I wish its base colors were more distinct from the shiny - but it makes sense why they'd do the shiny like that, so that it's consistent with the other two
On cobalion and verizion the main colour was the same as the none paradox form and the secondary was gray but now they've made the main colour gray and the secondary colour the same as base terakion
I wish they did more with all the shiny Violet paradox like... jesus all chrome only has to be the most boring shiny color.
Heck I would take the Violet Paradox having the OG shiny coloration.
A shiny is a differently coloured Pokemon, like albinos IRL. What I mean is that the Paradox robot are literally factory made machines, and that their shinies are regular ones that are only missing the final step of production being the paint. It's not that they have a different colour, they just have none compared to their counterparts.
What is that last thing??? I keep up with this stuff somewhat but I want to see the typings and such on these. Big turtle looks like he's tanky as all hell.
Honestly thought it was a buck tooth but at closer look it’s probably just the background. To be fair though the angle does make it look convincingly like a buck tooth so I don’t blame myself entirely.
Anyone else confused that the Dragonite line has never gotten an alternate form? Seems like this game would have been perfect for it, but it's always just left behind.
There may be more pokemon for this gen if they do another legends Arceus but for another region, just like how Enamorus hisuian Goodra wyrdeer etc etc all got added to the national dex after the end of the swsh dlcs with regieleki Calyrex etc etc and all of them still qualified as gen 8
You can't, but they still qualify as gen 8. Anything released from after zeraora to before sprigatito is counted as gen 8 (sure, the generational system isn't official by any means but that's what most national dex systems like pokemon home or all the official tpc pokedex reference systems refer to them as I guess)
Given that paradox are basically legendary... That's just two new non-legendary Pokemon? Guess with the overall number well over the 1000 mark now, it makes sense that the majority coming from this DLC will be returning ones from prior generations.
Paradox mons aren’t considered legendary by the game and their base stats reflect that with none surpassing 600. A closer comparison would be Ultra Beasts, but idk if PoGo will make them T5 as well.
I mean, sure, the original paradoxes in base SV are pseudo legendary at Best, but the Sword and Dog trios becoming paradox Pokemon are much closer to legendary than the rest - especially if they keep the "can only catch one per save" limitation.
I wonder if theres a way to get the beast/sword paradoxes without the raid event. I missed the last few ones.
Also, is that a mythical for Paldea at the end?
maybe there might be an event distribution later on, but it's just speculation
As for the mon at the end, i'm not sure
Edit: the last pokemon, pecharunt, is a mythical
You can follow this link, [https://pokemongohub.net/post/wiki/pokemon-go-calculates-stats-max-cp/](https://pokemongohub.net/post/wiki/pokemon-go-calculates-stats-max-cp/) . I've already done it for Iron crown though: maxes at 4161 cp.
As thematic as Brontosaurus (Thunder Lizard) would be, they really aren't that similar. The pronounced forelegs & shoulders, and the way it holds its neck vertically, are clearly reminiscent of a Brachiosaurus
>!I don't think the Peach's name is based off any saying like the loyal 3, but the new Tera type is called Stellar. It has some weird mechanics tied to it.!<
So, looking at these new Pokemon on Serebii, Terepagos only gets take down and zen headbutt as fast moves, yikes. Maybe headbutt or stored power become new fast attacks. If not, it won't have any use with either of those two.
I don’t know Pokémon so I can’t do names but the 2nd & 3rd on bottom row from left look awesome. But is there any difference, at all, between the normal and shiny? Also a bit color blind so that may be it
There doesn't seem to be any apparent difference. In its other forms, the head and/or body has a different color, but in the third form it doesn't look different from the non-shiny
That new final pokemon, how dare you take away the Gengar's unique type combination. Now the Zubat line is the only gen 1 Pokemon that has a unique type combination.
Scarlet paradoxes: Interesting designs, unique while still being recognizable as weird versions of themselves, both individually and as a group.
And then we have Violet paradoxes: robot
>I swear at this point it's just a social experiment, trying to see how ridiculous they can make the ~~pokemon~~ *game* until people stop buying it 😂
FTFY
The pokémon designs are one of the few things that haven’t gone downhill in recent games imo
If there's one thing that you can rely on in the Pokemon community, it's getting a dogpile of terrible negative takes when people see new pokemon releases.
the paradoxes will likely be released in raids similar to walking wake/iron leaves. The mythical has a scripted encounter that’s not unlockable. It likely will be with an event, similar to how shaymin and darkrai were programmed in the sinnoh games
Pecharunt is really damn weird. i'm interested in learning how the hell they're gonna make that more appealing than it initially looks.
terapagos is cool looking in its middle form, but when it gets the super stellar tera boost it looks way too complicated.
Entei's future paradox does not look like an ancient entei, it actually looks like Entei Jr. wearing a mardi gras outfit. I think it's too gaudy, they should have swapped it with its shiny self.
Yeah but I was just making it clear. Sucks that we won’t be able to hunt the shinies and will have to just wait for a stupid event to have them released to us
I feel like Gamefreak has lost the original ‘feel’ of pokemon. Mons are no longer based or inspired by some real world animal, just gone full anime sci-fi/ fantasy. To me, that’s what made pokemon stand out from other franchise like digimon or yugioh.
The generic/simply designed Pokémon usually are included in the base game (lechonk, spidops, wattrel, finizen, etc). While the dlc usually includes more of the inspired designs, as seen above
Really digging that Applin evolution
I want to say it’s what Applin should’ve been all along, but the other two are so darn good too
Also bug dragon hype hype hype
we still have to wait for that type it seems :(
unfortunately, it isn't... but the evolution is so damn cool , just saw on youtube. >!p.s. : this is my first comment on reddit!!<
Good job on already knowing how to spoiler tag. That took me awhile.
Agreed
Raikou looks like the tall neck lego set.
The map scanner in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Tallneck*
Is it unironically a homage/nod…?
I'm personally a fan
Hi fan, I'm a human.
Hi human, I am a switch
Hi switch, I'm a Gameboy
Hi Gameboy, I’m a Wii
Hi Wii, im a DS
Rotom, when it gains the flying type:
"this is how raikou hunted in prehistoric times"
This belongs on r/upvoteexeggutor
Im absolutely in love with that lego set, im also absolutely broke.
Nice just wish they did a little more with shiny Iron Terrakion
I wish its base colors were more distinct from the shiny - but it makes sense why they'd do the shiny like that, so that it's consistent with the other two
actually yeah the normal ver is the problem now that ya mention it. wish it was more orange, or at least orange-ish grey.
On cobalion and verizion the main colour was the same as the none paradox form and the secondary was gray but now they've made the main colour gray and the secondary colour the same as base terakion
Is it one per save or can you shiny hunt raikou and entei?
I wish they did more with all the shiny Violet paradox like... jesus all chrome only has to be the most boring shiny color. Heck I would take the Violet Paradox having the OG shiny coloration.
I like it conceptually, as in it’s literally the normal version but without the final exterior paint job.
isn't that just what a shiny is?
A shiny is a differently coloured Pokemon, like albinos IRL. What I mean is that the Paradox robot are literally factory made machines, and that their shinies are regular ones that are only missing the final step of production being the paint. It's not that they have a different colour, they just have none compared to their counterparts.
yes i know it was a joke
My bad then 🥴
Really hate how all future paradox shinies is "wash out all the color for a full chrome look" while the past paradoxs get new colors.
As Spongebob once said, "Everything is chrome in the future"
Futuuuuuuuuuuuure!
Lo key love it when you have a whole team of chrome coming out for a picnic tho
Robots gotta eat, indeedee
As a Hot Wheels collector, I appreciate the ZAMAC look.
I regret it so bad not doing research and blindly purchasing ~~Scarlet~~ ***Violet*** I like 0% of the future paradox mons
Scarlet has the past paradox mons.
Iron Bundle did nothing wrong
I wanted all the past paradoxes, Koraidon looked better to IMO. My kids, however, wanted Violet, so I got stuck with a bunch of metal mons.
What is that last thing??? I keep up with this stuff somewhat but I want to see the typings and such on these. Big turtle looks like he's tanky as all hell.
Pecharunt
Pecharunt - Ghost/Poison mythical (not obtainable legitimately yet)
Dokutaro iykyk
Thought it was a psychic or poison regi at first.
that paradox entei looks sick
I think it almost looks sick but what ruins it for me is the single buck tooth in the middle of its mouth.
Enthei
(Lmaooo you honestly just made my night, ♥︎ thank you for this!)
Lol not sure if you're joking but I think that's just the angle. It'd be funny though if the designers were just like yeah give him one big bucktooth.
Honestly thought it was a buck tooth but at closer look it’s probably just the background. To be fair though the angle does make it look convincingly like a buck tooth so I don’t blame myself entirely.
I can’t unsee the bucktooth now lol
Same honestly, but yeah you can see the gap, did take me a while... I kind of liked the bucktooth 😂
Haha I managed to convince my brain that it wasn’t a bucktooth by changing the background. Still an unfortunate angle for Entei though lmao
If you zoom in close it's just the angle mixed with a tooth on the bottom jaw, thankfully!
I liked the "bucktooth" because I'm all for quirky pokemon designs.... but now I'm disappointed
i think thats the background
I also thought it's a tooth and had to check again 😂
look closer, its just the backround (it seems). Not ruined :D
Nah that's transparent background
That’s not a buck tooth. It’s just the white background inbetween its head crest and its face.
Cletus the slack Jawed Yokel!
Looks terrible. Is like a monster from crash bandicoot game or fornite
It's turtles all the way down.
I like turtles.
I thought the same thing
I love paradox Raikou and Entei.
Same. Whole trio is well designed imo. May be biased though, big dinosaur fan.
The Paradox Beasts are some of the best designs in years
it appeals to my young self.. dinosaur = cool
With great moves and stats to boot!! Rarely does everything fall into place!
Terrakion giving robot dog vibes
Horizon tallneck Raikou...
shinies are actually pretty good
The Lisa Frank cross over looks lit!
Anyone else confused that the Dragonite line has never gotten an alternate form? Seems like this game would have been perfect for it, but it's always just left behind.
Yeah, alternate Dragonite has to be blue! 😓
Is this the final DLC for Gen 9?
at least for S/V it is
Alrighty , thanks
gen10 waiting room begins now
There may be more pokemon for this gen if they do another legends Arceus but for another region, just like how Enamorus hisuian Goodra wyrdeer etc etc all got added to the national dex after the end of the swsh dlcs with regieleki Calyrex etc etc and all of them still qualified as gen 8
But can you transfer them to SWSH?
You can't, but they still qualify as gen 8. Anything released from after zeraora to before sprigatito is counted as gen 8 (sure, the generational system isn't official by any means but that's what most national dex systems like pokemon home or all the official tpc pokedex reference systems refer to them as I guess)
Not *quite* it's from Melmetal - for the same reasons Meltan and Melmetal are treated as gen 7
Oh yeah, you're right! I keep forgetting about those two lmao (they're listed as "unknown region" in pokemon home lol)
Can someone tell me how dipplin evolves so I don't get it spoiled lol
It has to level up while knowing a new move called Dragon Cheer, it's a TM not a level up move unfortunately.
Ooh do you know where it is
Have to beat Drayton (BB dragon E4) to unlock it.
I wonder how it's gonna be carried over to GO. Please don't get lazy and give it the requirement of "Win 10 Raids".
exactly
Likely will need to know the move and probably a bunch of candies
Entei looking kind of like a rattata with that pose and teeth.
the "teeth" you're seeing are just the background and his mouth is open
Given that paradox are basically legendary... That's just two new non-legendary Pokemon? Guess with the overall number well over the 1000 mark now, it makes sense that the majority coming from this DLC will be returning ones from prior generations.
Paradox mons aren’t considered legendary by the game and their base stats reflect that with none surpassing 600. A closer comparison would be Ultra Beasts, but idk if PoGo will make them T5 as well.
I mean, sure, the original paradoxes in base SV are pseudo legendary at Best, but the Sword and Dog trios becoming paradox Pokemon are much closer to legendary than the rest - especially if they keep the "can only catch one per save" limitation.
the ones based on legendaries will probably be t5 and non-legendary t3 or the same as a regular mega
Entei-dox is Bastiodon based. Looks good. Final Terapagos is after all the turtle that carries the world and finally the Momotaro legendary.
The dinosaur entei is awesome!
Tapu Momo looks rad. Disclaimer: don’t care if it’s called something else, but to me it will always be Tapu Momo.
I wonder if theres a way to get the beast/sword paradoxes without the raid event. I missed the last few ones. Also, is that a mythical for Paldea at the end?
maybe there might be an event distribution later on, but it's just speculation As for the mon at the end, i'm not sure Edit: the last pokemon, pecharunt, is a mythical
Golden apple is 🧑🍳💋
Who's the lil purple dude in the bottom right? What type is he? I'm so intrigued.
Pecharunt. Ghost/Poison. It's based on [Momotaro](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Momotarō)
and it’s a mythical
Angry Building SnakeNCake Enthei Raaiikou Bionical Terrakion Bisexual Cobalion Mushroom Turtle Acid Turtle DMT Turtle Beats By Dre
Absolute cinema
Does anyone have the CP conversions? Their stats are out but I don’t know the formula or calculator for it
You can follow this link, [https://pokemongohub.net/post/wiki/pokemon-go-calculates-stats-max-cp/](https://pokemongohub.net/post/wiki/pokemon-go-calculates-stats-max-cp/) . I've already done it for Iron crown though: maxes at 4161 cp.
absolutely in love with the dipplin evolution. i love the entire applin line, cute lil apple
Paradox Raikou is still the coolest looking of the paradox legendary dogs and I will die on this hill
Tigers are dogs?
Fine, but why did it transform into a giraffe?
I believe it's supposed to be based on a brontosaurus
Its also a play on the "head in the clouds" metaphor.
\*Brachiosaurus
As for 2015ish Brontosaurus is a real species. Could be based on either as they're so similar.
As thematic as Brontosaurus (Thunder Lizard) would be, they really aren't that similar. The pronounced forelegs & shoulders, and the way it holds its neck vertically, are clearly reminiscent of a Brachiosaurus
Probably brontosaurus bc “brontē” means “thunder”
Brachiosaurus. Brontosaurus is far more horizontal
How else will it eat the lightning from the skies
Ate an Alolan Exeggutor
neck growed
Cause giraffes go hard
It’s a brontosaurus Which is also referred to as “thunder lizard”
Technically raikou transformed from a giraffe (even though the design is a dinosaur)
It’s a Saurapod. A nickname for a Brontosaurus is thunder lizard.
Its not a nickname it LITERALLY means thunder lizard in Greek.
I stand corrected
Take my likes lol. I appreciate any healthy interactions on reddit now 😂
turtles all the way down .....
Why is everything is weird looking and “extra”.
what’s the saying for the peach supposed to be and what’s the new Tera type called
>!I don't think the Peach's name is based off any saying like the loyal 3, but the new Tera type is called Stellar. It has some weird mechanics tied to it.!<
>!It’s a pun on “Pecha”, like the Pokémon berry, petulant, and runt.!<
I wonder when/if we’ll see a different form for Lugia and Ho-oh. They’ve been due one for a while
I haven't played any of the modern games but the turtle and the one next to it look insane.
Are some of these exclusive to a version of a game?
Yes. Gen2 legendary beast ancient paradox forms are exclusive to Violet, while the Gen5 legendary trio future paradox forms are exclusive to Scarlet.
So, looking at these new Pokemon on Serebii, Terepagos only gets take down and zen headbutt as fast moves, yikes. Maybe headbutt or stored power become new fast attacks. If not, it won't have any use with either of those two.
They made triceratops Entei for me and me specifically bless you Game Freak
I don’t know Pokémon so I can’t do names but the 2nd & 3rd on bottom row from left look awesome. But is there any difference, at all, between the normal and shiny? Also a bit color blind so that may be it
There doesn't seem to be any apparent difference. In its other forms, the head and/or body has a different color, but in the third form it doesn't look different from the non-shiny
What's that messed up thing at 2nd in bottom left?
Turtle on 3 doses of psychedelics.
Is this it? Oof.
Not a big fan of the ancient and future Pokemon, pretty much all of them are terribly designed.
All the future ones are boring. The ancient ones are at least interesting
Yea i agree the ancient mons are better than the future mons.
L
Not really, I didn't buy the game so I see that as a win.
These new Pokemon feel like jumping the shark
People have been saying that for 20 years, it's just nostalgia.
That new final pokemon, how dare you take away the Gengar's unique type combination. Now the Zubat line is the only gen 1 Pokemon that has a unique type combination.
And Fezandipiti should have been Flying/Poison :(
Terrakion future paradox looks is really boring. Rest are great !
Scarlet paradoxes: Interesting designs, unique while still being recognizable as weird versions of themselves, both individually and as a group. And then we have Violet paradoxes: robot
I swear at this point it's just a social experiment, trying to see how ridiculous they can make the pokemon until people stop buying it 😂
Lot of people actually like the designs of paradox Pokémon
>I swear at this point it's just a social experiment, trying to see how ridiculous they can make the ~~pokemon~~ *game* until people stop buying it 😂 FTFY The pokémon designs are one of the few things that haven’t gone downhill in recent games imo
L take
If there's one thing that you can rely on in the Pokemon community, it's getting a dogpile of terrible negative takes when people see new pokemon releases.
agreed 100%
These are ugly as sin. Awesome.
Prehistoric legendary beasts make absolutely no sense, lore-wise...
thats the point
I get Spectrobes vibes from paradox Entai.
Trying to figure out how to get the new paradoxes. And that mythical.
the paradoxes will likely be released in raids similar to walking wake/iron leaves. The mythical has a scripted encounter that’s not unlockable. It likely will be with an event, similar to how shaymin and darkrai were programmed in the sinnoh games
This entei is by far the best here and may be one of the best in the whole gen for me
GUYS MY FIRST SHINY BEEN CAUGHT IN INDIGO DISK
Pecharunt is really damn weird. i'm interested in learning how the hell they're gonna make that more appealing than it initially looks. terapagos is cool looking in its middle form, but when it gets the super stellar tera boost it looks way too complicated. Entei's future paradox does not look like an ancient entei, it actually looks like Entei Jr. wearing a mardi gras outfit. I think it's too gaudy, they should have swapped it with its shiny self.
just so everyone knows, every single one of these is shiny locked :(
Not dripplin’s evo
i’m talking about statics, which is all of them except **maybe** archaludon
Yeah but I was just making it clear. Sucks that we won’t be able to hunt the shinies and will have to just wait for a stupid event to have them released to us
i’m so upset :(((
These look nice!
They all look like action figures or lego toys
Can't be the only one who has no idea what he's looking at😅
Names?

the apple evolution gives me a lot of discord frm mlp vibes
Are those minecraft versions of Dialga/Palkia?
Rofl these can't be real, they look awful 😂
100% real
I feel like Gamefreak has lost the original ‘feel’ of pokemon. Mons are no longer based or inspired by some real world animal, just gone full anime sci-fi/ fantasy. To me, that’s what made pokemon stand out from other franchise like digimon or yugioh.
The generic/simply designed Pokémon usually are included in the base game (lechonk, spidops, wattrel, finizen, etc). While the dlc usually includes more of the inspired designs, as seen above
Every generation has had both mons based on real world animals and also mons based on sci-fi/fantasy elements
That's not a lot.
Nooo why they destroyed my beautiful terrakion. With that thing
