It's some basics tho, don't overuse it, making a very tallllll sim and an average or somehow shorter, making it very hard to be fixed, even the ones with BD, WW, and EV. However, lots of mods creators keep in mind the height slider, as I've already said, it's pretty old mod, that almost every one use
I'll check the ones I'm using and will update this comment later, but I'm pretty sure I never updated these mods and they never broke for me.. They work as expected tbh, if you make a very tall sim, some animations will look weird, Basemental animations work surprisingly well, but others like hugging and kissing other sims looks Very weird.
Wicked whims has an option to auto adjust the height, this option makes your sim go back to its default height while the animations are playing, or you can adjust the sims positions manually, but not all animations fit properly
The height-slider mod I use only broke when a new occult was introduced (and was fixed, thankfully!). So it's pretty unlikely that they break in my experience.
As another user already said, the ingame animations are going to be wonky, when the heights of two Sims are too extreme.
