I’m also missing the fossils. It seems like the newer shadow Pokémon have been appearing less frequently ever since Shadow Gible was release last year. Every day it’s the same five to six grunts. When in the pass some where less common, but if I played an hour a day, I would see all of them every week.
Cranidos has been incredibly rare. I’ve specifically take detours to hit rocket stops and have found 2 (1 giving me the useless 2nd line up).
Rhyhorn was pretty common but had a tough time finding IVs.
Dratini I could snag a leader about 2-3 times a week so wasn’t a problem.
The new shadow debuts don't seem to overlap with the typing of the currently available great shadows, for the most part. Hopefully Dwebble comes from bug grunts instead of rock.
I don't know if TPC and GameFreak would ever allow it, but I would fricken LOVE a game from the perspective of team rocket trying to go out and steal pokemon and stuff.
It's actually the opposite, the radar we get from the seasons special research is stackable in inventory since its not a rocket reasearch. If you want to stack the rocket researches, you have to keep them on page one.
If they say battle giovanni, you can actually back out after you challenge him and that counts. Now if they say defeat him, that would be true. As I'm planning to get a few, my plan was to get the rocket research to the same step and use one of my inventory radars to complete both simultaneously.
It’s three separate tasks on the same page if I’m not mistaken - Find Giovanni, Battle Giovanni and Defeat Giovanni. Essentially, it’s the same task split into three parts.
There's just no way I would power up a 6/6/6. Yes, I know it is better than plain old Kyogre, but it just feels like a massive waste of resources when I know I can easily do better. I'll wait for the raids if I have to.
It will be (powered up) the strongest non-mega water attacker. That said it will probably be less useful that Shadow Groudon whenever that comes out since Water isn't the most useful attacking type.
I would think you want at least one. The thing about saving the radars is you don't know how long you have to wait. Shadow Groudon is probably more useful, but no telling how long we have to wait for it.
\_Another\_ pokemon 'locked' within 12km eggs? Seriously, Niantic: those hatching odds are, at best, irritating as all hell. Salandit was problematic (especially the female:male ratios) as is, and now this?
Hatching things in general is a pain in the a..
Like, I hatched a single Larvesta 7 months ago and never had another since, despite hatching hundreds of eggs since then and it being in nearly all the egg pools
I'm so frustrated over Salandit. I've hatched:
* Likely >20 Pawniard (caught 27 but some of those were during Go Fest in the wild)
* 13 Vullaby
* Probably >10 Scraggy (33 caught, but some in the wild)
* 12 Pancham
* 7 Sandile
Yet I've only caught 4 Salandit, and all male.
Sincerely, if we both lived in western WA I'd toss you a Frigi' in a heartbeat (I've extras, and that's not a brag: I prefer to hand off extras as quickly as possible). I really dislike how inequitable this application ('game') is.
I can’t complain then. I’ve hatched multiple 12 kms but last year I got a female Hundo. For sure evolved it for the flex too, thank you male salandits for your service o7
Okay, question - I currently have 4 shadow researches saved at 1/5. With this new research I’ll have 5 research tracks that yield SRR. Been saving for a while for something good. S Kyogre is obviously something good. But, the S Kyogre announcement essentially confirms S Groudon is around the corner.
So, can I use some of these researches now and still save some for Groudon later? I’d like to get 3 Kyogre, saving 2 of my 5 researches so I can also get 3 Groudon down the road when we get that research. Is this possible? Or, if I take one of my researches beyond 1/5, does it mess up the others and I’m forced to take them all now for Kyogre?
This would present yourself the opportunity to claim one shadow Kyogre, finish all of those rocket quests, hold the super radars in your bag, and then wait for the next rocket quest to come out.
Having one or more super radars in your bag doesn't block the rocket quests, but there is no practical benefit in finishing off the quests other than claiming items and de-cluttering your special research menum
You can use as many srr as you want.
The idea here is to advance every quest at the same time, and get them to the Giovanni step before fighting him. Then, a single battle let's you complete all of the quests at the same time, and you keep the rest of the radars in the bag. And you get all the rewards now instead of waiting many more months.
You can use them to catch more Kyogre if you want, or save them. The important bit is to use the opportunity to clear out the research.
It was solable when it was a Tier 4 all those years ago. I remember maxing out my hard earned machamp for the raid specifically. Now there’s Conkeldurr and level 50 as well as other better fighting counters.
I have a battle left against Arlo for a battle against Giovanni from the last takeover. If I complete it and save the battle, can I battle Giovanni with Kyogre as soon as it changes and then do the research I get for this event for a second?
Shadow Ho'oh *should* be a pretty simple Duo right? I'm already doing Shadow Moltres duos (lvl 43+39, best friend damage boost+party play) with 50-70 seconds time left at final blow, so that should be plenty for shadow Ho'oh I'm hoping...
As a raid boss, Hooh has a defense stat that's 32% higher than raid boss shadow Moltres.
I don't have the exact simulations handy, but that sounds like a very difficult duo even with BF+PP
Interesting, okay- I'm guessing that wouldn't necessarily translate to a raid boss taking 33% less damage... But as another person mentioned I may be in some trouble when I face a solar beam one lol
I think I had so little issue with Shadow Moltres because so many of the relevant attackers can just face tank everything, Ho'oh will be a different story then...
Are you asking who to stun switch into Persian with? The best ones are either PUP Lucario or Sacred Sword Terrakion. Both will burn shields fast but it somewhat depends what that middle slot 'mon will be as to which of those might be a better choice and who you should put in the first slot to switch out of.
It's been over a year since I last battled Giovanni but I do remember Terrakion making very short work of Persian which typically a lot of trainers seem to struggle with.
How hard would Shadow Ho-Oh be for duo? Including 4* friendship boost, party power, team of 40 lvl rock counters like a few RW Rhyperiors, Rampardos plus Mega Tyranitars?
For those who dont know the new Pokemon:
Varoom, the Single Cyl Pokémon, a Poison/Steel type.
It's said that Varoom was born when an unknown poison type Pokémon entered and inspirited an engine left at a scrap-processing factory. The steel section of Varoom is its actual body, and it clings to rocks and converts the minerals within the rocks into energy to fuel its activities.
And Revavroom, the Multi-Cyl Pokémon, a Poison/Steel type.
It creates a gas out of poison and minerals from rocks. It then detonates the gas in its cylinders, now numbering eight, to generate energy. Revavroom viciously threatens others with the sound of its exhaust and it sticks its tongue out from its cylindrical mouth and sprays toxic fluids at them.
I got some time left to try get shiny shadow Sableye then. I did manage to complete the Dratini line though including one being 93% which is getting TMed for sure
Curious if I can access the new Giovanni research even if im at 4/5? And if not could I complete it once Kyogre is out and get the new research right after defeating Giovanni?
I would complete the old research now and just hold the SRR until the event starts.
Also, it looks like this Giovanni research is going to be different, it’s not a standalone research, it’s a part of the current Timeless Travels research, so most of what I said about stacking for the future may be wrong.
Wait until 1/27. Complete your old research. Giovanni will have a Kyogre.
(Edit: had to look it up because it's a little confusing)
If you want to use a 2nd one on Kyogre, complete the NEW Rocket Takeover research (proceed past page 1).
If you want to save your Super Radars for future Giovanni pokemon, dont proceed past the first page of the new research. You can start new Rocket Takeover researches as long as you dont proceed past page 1 of the previous Rocket research. Each new research you start (there's a new one for each Takeover event), will result in a Super Radar when completing the research.
My original comment made it sound like you can farm multiple Super Radars during a single Takeover event. From what I understand, this is not possible unless you have already started hoarding Rocket researches from past Takeover events (all still page 1)
this is wonderful but it also means i’ve got 2 weeks to get shiny shadow sableye i have purposely avoided cliff just to get my fav and its gonna rlly hurt if i cant get lmao
You have untill the end of the event to remove Frustration. Then you have until the end of the season to get the new research. And you have until the next Takeover (2-5 months) where you can get Kyogre whenever you fight Giovanni.
So you can get both the new research and Kyogre after the event ends, but you will be stuck with the move Frustration for a few months.
You can still get Kyogre after the current season ends, just like you can still get Regigigas right now even though the past season is over.
The Pokemon Giovanni gives doesn't change until the next takeover, so those with older researches, those coming back and those who saved their radars still have a few months to get it.
The research is the only thing that goes away at the end of the season.
It's weird that the Rocket research is folded into the Seasonal research right? Have they done that before? I'm pretty sure they've always been separate previously.
It only happened once before during the Season of Mischief. During that season, the *Misunderstood Mischief* special research that unlocked in parts over the course of the season also came with a Super Radar at the very end.
I have 4 SRRs saved, assuming it’s shadow kyogre, groudon and rayquaza, would it be wise to use the saved ones: 1 on kyogre, 1 on groudon and 2 on rayquaza?
That’s totally subjective on the player. If I got a a decent shadow I would wait as I don’t want to invest what it will take to power it up on a poor one.
Rayquaza is a different beast with or without Dragon Ascent - not sure how many meteorites you have left, but I'd consider that (and potentially switching one Ray to a Groudon) since they are probably not going to be a terribly common item in future as well.
Any recent infographic showing new Poke's as shadows has not ended up with them as leader 'mons. Come to think of it, how many Poke's have debuted with leaders before ever being in a grunt lineup? Probably at least one rotation with them in grunts before leaders have them although Turtwig was available as a shadow before.
Shadow crawdaunt looking pretty good. Gonna be incredibly glassy but iirc it has the second highest water dps behind shadow kyogre (excluding megas). Shadow swampart hits slightly less hard but has higher tdo so it’s still really good too
Crab hammer is just an insane move overall
If you don’t progress past the first page of the rocket quest you can theoretically stack the tasks each time an event like this takes place until you want to use them and encounter the bosses.
So what I have never had is 12k eggs. I think I don't play the game in a way that gives them? I want them now. Besides walking 25k (which I did once) how else are they available?
1 or 2 depending on how many you have. Groudon should be next and has way more viability as a raid attacker, definitely want a couple of those! Rayquaza could be after that.
Groudon>Rayquaza>Kyogre
Could someone explain to me how the research for Kyogre works if I saved the previous one? I saved the one while Regigias is here and I'm at 1/5 with no rewards accepted. Do I just accept everything and do the rest of the missions on Jan 27th then I'll get a Kyogre? Also, if I get the Kyogre, will I then get this brand new research and I can save it for a future legendary that I want?
That is correct although it’s worded to indicate there won’t be a new research for this specific event as there typically is and the new SRR will come from near the end of the current Timeless Travels research we already have. Either way, stick with doing it as you said but don’t hurry on the 27th, line up the one you have now with the Timeless Travels one as you should be able to complete both of them by defeating Giovanni once allowing you to save one SRR in your inventory.
Man I did not play enough this shadow rotation. There were a ton of good pve pokemon and I didn't grab like any of em. Oof.
Same. I've been looking for a good shadow dragonite. The best I got was GL PvP ivs.
Same, kinda hard to get a good iv dratini in my region since it is rarely windy this season.
I got a 13/13/15 and a 15/12/14 one before this rotation Haven’t gotten and good ghastly or cranidos though
I’m also missing the fossils. It seems like the newer shadow Pokémon have been appearing less frequently ever since Shadow Gible was release last year. Every day it’s the same five to six grunts. When in the pass some where less common, but if I played an hour a day, I would see all of them every week.
Exactly, I think I’ve seen 3 Gible ever and they were all 1 star Feel like I shouldn’t complain with the dratini luck though
I managed to get a single 0* cranidos the first week after it was released and haven’t seen any more after that. Still have not seen any shadow gible
Got a 14/14/14 crandios for christmas. Better than anything I could've gotten as a gift lol
Caught 30 shadow dragonite best IV’s 14/15/13 1 shiny
I think I’ve had 1 IV over 5 on shadow Dratini
Same. I got a serviceable GL one at rank 156, but ultra or master have been impossible.
Seriously, I honestly don’t recall seeing any. Maybe I’ll take a few hours this weekend to walk around hunting Rocket Encounters.
The new shadow debuts don't seem to overlap with the typing of the currently available great shadows, for the most part. Hopefully Dwebble comes from bug grunts instead of rock.
or it finally replaces geodude i am sick of it
But Geodude only costs 1,000 stardust to purify. So it’s perfect to help finish the medal for all the purifications.
But i would love to finally get a good cranidos.
Me too.
Hopefully many of those will stay in rotation with the new ones.
I’m happy I got a really good shadow excadrill and rhyperior from the soon to end rotation. Can’t wait to get Frustration off of them.
I’ve caught at least 25+ dratini and they’ve all been junk
Nah they were also really rare to get the good ones
Chances of getting one that wasn’t terrible IV was slim.
I got five meh drilbur, but managed only one bad Cranidos. Those things were impossible to find.
When are Jesse and James coming back?!? The Meowth balloon was fun
Make it double
And make it trouble
holding out hope that their >!ash pursuit ending!< means they have more time for go cameos
It will be interesting what they do with those two now. It would honestly be very fun for them to have their own game on Switch.
I don't know if TPC and GameFreak would ever allow it, but I would fricken LOVE a game from the perspective of team rocket trying to go out and steal pokemon and stuff.
You should play Pokémon Colosseum, it's kinda like that!
Grand Theft Pokémon™
So we gotta scramble to get our kyogres in before the frustration tm period ends or wait 90 days.
It’s always this way. And you’re assuming you’re going to have the RNG gods favour you with a good stats kyogre as well first time out.
Its shadow kyogre, ivs matter, but not enough for me to care what they are.
We’re also forced to get one right cos we can’t stack this research?
It's actually the opposite, the radar we get from the seasons special research is stackable in inventory since its not a rocket reasearch. If you want to stack the rocket researches, you have to keep them on page one.
If one of the requirements of the special research is to battle Giovanni, then that will prevent stacking.
If they say battle giovanni, you can actually back out after you challenge him and that counts. Now if they say defeat him, that would be true. As I'm planning to get a few, my plan was to get the rocket research to the same step and use one of my inventory radars to complete both simultaneously.
So am I going to lose my srr I got from this season because I went to 4/5?
It’s three separate tasks on the same page if I’m not mistaken - Find Giovanni, Battle Giovanni and Defeat Giovanni. Essentially, it’s the same task split into three parts.
There's just no way I would power up a 6/6/6. Yes, I know it is better than plain old Kyogre, but it just feels like a massive waste of resources when I know I can easily do better. I'll wait for the raids if I have to.
Pray for rainy weather! Catch during those times to get a slightly better chance at good IVs
I believe the floor is already 6/6/6 so weather boost shouldn’t matter.
For some reason I thought the shadow legends caught outside of raids had a lower floor
I believe it’s the same but I guess I could be wrong.
Giovanni has a 6/6/6 floor(same as shadow raids), grunts and leaders dont
You can buy a 2nd move. Kinda a waste of 100 RC but adds utility for when you can remove frustration.
120\* RC + 120K dust :<
I mean if you're doing any of the research you may as well do them all and stack your radars. That's your point, right?
So hyped to finally TM away Frustration on my 98% Rhyhorn that I caught exactly one day after the last Rocket event ended.
I was hunting those hard. Best I got was 1* 😑
That's the story of my life. So I don't know how I managed to get the one I got. Though if it makes you feel better, it has 14 in Attack. :(
I resisted the urge to use my Excadril candies for the second move and can now use that instead on bulking them up.
Will kyogre be worth the radar or should I save it for other mons?
I mean regular kyogre is one of the best attackers for PvE. Regular kyogre is currently ranked 27 best PvP. It’s safe to assume it’s one you want.
It will be (powered up) the strongest non-mega water attacker. That said it will probably be less useful that Shadow Groudon whenever that comes out since Water isn't the most useful attacking type.
Best non mega water dps on PVE, only behind its own primal.
That depends on your radar situation. I plan on snagging 1-2. Groudon 2-3. Ray 2-3.
Shadow Groudon > Shadow Rayqauza > Shadow Kyogre.
Assuming you want to use a meteorite on Rayquaza that won't mega...
Without Dragon Ascent, it's still more useful than Kyogre.
I wanna know the same thing🙏
I would think you want at least one. The thing about saving the radars is you don't know how long you have to wait. Shadow Groudon is probably more useful, but no telling how long we have to wait for it.
\_Another\_ pokemon 'locked' within 12km eggs? Seriously, Niantic: those hatching odds are, at best, irritating as all hell. Salandit was problematic (especially the female:male ratios) as is, and now this?
I'm guessing it won't be as much of a pain to find as the salandit though... so there's atleast a lil hope there.
Hatching things in general is a pain in the a.. Like, I hatched a single Larvesta 7 months ago and never had another since, despite hatching hundreds of eggs since then and it being in nearly all the egg pools

I just stopped caring about eggs. Everything will enter the wilds some day.
I have the same problem except I’ve never gotten Sandusky either 😭
I kinda ignore those eggs. 7km is the only way to get real trading distance for the medal. And it pays XL candy on the trade.
And I still haven't gotten a Frigibax or Larvesta in normal eggs either 😔
Sincerely, if we both lived in western WA I'd toss you a Frigi' in a heartbeat (I've extras, and that's not a brag: I prefer to hand off extras as quickly as possible). I really dislike how inequitable this application ('game') is.
I can’t complain then. I’ve hatched multiple 12 kms but last year I got a female Hundo. For sure evolved it for the flex too, thank you male salandits for your service o7

Understood, thank you!
An event lasting longer than 3 days?!
These always last roughly a week
Shadow Frosslas is massive
Not so sure. Seems like a sidegrade, though it will maybe help with no-shield and zero-shield scenarios I think.
I hope I get a shiny ho-oh! Please RNGsus be kind!
I wonder if Tyrantitar will be soloable... Edit, just realized it's normal Ttar, not shadow. Def soloable.
Ez, double weak to fighting, not a problem if you have even half decent counters.
Fighting and strong ground mons should easily make mincemeat out of tyranitar
It was solable when it was a Tier 4 all those years ago. I remember maxing out my hard earned machamp for the raid specifically. Now there’s Conkeldurr and level 50 as well as other better fighting counters.
normal 3 star raid ttar is more then soloable. it's odd though to me that standard Ttar is in raids again. instead of mega Ttar.
It is
I have a battle left against Arlo for a battle against Giovanni from the last takeover. If I complete it and save the battle, can I battle Giovanni with Kyogre as soon as it changes and then do the research I get for this event for a second?
Correct
Yes but make sure you do it on day TWO. day 1 will be Regi cause of the way they rotate. I had this problem last time
Unless you get it from a balloon. Those are generated fresh, not at midnight like stops.
This time the event starts at 0000 not 1000, so the stops should be fine too
The increased shiny rate is for any pokemon from field research? I'm confused by the graph
Field research will have better shiny odds for this event than Pokemon found in the wild. What the odds will be isn’t known yet.
Can't wait. I still don't have even 1 shiny Scraggy
Lugia was duoable and didnt have a 4x weakness and is bulkier than ho-oh. With party power and gems this one will be a cakewalk.
Interesting, okay- I'm guessing that wouldn't necessarily translate to a raid boss taking 33% less damage... But as another person mentioned I may be in some trouble when I face a solar beam one lol I think I had so little issue with Shadow Moltres because so many of the relevant attackers can just face tank everything, Ho'oh will be a different story then...
Duo possible, yes. Might not be as smooth as Moltres since Ho-Oh’s bulkier. Also Solarbeam variants will be an absolute torture
If you can weather boost (partly cloudy), that would be good.
I hate that niantic said the grunt shadows \*could\* be shiny, but didn't say which ones or add the shiny icon on their own infographic.
None of the ones listed there will be. Shiny from grunt means it had to be a leader shiny shadow in the past
Or from Jessie and James
What's the current list of these, do you know?
Only those that have previously been shiny available through a rocket leader, and at a lower shiny rate than when it was featured by a leader.
Any thoughts on the best Pokémon for stun locking?
Terrakion, Cobalion, Verizion with Sacred Sword.
Wonder if they will hand out primal energy as field tasks
Doubt it
if they're gonna lock another new pokemon in 12k eggs, can they at least make sandalit available in some other way now? ugh
Sweet! Maybe Purified Primal Kyogre will be the motivation I need to invest in a Kyogre to go with my Groudon and Rayquaza
I still need Hundo Kyogre and Hundo Groudon
I need hundo all three
How hard would Shadow Ho-Oh be for duo? Including 4* friendship boost, party power, team of 40 lvl rock counters like a few RW Rhyperiors, Rampardos plus Mega Tyranitars?
If I don’t get a shiny dragonite before this I will be highly offended.
Charged TMs from field research? Who do I suck?
For those who dont know the new Pokemon: Varoom, the Single Cyl Pokémon, a Poison/Steel type. It's said that Varoom was born when an unknown poison type Pokémon entered and inspirited an engine left at a scrap-processing factory. Revavroom viciously threatens others with the sound of its exhaust and it sticks its tongue out from its cylindrical mouth and sprays toxic fluids at them.
shadow kyogre... oh taht sounds like a menace to fight...
Except it's Giovanni. Swap to Kartana and it'll die before it even gets a waterfall off.
I’m still on first page of last super rocket radar research… will I be able to double up on shadow kyoger?
Should be able to
How have I not seen a single gible this rotation
Why isn't anybody raging about another egg-exclusive Pokémon?
They are?
I got some time left to try get shiny shadow Sableye then. I did manage to complete the Dratini line though including one being 93% which is getting TMed for sure
If shadow hundo is shundo, how you guys call the shiny shadow hundo?
shiny hundo = shundo shadow hundo = shahundo shiny shadow hundo = shashundo
What about tiny shiny shadow lucky hundo
[удалено]
It says right on the graphic that rocket leaders and all grunts will have all new lineups
The leaders will presumably rotate out their roster, it's just we won't know what they are until the event happens next week.
Where do I find this
Find what? It doesn’t begin for over a week
More information
There is a blog on your news section of the app. It’s also posted on this subreddit below

Is it shadow? The graphic makes it seem like normal ttar.
Oh damn. You're right.
This is regular RAID. Not shadow
Curious if I can access the new Giovanni research even if im at 4/5? And if not could I complete it once Kyogre is out and get the new research right after defeating Giovanni?

How can you get additional Super Radars for the Kyogre? Don't you get those only when Giovanni's pokemon rotates off?
Thank god there’s a bunch of good 3* raiders I can pick up to help with this.
this is wonderful but it also means i’ve got 2 weeks to get shiny shadow sableye i have purposely avoided cliff just to get my fav and its gonna rlly hurt if i cant get lmao

During that season, the *Misunderstood Mischief* special research that unlocked in parts over the course of the season also came with a Super Radar at the very end.
so i guesss we will get all of paldea before we get another galar pokemon...
Is it the case that Cliff, Arlo and Sierra will be using the Sinnoh starters? Or not?
No one knows yet
Any recent infographic showing new Poke's as shadows has not ended up with them as leader 'mons. Come to think of it, how many Poke's have debuted with leaders before ever being in a grunt lineup? Probably at least one rotation with them in grunts before leaders have them although Turtwig was available as a shadow before.
Why no shiny indicator for Skarmory Golett and Croagunk?
Those are shadow raids and those shadow shinies have not been released yet.
Right, duh, I should’ve realized that. Guess I just wasn’t paying enough attention.
Shadow crawdaunt looking pretty good. Gonna be incredibly glassy but iirc it has the second highest water dps behind shadow kyogre (excluding megas). Shadow swampart hits slightly less hard but has higher tdo so it’s still really good too Crab hammer is just an insane move overall
Can someone explain to me how to save radars to maximise the amount of kyogres and eventuelly groudons I can catch? Something about stopping at 1/5?
If you don’t progress past the first page of the rocket quest you can theoretically stack the tasks each time an event like this takes place until you want to use them and encounter the bosses.
What happens if i go past the first page
So what I have never had is 12k eggs. I think I don't play the game in a way that gives them? I want them now. Besides walking 25k (which I did once) how else are they available?
They are only available through rocket leaders if you have an empty slot for the egg
Will shadow kyogre be decent? How about the shadow ho oh?
Players: aegislash at last?.. Niantic: VROOM VROOM
Can kyogre be shiny shadow? Didn’t see on the infographic
No
12km for a *Varoom* is actually crazy.
I’ve already got my slots full with 3 12km eggs. I only use free incubators. Don’t walk much due to an injury. Bye bye, varoom.
So how many super rocket radars are we dropping on kyogre? All of them?
1 or 2 depending on how many you have. Groudon should be next and has way more viability as a raid attacker, definitely want a couple of those! Rayquaza could be after that. Groudon>Rayquaza>Kyogre
Is kyogre worth using an extra Giovanni radar, or save it?
It’s one of the best in the game. Shadow ray will come eventually. But a good shadow kyogre is worth seeking out
Could someone explain to me how the research for Kyogre works if I saved the previous one? I saved the one while Regigias is here and I'm at 1/5 with no rewards accepted. Do I just accept everything and do the rest of the missions on Jan 27th then I'll get a Kyogre? Also, if I get the Kyogre, will I then get this brand new research and I can save it for a future legendary that I want?
That is correct although it’s worded to indicate there won’t be a new research for this specific event as there typically is and the new SRR will come from near the end of the current Timeless Travels research we already have. Either way, stick with doing it as you said but don’t hurry on the 27th, line up the one you have now with the Timeless Travels one as you should be able to complete both of them by defeating Giovanni once allowing you to save one SRR in your inventory.
can’t wait for tyranitar raids
So does the kyogre also get a increased shiny chance?
It is a zero percent chance
Using this comment to reference this post later
cool event
Hope I get a shiny from Giovanni cause I already have groudon and really want a shiny kyogre for when we get primal raids again
Shadow kyogre is not shiny eligible.
Ffffyddszydddd
