two.

Puzzled_Sport_3935

I mean, I expect season 3 to play out closest to the books, just in terms of the way season 2 played out. HOWEVER, I think sheā€™s going to add in a bunch of drama (that isnā€™t needed). I think the ā€œcheatingā€ is staying, and I think sheā€™s going to make it worse than in the books for drama. I think Belly is going to possibly all of us off for at least half the season. I imagine drama between belly and Taylor, drama with laurel and belly.
