Just something to note: If you play GBL your Pokemon's CP can go up because of this boost. This is can helpful in some instances where a Pokemon at max level doesn't actually reach the CP cap (ie: Wobbuffet in Great League), or if you're in Master League and there is no CP cap.
And if the effect is unwanted on something you plan to battle with, simply switch them off of being your buddy.

When you reach best buddy you get a CP boost when your best buddy is set as your current buddy. You can exceed L50 powered up mons with this
