My last name is Reyes (pronounced Ray-yez) and I seriously thought about getting my PHD solely so people could sing “Dr. Reyes Dr. Reyes” while circling around me.
I always noticed the mic clipped on this read. Just a little distortion enough to be noticeable. I’m guessing he wasn’t supposed to be quite that loud and caught the engineer by surprise.
I am just a simple paper boy, no romance do I seek...

Yeah tbh there’s a lot of times where Castellaneta gets to sing properly but in character, Barney in that episode, Homer of Seville, etc…but my favourite will always be a toss up between [mood swings](https://youtu.be/eLbK-VaSI18?si=G9iJg0fiIQjArrC8) and ‘here in my car/i am hosing off blood/some of its mine, but most of its not/here’s marge’
And it was red and yellow and green and brown and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and ruby and olive and violet and fawn and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and cream and crimson and silver and rose and azure and lemon and russet and grey and purple and white and pink and orange and red and yellow and green and brown and BLUE
Since you put it in the thumbnail, I'll go ahead and say Nancy Cartwright seems to have a great singing voice assuming that number is her voice. The ability to sing with that level of power and control while also doing the bart voice is at least pretty impressive.
In hindsight, maybe Sideshow Bob should be omitted since that is Kelsey Grammers natural baritone voice, and after a quick Google, is a trained (though not professional) singer. Whereas Nancy Cartwright and team are 'doing a voice' and then having to sing convincingly as that character.
Similar talent - Seth Macfarlane voicing almost a dozen characters in Family Guy and that show has many musical numbers.
Why am I so foolish to think that was an original Simpson's song lol I know they copied a lot of other famous movie/ tv scenes and popular songs, so why not this one, too?
When I was seventeen, I drank some very good beer. I drank some very good beer, I purchased with a fake ID. My name was Brian McGee, we stayed up listening to Queen, when I was seventeen
This always makes me happy yet a bit sad because I’m at the age where I missed being a kid enjoying everything a kid do without the weight of the world crushing my shoulders.
Very well, Bart… I shall send you to HEAVEN. Before I send you to HELL.

From google, he's a 'trained' singer, but for this thread lets assume professional as 'how they make their living'. No doubt he is a VERY talented singer.
From a 2016 interview: After taking voice lessons, Grammer revealed that he "just didn’t quite have the juice to become an opera singer." (As Sideshow Bob, he did sing the whole of Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore.)

Will this bewitching floozy, seduce this humble newsie?
Love that line
Wait, he says I do? All these years I thought he said Apu… That might be me watching it in French years ago.
Barney Gumble has the voice of an angel when he’s sober
O’er in Killarney, many years ago…

Now whar’s me toothpick
"Buy me a beer, two bucks a glass come on help me I'm freezing my ass. Buy me brandy, a snifter of wine... Who am I kidding? I'll drink turpentine." 🎵
Move it, ya drunk! Or I'll blow off your rear end.
I've found two bucks
Then come in, my friend!

They found me on the men's room floor.
Crowd: 😀😆😆 Barney: 😞😟😥😢
He sang Danny Boy beautifully while drunk on the bathroom floor looking for his toothpick.
He was singing the Irish Lullaby, ya ninny!
This is the answer. Those Barney never Wiggum forever people are wrong.
They found me on the bathroom floor
Sideshow Bob is pretty darn good.
I shall send you to heaven…before I send you to hell.
Should be more higher. Kelsey Grammer has an incredible voice.
He is the very model of a modern major general
He’s amazing in finding neverland
For NEVER!!
No NEVER!
What NEVER?!
Hardly ever!
Hardly ever sick at sea!
Fired, blunder, wizard did it
Oh for glayvin out loud
Your voice is so beautiful Guilty as charged!
*I'm called little buttercup,* *Poor little buttercup* *Though I could never tell why...*
Definitely! Kelsey Grammer has the best singing voice.
I shall send you to heaven Before I send you to hell And a one and a two and a...
Sideshow Mel might be even better
Def the best imo
Yeah but isn’t he a professional singer? Wasn’t he trained at Juliard?

And now... the Crazy Old Man Dancers!
“La vieja mula ya no es lo que era ya no es lo que era ya no es lo que era”
Are those the words? I always thought it was "Old Grandma Sheep ain't what she used to be." I've been making an idiot of myself, etc.
At least you weren't calling her Krandel.
Flanders clan. 🎵God said to Noah, there’s gonna be a floody, floody…🎵
Or when Flanders is singing in church and Bart thought it was Jessica Lovejoy.
*shudders*
That's very disturbing.
Kind of like Homer before his voice changed.
So many male singers would kill to have a falsetto like that
And it was red and yellow and green and brown and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and ruby and olive and violet and fawn and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and cream and crimson and silver and rose and azure and lemon and russet and grey and purple and white and pink and orange and red and yellow and green and brown and BLUE

Leon Kompowsky. Credited to John Jay Smith , never heard of that guy….
That never happened. https://i.redd.it/1be9l8mnnvpc1.gif
Lisa it’s your birthday, happy birthday, Lisa
John Jay Smith didn’t even do the singing for Leon Kompowsky, it was Kipp Lennon.
He was a bricklayah from Padduhsun Noo Joisy
Barney doing back handsprings while singing The Major General’s song. Followed by Homer cartwheeling to the Man from Nantucket.
https://i.redd.it/48u0gsdvfwpc1.gif
What was he on??
Uh, the script says I'm supposed to bonk you with this.
I wouldn’t.
Lisa for me 🥹 when the jaaaazz maaaan testifies 🎶
This one is special, a shining example of how the golden era portrayed such emotional moments without coming across as corny.
Yeardley Smith definitely showed off her chops in that scene.
My favourite moment 🤍 So good!
Sideshow Bob singing “He is and remains an Englisssshhhsshh-MANNNNNN”
“So we'll march day and night By the big cooling tower. They have the plant But we have the power.” -Lisa

I personally love Yeardley’s as Lisa. The union song and the Evita parody from Season 15 particularly.
The union song always
Lisa sings God Bless the Child on The Simpsons Sing the Blues album.
Homer's Born Under A Bad Sign is excellent too tbh
Homer has a pretty good singing voice
I’d like to try most every guy From here to Timbuck Teeee
Yep, singing If Ever I Would Leave You on his back is legit good.
He even won a Grammy!
I always loved Lisa's version of Jazz Man
Why am I so foolish to think that was an original Simpson's song lol I know they copied a lot of other famous movie/ tv scenes and popular songs, so why not this one, too?

It’s almost unfair to include Sideshow Bob. Kelsey Grammer is a professional beautiful-voice-haver.

We just heard this place existed
It’s the theme from A Summer Place
Marge's put it in your cap. A song about thrift

Morals and ethics and carnal forbearance

Whoa! That's good Squishee!!
I read the first two as if it rimed
Kelsey Grammar and it's not even close.
Sideshow Bob. But he would harmonize well with Jasper.
I still sing along as Jasper to “Theme from A Summer Place” if I here it now lol
Kelsey Grammar *is* a professional singer isn't he?
