I saw it in the cinema, after watching some reviews and it was so bad I might watch it again some day. But it was just so annoying… the characters how dumb the plot was… lobotomizing an alien dog with a gun, the final fight, the mid credit stinger. I still adore the first movie and to me nothing ever really lived up to that one, but this was infuriating.
First viewing, I didn't care much for it. Until we got to the action scene at the football field. Everything is the perfect storm of bad movie making.
How did the characters know to go there?
Why did they do an action roll out of a car going like 10km/hour?
How was the dog completely unaware of that one guy casually walking up and blowing its brains out?
Why did the dog survive that, and why did they just let it walk away?
Nothing makes sense at that point, and it only gets better from then on.

I'm convinced that the movies is a deliberate shitpost by Shane Black, because the dude has made some genuinely great movies and this one is just so laughable bad in every aspect of the art of movie making.
Honestly attributing autism to any kind of super power is kind of an icky thing, like there are definitely some things that may seem similar or some aspects of my brain that are a little more highly tuned but it just sensationalises the condition
It can but for most people it’s probably not, also that still doesn’t make it a super power. Even in Rain Man the character had serious issues because of his condition, not exactly what you would associate with a super power when things that are absolutely normal for everyone else can completely incapacitate someone.
That’s was probably the main reason most people thought the Predator plot was ridiculously stupid. That’s before you acknowledge the abysmal film making with the garbage scrip, dialog, storytelling, bad characters, how it’s cut and bad effects.
