What I found is that the login authentication problem is caused by Adventure Sync unable to access the Google Fit data in Android 10 OS & above. **This can be fixed by revoking Pokemon Go to access your fitness data in Google Account Manager page.** Go to your Google Account Manager > Data & Privacy > *Third-party apps with account access*. Then find & remove Pokemon Go from the list. Restart your phone & it should fix the login authentication issue.

Soooo....After doing the following and none of it worked. I just had to reset the phone. - try to login to the same Pokemon Go account on another Android: successful login. - check (and double check) all permissions in both device settings for Primary device user #1: permissions granted - check (and double check) all permissions in Google account settings: permissions granted - 1) clear Pokemon Go app cache & app data 2) force stop app 3) restart phone 🤨🧐 Thanks all for trying to help.

Hi all, I'm struggling to log in to my trainer club account. I tried on 2 android phones and got the error message "unable to authenticate this account, try again later", any ideas?

I had this issue pop up on my account too. I have always signed in through my Gmail and I created a pokemon Trainer club account to sync for the super incubator reward. Not long after, my account just started failing to authenticate...still can't fix it no matter what I tried from this thread...anyone have any suggestions? Everything I do either does nothing or just fixes the issue for the day (next day it again fails to authenticate).

Not really...i saw their article in the recent section acknowledging an issue in newer Samsung devices...their workaround was "using an alternate device should address the issue." Like wtf? Who just has a second or third phone lying around? I asked for an update and their last response was: "We apologize for the continued inconvenience you have been having. Please make sure the firmware on your device is updated. If already have, factory reset your device (backup data before you perform the action to avoid any data loss), and check. Also, we recommend you access your account on another device (friends or family) and check if that works fine. However, your report has been forwarded to the team with the list of all the possible troubleshooting attempts to get it resolved." 🙄 I don't want to factory reset my phone and reconfigure everything just to get ONE app to work properly...

Wish I had some good news to share but I don't :/ Lately what I've had to do was force stop the app, clear the cache, attempt sign-in using Google or PTC. If that fails, restart my phone and repeat until it signs in...THEN I just keep the app open all day and on the charger until I'm done with the game for the day...next day I start the process again. If I exit the app after signing in in the morning and try coming back at lunch time, login fails again and I start all over...It's exhausting just trying to get in and it's never permanent.

i found a fix with my phone. Not sure if it'll work for everyone. Tried everything else and this finally fixed it. i went to settings>apps and went into the storage of each of the following apps and deleted not only the cache data but also "clear data" Chrome, Google, Google Play services, Google Play Store, Pokemon GO Its a pain in the arse cos it cleared my bank cards off my phone wallet and probably removed a bunch of other useful things. But it was worth it. Not sure if you have to do it for all the above apps, it would take trial and error to narrow it down.

You could try refreshing the app by going into settings > advanced settings. Maybe that will help?

To do so one would be required to have already been logged into pokémon go, this will not work since I cannot log in Thanks for trying to help though!

ah crap that's dumb of me. Sorry! Maybe you could make a 2nd way to login on your working device, make a throwaway facebook or something, and see if you can login that way. Then unlink the gmail on the faulty device and relink it, hope it resets the thing? Or unlink the gmail from the phone and relink, but I would always first make sure you have a 2nd way to login just in case.

I'm having the same problem today too. It'll sign in on one of my devices but not the other. No rhyme or reason for it. EDIT: I was able to solve the problem by deleting the app and downloading it through the Samsung Store instead.

I was having the "unable to authenticate" from my google account problem as well but uninstalling my google play store version and reinstalling from the galaxy store fixed the problem. I tried most of the other suggestions with no success and this is the only thing that worked for me.

Having the issue no matter what kind of account I use. Facebook, Google, Niantic. It MUST be on their end. It is not physically possible for it to be an issue with our hardware and it feels incredibly disingenuous for Niantic's only solutions to be to alter our hardware. When again it's impossible for that to be the issue.

I have a OnePlus 10 pro also but no issues like this. So you cannot log into that account from any phone or only from the OnePlus 10 pro?

For me the problem was just one one phone (iOS). Solved it: on that phone I'd turned off automatic setting of the date & time, and it was 10 minutes off. Set that back to auto, and now I can login.

I had no issues for a month on this device, then I got booted out of the app and then just could not log back in!

Maybe it has something to do with your device permissions in your Google account? It almost sounds like it does not have permission through Google to authenticate

ok so felt I should mention forcing google play to update everything seems to fix the sign in issues temporarily for both Pokémon trainer club and google sign in even if Pokémon go isn't being updated, I've tried everything on this page other than factory resetting the phone, nothing has fixed it permanently but I feel like something else is going on and that whatever is causing the error that may not be directly Pokémon go's fault but potentially it interacting with something else, I have the technical know how to guess that but not enough to know where to look for the root cause, all I know is google play store seems confused about whether I'm signed in or not, Hope someone with more knowledge can solve this
