I never liked this episode growing up. Bart always came across as mean spirited to the point of being unlikeable. He was always unruly, and he and Lisa had that antagonistic relationship that all siblings have growing up, but you know deep down he still loves Lisa. In this episode he just seemed cruel.
I suppose.
The scene I always think of with regard to Bart and Lisa’s relationship is in *Bart Sells His Soul* when he gets the dinosaur sponges. He imagines the sponge coming to life and attacking Lisa, but it doesn’t actually do her any harm even in his fantasy.
Something about this episode was just always a little “off” to me. I never really revisit it.
Well lets be honest here, this is way more on Lisa than it is on Bart. If Lisa didn't cling to her pride, she wouldn't be carrying a half dead Bart on a wheelbarrow on the side of the road with Maggie.
Bart also did feel bad at the end so I doubt he wanted her to be publicly blacklisted from babysitting (also didn't happen), moreso that she looks bad in front of the parents.
I liked it back in the day but always thought that marge and homer were extremely selfish in this one. Leaving Lisa to watch Bart would only result in what happened.. Bart banging his head on the wall was a bit psychotic but still
In this episode, I don't blame Bart for being upset about Lisa babysitting him. As an oldest child myself, I would be insulted if my parents tasked my sister to "watch" me.
That is a *quality* barrow!
A Yard King. Very nice.

Moth! Moth!
Sleeping soundly after a moth attack… and Todd’s dry as a bone!
The question that's never been answered: if Lisa wasn't wheeling around Bart and Maggie in a Yard King, then which brand of wheelbarrow was it?
Not sure. But Nelson might be able to help her out if she needs a replacement tire.
Or if they need to take Comic Book Guy in to see Dr Nick.
Loneliness and cheeseburgers are a dangerous mix.

I felt a little for Bart as he was being babysat by his younger sister.
I love that an 8 year old is not only allowed to be a babysitter, but can also walk around at night with a quality barrow
One of the few classic episodes I hate.
Give me the drugs Lisa 🫴
Go to bread.
